Heard we are interested in conner whickham. Interesting. I rate him.

Annesley red

1.) 05 Dec 2019 21:08:25
When was the last time you seen him play?
Another sick note that hasn't done nothing since his scoring days at Ipswich.
Gamble not worth taking even for free.

26 Nov 2019 17:26:23
Apparently Arsenal want worrell.

Annesley red

1.) 26 Nov 2019 18:22:21
How much game time would he get at the A holes, if we are still in contention at Xmas i think he would stay. A team he knows and guaranteed to play most games when fit. He loves the club as well.

2.) 26 Nov 2019 19:06:50
Very similar to Dawson a few years back, he didn’t do too bad out of it. Let’s hope he doesn’t ask him for advice 🤷🏻‍♂️.

3.) 26 Nov 2019 19:36:08
Funny how players attitudes change over the years, when young they want shortish contracts mostly then as they get older they want as long a contracts as possible. When they are young they do loads of running, as they get older they lean to be in the right place at the right time. There are some exceptions though, the only thing that stays the same is they like all of us want as much money as possible whatever their age.

4.) 26 Nov 2019 23:14:55
Ask any young aspiring confident footballer who he would rather play for. An improving championship team or a proven established european playing premierleague team. I don't think he would think too long about it.

5.) 27 Nov 2019 09:46:13
Think on:
1. Dawson was sold when we were skint and would have stayed for another promotion push before stepping up.

2. We do not need to sell Worrall who is red through and though and will bide his time.

3. Arsenal are in disarray and Dick Emery will be gone by Xmas.

4. Arsenal's new manager needs oven ready Premiership defenders to solve their short term problem and arrest the falling attendances and owners cash cow.

5. More chance of Ozil joining us than Worrall going! 🤣.

6.) 27 Nov 2019 10:53:20
A nice £20m fee with a decent sell-on clause, plus a loan back to Forest until the end of NEXT season.

That would make me think twice.

7.) 27 Nov 2019 12:13:24
That would be good in one way, but bad in another SSWE, that is good money for a Championship defender, and you include a sell on fee but if we were to get him loaned back untill the end of next season, we got to the Premier league at the end of this season, and he had a cracking season in the Premier league the £20m, sell on fee and loan back would look cheap.

8.) 27 Nov 2019 12:27:56
Red just a quick question - how do you know the financial issues of the club regarding ffp etc.
I doubt there’s any legs in this rumour at all and don’t want Worral to go but if an offer came in for a decent amount I’m sure the club and player would both take it.

9.) 27 Nov 2019 13:26:19
If that happens then we can sum up his entire footballing future in 5 words: Reserve team. Second-rate career.

10.) 28 Nov 2019 10:33:47
The summer is the time to take stock. Worrall needs a full season to show he is the real deal and has become consistent?

11.) 28 Nov 2019 18:32:41
The summer is the time that I sit out on me decking with me glass of wine!

15 Nov 2019 10:11:46
I KNEW this would happen. Premier league club in for matty cash. If you believe this newspapers Everton want him for 12 million. However i also read that Peterborough want 13 MILLION for ivan Tony. Has the posh chairman been sniffing the bostick? I thought ivan Tony would be a possible signing for us in the transfer window as we need another striker but 13 million. NO!

Annesley red

1.) 15 Nov 2019 10:38:22
It's because we were daft enough to pay that much for Carvalho, Annesley.

2.) 15 Nov 2019 12:58:06
If your team does well there are usually bigger teams taking a look at your better players. It is as much about who comes in as it is about who leaves.

3.) 15 Nov 2019 14:45:39
I much preferred it when we were towards the bottom of the league and everyone was playing badly - nobody came in then to unsettle us and show interest in our players 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣.

4.) 15 Nov 2019 18:32:44
Me too 2tone. None of this worrying about promotion lark.

5.) 15 Nov 2019 22:54:41
Yep. This success thing is not all it's cracked up to be.

6.) 16 Nov 2019 09:50:31
S_Getty indeed, how many clubs can afford to spend around £100m doing up their stadium 🏟 and bring in at least nine players in every transfer window.

30 Oct 2019 20:07:01
I was talking to a chap at work today abd he asked the club to say he injured himself whilst training. The club refused. Probably had something to do with the decision to sack him. He deserves it. He's an hole. Remember him kicking off at the grounds man last time we played derby ?

Annesley red

1.) 31 Oct 2019 21:46:19
No he deserves all his contract paying in full that"ll stop mel signing players 😁😁😁.

2.) 01 Nov 2019 09:22:30
Doesn’t matter what’s he’s done or not done the fact is he’s got sacked when 2 other muppets should of had the same treatment.

