A little concerned at the lack of transfer activity. Montanier would have had a decent list of players surely. Is the lack of transfers down to lack of funds? Beginning to wonder about this takeover. Don't forget it was sure to happen 1st week in June? 6 weeks has passed and still nothing.

Try reading my post before you mouth off. At no point have I suggested we spend spend spend. I said I was concerned that we weren't seeing much activity. I'm quite happy signing freebies so it's got nothing to do with paying huge transfer fees. You usually come out with sensible posts so I assume you really didn't think before you posted?

Did someone really say it was sure to happen in the 1st week of june? if they did its a ridiculous statement especially as it was totally reliant on others. But I guess however ridiculous statements are people will always listen.

2Tone it was reported all over the national press, Internet and local press that the deal was to be concluded by the end of the 1st week in June. Listening to every media source out there then I'm sure fans thought it most likely believable rather than ridiculous. Does it not concern you that nothing has been announced yet?

It would concern me and most fans if it was announced that the takover was not happening and untill something is announced either way there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Who cares about the takeover? No news is good news. Let the businessmen sort it out.

We have a decent Manager taking a good look at his squad, pre-season has started, we already brought in a few and are obviously looking at a few more if the reports in the press are anything to go by. What more do you want? We're not going to sign 6 players in two weeks, give it time. We have another 7-weeks until the window closes!

Thomas Lam was free and Young and to me equals activity not spend. Of course he's been given a contract but I guess probably around £15k a week less than the player he's replacing or Wilson. That to me is very positive. For the record you can only use a young player if he is good enough and unfortunately we don't have enough. Hence my original post and the lack of activity. We will not compete without new additions.

Nick26 - you have the luxury of watching Forest over a number of years I am guessing? Montanier has had a couple of weeks so no doubt wants to run the rule over his squad and any potential young uns he sees as being good enough to step up to the 1st team squad. No doubt he will also be making his mind up about other players in the squad that he does not fancy and may want to move on too. he said as much in his press conference. I have no problem with this as it will help him decide what he needs for the team which he can then buy in before the window closes at the end of August or via the loan market. We need to be patient for a little while longer yet.

I've been watching Forest for over 40 years but not very often have I ever thought of it as a luxury ruddyforest? If only I could have looked at Brian Rice, Robert Rosario, Andrea Silenzi and Jason Lee as luxury players I might have a different perspective. My original point was I'm sure Montanier had players he has followed that he would like to bring here irrespective of what is here amongst the youth. I'm sure Lam was his signing but not so sure about Vesillios.
