Agree- real mess.
Probably hit a new low.
A club so amatury run- total disregard for FFP rules- players who have no idea and actually worse players than they were- managers coming and going in a bazaar way- owner who does what he wants without (what appears) thinking or taking on board any advice- CEO gone because he's not even been consulted - Pearce wasn't consumted ( if u remember the Newcastle fiasco) no wonder the players are confused!
At least we beat Dierby

Posh's chairman has had a rant on Twitter - he's not the most dignified chap on the planet is he to be honest.

I think it's a mountain out of a molehill - i'm guessing plenty of clubs are late with scheduled payments - just like in the real commercial world.

Twitter has the horrible knack of making things seem like the end of the world!!!

If as reported it is additional payments for Britt then who knows we could still be waiting for payment from Newcastle for Darlow and Lascelles?

The Peterborough Chair person (BTW Chairman is no longer PC apparently FFS LOL) should be banned from Twatter because if a footballer put this up he would be and fined as well.

Villa fans were glad to see the back of Faulkner so who knows what has happened but surely he should have been involved in players payments as well?

"BTW Chairman is no longer PC apparently FFS LOL"

Er, what? 'Chairman' is used all the time, everywhere. Nothing to do with PC at all.

Anyway, Peterborough chairman needs to pipe down. It's not great that we've missed a payment, but this must happen all the time in football, and most people are professional enough not to spout off on Twitter.

Why are people so happy to excuse this? This 'molehill' is £1.5M which a club halfway down the third tier had been led to believe was guaranteed by a club owned by a billionaire. Even if there are cashflow issues, that's no excuse for welching on your commitments and visiting your problems on someone else who has presumably factored timely payment into their financial planning. Also, the probability that other clubs might do the same thing is hardly justification when you're talking about something that isn't right. Late payment is always a sign of one of two things: either it's dishonourable practice or it signals an inability to pay, neither of which are good news for Forest. It's exactly that lack of accounting diligence that landed us with the FFP sanctions in the first place.