3.) 01 Nov 2019 13:52:07
Sacked the muppet who is injured and at the wrong end of his playing days where the other 2 muppet are young and worth a few quid. Convenient excuse to get rid.

4.) 01 Nov 2019 20:31:15
That's why keogh would probably win a court case, double standards

07 Aug 2019 20:24:42
Looks like bostock is going to sign. Would like to see us get McKenna. He looks quality. However we need another striker.

Annesley red

1.) 07 Aug 2019 22:31:13
Has the dof finally found a player to "stick and glue our midfield together? " Or will he twist? 😁😁😁.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 23:44:10
Get blackstock back in that'd be great for commentators lol.

Why would you not start with the best striker in the league ? On a posative note i hope SL has finally realised that mir should not play for us. No need to hit the panic button because at the start of the season you would take the position that we're in now. Playoffs and albeit a half chance of the automatic spots. SL has done well thus far and who's to say we won't improve once we have added to the squad in January. Last night's result was disappointing considering we co conceded in injury time but it's an away point. Keep the faith forest fans. COYR.

Annesley red

1.) 07 Dec 2019 12:09:27
As we all know the best striker in the league is our only one
Was willing to give Mir a chance but have to say he his useless
I’m not a Fan but Tyler Walker would be far better that shows just how poor Mir is
Let’s bring Tyler back and get another striker then I think we would be covered in that position.

02 Dec 2019 16:11:59
15 million for a 30 yr old striker dwight Gayle ? No way. Loan just to get us challenging for promotion. There's a reason why Newcastle aren't playing him. He's not good enough at that level that's why he's not getting game time at the moment.

Annesley red

1.) 02 Dec 2019 16:33:50
Them geordies sure like a laugh don't they at best 6 million for me.

2.) 02 Dec 2019 16:38:10
Toon are just chancing their arm, knowing that a) they desperately need to recoup some of the £80m they spunked on inept forwards in the summer and b) several Championship sides will be desperate for a player like Gayle to give them a promotion push in the second half of the season.

He's never been worth £15m.

3.) 02 Dec 2019 16:52:05
How old was Grabban when he joined us and we paid £6m. Many of us were quick to write off Watson under AK, Sabri came in and Watson transformed into a totally different player. Who is to say Gayle can not do well in the Premier league under the right manager / head coach.

4.) 02 Dec 2019 17:03:05
We won't spend that sort of money, I hope we have learned from inflated transfer fee's, don't forget we're still paying for that mistake which for the next 3 and half years will cost us around £75,000 per week plus wages for Carvalho, I think we are a lot more astute in our transfer dealings now, with Sow Samba Silva Riberio Amiobi all of which have been good signings, I trust the powers that be to do the right thing.

5.) 02 Dec 2019 21:03:51
Skebyred we recouped 8 million at the end of the window for appiah the biggest waste is pantillimon and his wages for doing nothing along with clough and Jacob.
Carvalho isn't a waste he's still young and would still command a fee.

6.) 02 Dec 2019 21:29:39
It’s strange people on here fawn over carvallho at 13.2mill who to put it mildly is hit and miss, yet mention 15 mill for a bloke who guarantees goals at this level and might just get you out the league and they do their nut, I personally can’t stand Gayle he’s a serial cheat but just found the comparison interesting,

7.) 02 Dec 2019 23:39:31
Bruce needs to sell Gayle to upgrade his squad in Jan so forget a loan. As there will be 4/ 5 suitors from our league you cannot argue with the asking price?
Whether Forest want to pay it is another matter!
We have a good recruitment team so I'm backing them to find a gem that gives us a sell on value or pinch the Arsenal lad on loan at Leeds?

8.) 03 Dec 2019 10:45:28
The Arsenal lad on loan at Leeds, is that who you once said his type of player does not get you promoted Red

29 Nov 2019 11:04:07
Question. If we got 20 million for worrall moved chemea into his position and we could buy Jarrod Bowen would you take it? Don't get me wrong i want to keep our best players but Bowen is an unbelievable talent. I'd be tempted.

Annesley red

1.) 29 Nov 2019 12:35:52
It would certainly be tempting if possible. Although likely that Hull would want a small fortune for him, certainly £10m+

Forest do need another wide player as well as a forward in January, in my opinion.

2.) 29 Nov 2019 18:00:23
Just get Grosicki and keep Worrall.

3.) 29 Nov 2019 19:32:25
If we got 20 mill for Worrall, Hull would want that for Bowen, goalscorers go for inflated prices as we all know.

4.) 29 Nov 2019 22:02:53
Blimey you lot should apply to forest to do the accounts and pick the players 😀😀😀.

16 Nov 2019 18:22:27
I've been looking at promotion odds. Brentford 11/4. Forest 6-1. What a joke. Even the bookies hate us!

