Billy bongo, we do need new strikers and have for ages. 2 strikers were perused in jan but deals couldn’t be done. AK then showed a great piece of management in trying to build the confidence of the only one worth playing. What else could he do? B.B. wasn’t in the team because AK thought he’d come good with game time, he was the only option through no fault of his own. Had we signed other striker targets he wouldn’t have made the squad barring injures, for the final third of the season. He was our only option mate. AK has no option but to big him up after that point. He’s wastefulness at Bolton will have done him few favours I suspect.

Agree but he has gained valuable experience for a 19 year old and if we can bring in a few new strikers then I hope we can send B.B. on a short loan until January (maybe at Notts?) which might get him goal scoring confidence and he could prove a useful player for us in the second half of next season still and in future.
