Lot of chat about renaming the CG. Well if it's Red, White and looks like the CG it will always be the CG. Only two people have ever successfully changed their names. One is Muhammed Ali and the other is Clough Jr who went from 'our number nine' to. ( insert own punch line )!

I think over the next 10-15 years every club will change the names of their stadia. I generates huge sums of money for doing very little. look at Arsenal their deal with the airline Emirates is worth 100m over 10 years Ian not saying we would get anywhere near that amount but it would still be a vast amount of money I think Iam right in saying that the sheeps deal is worth 7m altogether so if low lifes like that can get 7m how much could we get with the connections Fawaz has in the middle east, bring it on I say.

With ffp we have to look at every way we can increase revenue

Businesses should make profit or at least be sustainable, if that means re-naming the ground then fine by me. I would rarther that than play in a lower league because of all the sanctions that are imposed on a club with financial difficulties. The addidas arena has a ring to it.

I agree renaming the city ground will help us with ffp but let's be honest no matter what it gets called we will all still call it the city ground anyway, them lot down the road still call it pride park not the ipro stadium so I think it would be a wise move by fawaz to do so

Lets just hope they do not take the World Cup away from Quatar as Fawaz will lose out on the biggest air conditioning contract in the world which will restrict his long term investment plan
