Just been reading an article on Liam o' Kane. He was a player at Nottingham Forest from 1968 until he retired as a player in 1977. During that time he suffered numerous injuries including two broken legs that ended his playing career. He remained with Forest until 2005 in one capacity or another including some time as Forest reserve team coach. He was also credited with bringing Roy Keane and Martin o' Neil to Forest. What a great man to remain with one team for 36 years. the man is a TRUE RED LEGEND. The man has seen it all, relegation, promotion, championships and European Cups and finally back to when he started, Forest in dire straits. Liam o' Kane I salute you. he also played 20 times for Northern Ireland.

I remember liam o' Kane ,my Dad always said he was class but unfortunately as you said injury prone ,he could play across the back four but was predominantly a right back,I suppose the flip side to his injuries was the emergence of Viv Anderson !
