Have you seen the Haaland deal.
Nine and a half year contract, paying him £500, 000 a week. Stupid money for one player, what revenue for the whole team. Some more great deals as well somewhere.

He'll soon want to leave if they get a points deduction and end up relegated.

I thought the football authorities had banned that length of deal after Chelsea’s dealings?
{Ed001's Note - no, just banned amortising the cost of the transfer fee over the length of them.}

Ed1, if those wages are correct that’s an ongoing investment of between £200 m and £250m on ONE player. That tells me that Man City are very very confident of winning their FFP hearing. Of course, they could cash in and sell him if the wheel does come off but in those circumstances it would be a fire sale. In any event very few if any clubs could afford him or his wages ( and why would he take a cut? ).
Whats your interpretation Ed?
{Ed001's Note - have you not noticed his contract is 115 months long? City are laughing at us all mate. I just think they don't give a toss because the owners can afford it.}

That’s a sensational thought Ed ( though you’d probably think of a different word to describe it! ). So, if City were to be found guilty and docked enough points to be relegated ( this is pure speculation by the way) would they keep the all stars squad together, take the financial hit then stroll back to the Prem and hope to avoid future sanctions by doing a Leicester ( ie hiding in the jurisdiction gap between the Prem and the EFL? And so the whole process starts again. Fascinating really…….
Am I right in thinking that transferring the debt by issuing shares ( like Mr M. but on a massive scale) only applies to infrastructure and not players wages and transfers?
{Ed001's Note - I really think they would just take the financial hit, if the players will stay and then do what Leicester has done. The Prem and EFL need to get their act together and close that loophole for cheats to use.
You can't run up debt from investors (ie owners) to use for transfer and salaries no, not for PRS purposes anyway.}

Thanks Ed thought so. It’s going to get very interesting…….
{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't be surprised if they get away with it, even though we all know they are guilty and almost everything in there has already been proven once by UEFA and CAS to be true.}

Man C just flaunting the rules by amortising the cost of a player over a ridiculous period. There should be no points deduction or proceedings taken against any club until the outstanding cases have been brought to a conclusion.
{Ed001's Note - they have not done that.}
