As the dust has now settled l look back to last Sunday's game. I wonder what Gary Rowett said to his players prior to the match, did he say "let them know you are there, or rough them up a little ". Or was it some players had their own agenda's? Huddlestone deserved his two yellows for persistent fouling, and their left back was not so kind to Cash either. Richard Keogh never kept his arm of Brereton all game and he looks like an old man now, his time at Derby is all but over. I know he is only 31 but looks like he should play walking football. Are Derby a team, well to me Rowett has not got them singing off the same hymn sheet. At one stage this season they had a strong run but now as the important end of the season gathers pace, l wonder if Derby can hang onto a playoff place? They don't impress me. Don't know, but will Derby run foul of FFP, hope so.

The game can be summarised very simply.
Neither Rowett or Direby could afford to lose this game. Mad Mel has his trigger finger cocked.
Direby's weakness is their defence being turned as the are all old and slow.
Direby set up to stop Forest either side of the halfway from moving the ball quickly and exposing their defence.
Direby players took in turns to frustrate the flow of the game and made sure they did not foul within shooting distance.
Targeted Tomlin who achieved most fouled player in a Championship match.
Job Done.
Simples. No more hot air please!
Forest showed character and improvement in resilience which bodes well for the future.
With a more experienced centre forward we might have nicked it.
Game Over. Please move on!
Next up 3 points against The Blunts.

Red it was a derby every game against the sheep we show character and resilience there was nothing going forward even when they were down to 10 men and we could of lost the game 2-3 times if it weren’t for pants nothing excited me about that game and didn’t see any improvement apart from our goalkeeper

Skegsjay
3 out the last 5 years we have been tonked 5,3 and 2 nil by the sheep and not put up a fight so please stop being so contrary just for the sake of it and have the good grace to admit we are in a better place with Karanka in place?

Not exciting but as mentioned the reds showed resilience.
We would have lost that game 2 months ago.
The spine of the team is practically there, we now need to get the flesh on.
Full back, and a couple of forwards.
This is a tough league and resilient teams often make promotion over flare teams.
Your Burnley’s, Derby ,WBA and Stoke, weren’t flare teams but got up.
There are obviously exceptions.
Overall the ship has steadied and the manager can now look forward to the summer window to add a bit of flare up front .