Annesley red

1.) 16 Nov 2019 19:00:09
They can hate us as much as they like if we get promoted.

2.) 16 Nov 2019 22:01:52
Annesley the bookies have no bias they just love money, if you think they’ve got their odds wrong make them pay mate,

3.) 17 Nov 2019 00:02:52
I know where I'd put my four quid on and it wouldn't be brentford got no chance but will take points from teams.
We are going up whatever the bookies and some fans on here think. 🥂🥂🥂.

4.) 17 Nov 2019 14:09:51
That's right stevie worth a tenner then you got your free beer money when we get promoted. I say stay under the radar and plod along nicely then before you know it we got the championship in the bag 👍👍👍.

13 Nov 2019 12:01:27
Give sammy amiobi a new improved contract. He's been so much better than i expected.

Annesley red

1.) 13 Nov 2019 12:19:14
Sometimes he looks like a 6ft Messi, other times he's just plain messy.

Certainly a decent squad player at Championship level though. I'd give him another year or two.

2.) 13 Nov 2019 14:40:11
If he’s a good champ player why would you give him another year or two?
We will need prem quality players next season.

3.) 13 Nov 2019 15:30:02
Bbm by giving him a year or two's contract we should get extra money for him should we get to the Premier league, if we stay in the Championship then we have a strong Championship player.

4.) 13 Nov 2019 16:06:08
I'm not banking on promotion this year and I think it would be foolhardy to do so. I prefer the slowly-slowly-catchy-monkey-method, build a team bit by bit, have faith in the players that got you there and add a few sparkles of quality along the way, year-on-year.

As opposed to spunking a shed load of cash as soon as you go up and dumping the lads that got you there. You never know, if we do go up we might come down again and I'd rather have the lads that had a strong campaign in the second tier than a bunch of mercenaries that only joined for Premier League football.

Not a fan of Burnley per se, but the way they have done it and established themselves thus far is impressive and the way I'd like to see it done with Forest.

5.) 13 Nov 2019 16:07:15
Lol 🙄.

6.) 13 Nov 2019 17:35:37
SSWE i think over half of fans think along the same lines as yourself but the club under our present owner does not work that way, and off course should we get to the Premier league then relegated the odds are Premier league teams would most likely but our better players.

7.) 13 Nov 2019 18:07:31
Strong sentiment indeed Wonky. I know where you're coming from! Sadly this approach is outdated.

8.) 14 Nov 2019 09:30:46
I don't think it's completely outdated. Burnley, Bournemouth, Brighton and Sheffield United have all gone up and done ok without spending a ton of cash and most still have players in their side that were there during their time in the Championship. It's definitely do-able.

I'm hoping Marinakis has a similar plan but wouldn't be at all surprised to see him be a bit more ambitious and get the chequebook out.

9.) 14 Nov 2019 09:49:52
SSWE how many of our current squad do rate to do alright should we get to the Premier league?

10.) 14 Nov 2019 11:22:26
Wtw - about the same number as sheff united maybe?

11.) 14 Nov 2019 11:41:47
It's hard to say WTW, but there are certainly players in the squad that can improve, or can continue to improve, particularly some of the younger lads - Samba, Cash, Worrall, Ribeiro, Yates, Semedo etc.

The difference between the top 10 in the Championship and the bottom 10 in the Premier League is not that massive. And don't forget team work and team ethic goes a long way! It's not all about superstars and stellar signings - Just look at Sheffield United this season. It's still early in the campaign but they're 5th and haven't splashed out on one single proven top flight player (unless you include the 37yo Jagielka, who's yet to actually start a league game for them) .

There's always more than one way to go about your business, but personally, I'd like to see Forest do it the 'old-fashioned' way. A good, honest, hard-working group, the right ethos and a good Manager can be enough to keep you in the Premier League, then let's build from that core.

12.) 14 Nov 2019 15:41:58
Still blowing your own trumpet Steve ?

13.) 14 Nov 2019 16:37:50
Just giving an articulate opinion, Carlo. It's what most of us are here for. Feel free to add something of value whenever you like, mate 👍.

14.) 14 Nov 2019 17:31:35
I thought you,d know all about Stutty ,he is is an excellent trumpet player ,nothing derogatory mean,t !

15.) 15 Nov 2019 00:00:44
Eye eye I can see something is being blown out if proportion 🤣🤣🤣.

16.) 15 Nov 2019 08:31:01
Sorry, Carlo, never of this Stutty chap. More a Miles Davis man myself!

17.) 15 Nov 2019 19:01:12
Steve Suttons hobby is playing the Trumpet .

18.) 15 Nov 2019 19:34:07
