The circus continues unabated. The focus is wrong. The club should be focusing on the handful of games remaining which will determine which league we play in next season. The performance against Ipswich suggested that Mr Brazil could be on the right track. If the next two matches result in similar performance levels and perhaps even translate into 6 points then we clearly have the right man in place to conclude the season. Whilst this is a big "if", should it turn out to be the case then it is disrespectful to say the least to continually bang on about a new manager coming in in the summer. What if Mr Brazil gets us to the promised land? Would everyone then want him to step back into an academy role and let Pearce take over?
There is an awful lot wrong at my beloved club at the moment and much of it is down to bad decision making and knee jerk reactions. Careful planning is required to run any successful business. Let the season end. Then sit down and produce a viable business plan. Do not rush in to yet another appointment. Have a plan A a plan B and a plan C. Let's get it right this time.

{Ed034's Note - brazil knows his job is to run it until somebody else comes in and then he will go back to his usual role.
how can you say its a circus?? we havnt got a manager and are close to agreeing one with a former legend. do you expect the press, forums, social media or the club not to talk about it???
you are just looking for things now. if we were not talking to a potential manager or talking to the press, you'd be moaning about not having anyone in mind and not telling us what is going on.

Knee jerk reactions? From what we've learnt fawaz had little choice but to sack billy. The focus is equally on the remaining games as it is getting in a new manager. I don't see how we could do things differently! The only circus is the one you've created in your own head. And the one billy ran. Unless this is billy?!

I think the poster has some fair points.
Ultimately we tried to get a hire for the last few crucial games and failed. Frankly that didn't look well organised and was highly public.
I really don't understand why we couldn't have put out a holding statement saying 'the club has a number of key targets in mind, many of whom may be available come the Summer and as such will be making an announcement at this time'.
Why is Pearce the answer?
The point therefore is why have we hired someone (not in management) now but who won't join until the Summer?
And I hear the differing views on Pearce as a manager, and many fans will be emotional about his return but worried about his ability to really get a team promoted over 46 games, assuming this season goes nowhere.
The simple fact is that Pearce was not in many peoples' top lists for a variety of reasons, hence other names were mentioned before him.
Just as important is a CEO Or Director who normally leads this hire. It is actually the structure (or lack of) which should worry us as much.
Fawaz does love the fans adulation. Maybe we all would. But he needs to make this appointment work, otherwise other people (not just me) will ask tricky questions. We all accept his financial support but this does need to work.

5th to 8th

You can understand the mistrust of fawaz by some, after all we have had years of being lied to, the club had a CEO before who was an absolute disaster, in all fairness fawaz who has made mistakes is trying to put right years of mismanagement, I would like to see a CEO and dof in but fans should show some patience the club was a shambles when the al hawasi family bought it it will take time to put right

5th to 8th's back it's going to turn into a post of doom ;) the op has no valid points really fawaz has been open and honest about all that's gone on. Probably too open but that's the way he wants to run the club and it's refreshing. And far from a circus of fawazs making.

We are focusing on the remaining games, but the team is unsettled and out of form that's down to injuries and Billy's games unsettling things behind the scenes. I don't understand how you can interpret us not focusing on the remaining games!

Fawaz knows how to run a business he's one of the richest business men in the world, I know running a football club is different, and takes prior knowledge, hence the reason he will look at appointing a CEO. He has taken steps to rebuild the clubs relationship with the fans and media something that was damaged courtesy of billy. And he's already appointed john McGovern as a spokesperson and liaison for the club.

Fawaz is doing everything right and the op is miles off with any criticism of fawaz and the way we are doing things
