Djebbour now tweeting he flies in tomorrow so explains why fawaz has not yet confirmed. Usually you'd think a done deal but we don't have a great record with medicals! This is a maverick, exciting leftfield signing but you have to have concerns about about attitude and acclimatisation. I felt we could carry Abdoun's temperament on his own but two potential time bombs in one team? Should be a fun few months. could be brilliant or dire but won't be dull!

Hopefully all is well and talks and terms have been completed and the medical is all that's left.
His tweets (obviously no official word) read that the guy has set his heart/mind on us and soon we will have a new striker.

2.) 25 Jan 2014
Checked his earlier tweets know some french anyway he only stated it would be tomorrow or as I should say later today so all should be hopefully good.

Olympiakos top goal scorer last season, why are they so keen to get rid? Loaning out and now selling him

4.) 25 Jan 2014
I will only believe it when its announced on the forest website and when fawaz tweets, at the game last night some fans were saying that its a hoax and someone as made up a twitter account in djebbours name

{Ed034's Note - so the Greek press, French press, British press, Turkish press and all the media have not thought about checking the story out, which has been now running for over two days?? Some fans just seem to want to turn everything into a conspiracy

What are you talking about?

Fearful nonsense all the way this morning is it? You must of had plenty last night

Seasoned Algerian front man with an eye for goal is all you need worry about so why not judge after you seen him play and by the way I have no concerns and think he'll bring the best out of Abdoun.

From reading all the snipits of info around the net it seems like a fee was obviously agreed and accepted, personal terms were discussed over the phone and agreed, hence Djebbours tweet to say he is joining us. Now his flight tweet is just for the medical (hopefully straight forward!) and then that's it fawaz tweet and photos. He's then ours. Set for a full week training ready to smash them in against Watford. Looking at his playing style I think he'll adapt quicker than abdoun as he seems to get roughed up a fair bit in the games I've seen. It doesn't seem to bother him and doesn't go down but usually manages to get the ball over the line. Not often pretty but we don't need pretty, we need end result. I reckon no middle ground with this fella, he'll smash it or flop.

How dare the persons who run our club take such unthinking and massive risks with the future of our club?

If any more international players with champions league experience start showing up I'm going to be so angry that I'll be down the gates screaming and shouting!

Olympiakos's skilful and prolific front pairing who have got goals at the highest level! I am soo soo angry right now. : (

8.) 25 Jan 2014
Thought he was supposed to be already in Nottingham Ed?

{Ed034's Note - that's what was being reported. It's easy enough to fly back and forth though

9.) 25 Jan 2014
Forest have a good history with strikers who have suspect temperaments, a Mr Stanley Collymore springs to mind, he didn't do too bad did he?

I can't remember us taking on a striker who has had so many training ground fights and bust ups though (several months of suspension) and who we already had one dodgy experience with in the summer when he came and went without getting to the medical room (probably feared the rigorous forest eye test!). Also can't ignore the fact he ended up shipped out on loan to Turkey despite his exceptional goal record and his most recent record there has been his worst to date. However at just over a million and with the Abdoun connection he represents a good gamble. I'm not negative about it, I like a maverick and know we need some shaking up! Dull nil nils in front of 26,000 on a wet Friday night needs some Algerian spice!

Djeb has confirmed he will have medical despite previous issues.

The deal was closed pending medical.
