If we can't beat Blackpool on April 2nd it may well be because we cannot field three strong centre backs with Cook and McKenna still out.
I thought Figuerido had a poor game V Liverpool: he never made the kind of forward pass that Cook and McKenna can, and looked a bit lacking in confidence when the ball came to him from those around him.
Gabriel might well test Colback to the limit.
I'm obviously pleased that the lads did so well against Liverpool, but think we will need a good dollop of luck to progress up the table.

Figs had a decent game. The worst passing out from the back was from the GK (played well apart from that) . No doubt about that.

The fact that our 4th choice CB coped with world-class attacking players says an awful lot of positive things about the squad in my opinion.

I think its a bit unfair judging him against Liverpool I think mckenna and cook would of been less attacking facing Liverpool as well judge him in a back 3 against a championship side for comparison, I thought he did well being drafted in from the wilderness against one of the best attacking sides in the world.

Not sure we watched the same game BS, I thought figs did well. In fact he reassured me he's up for the run in, he'll be needed. He won't be pressed by that calibre of player in the championship.
