Boris ruins Christmas yet again carlo
I've got to pay for two pcr tests and take extra time off work to enjoy my Xmas holiday now.
The man is a buffoon and the tories will become un electable.
Two years running he panics while trying to save his skin by getting others to resign.
Christmas party?
There was no party?
Joke of a leader.

Ff you’d have thought anything but Boris would be an improvement but look at what or who could replace him? Absolutely no viable options. Bit of a case of bad or very bad? 🤷🏻‍♂️.

08 Dec 2021 22:21:29
Don't go then Carlo.
If everyone stays away and doesn't comply with this madness they'll have no choice other than to drop it.
It really is that simple.

went to my chemist in colwick today, the wifes not been to good, got two pcr test kits for nothing. 7 tests in each kit, both of us came back negative. boris and co have known about the new thing for a long time, the chemist has had boxs and boxs of these kits for weeks. people aren't going to stand for this for much longer, and how am i going to drink my pint in the boat club with a mask on.

2 tone I vote tory and I'm being honest, but I can't vote again for a party led by a buffoon that can't even get a proper hair cut.
He just goes from one crisis to another.
This variant has affected 500 people in a country of 60 million plus and not one hospitalisation.
It's panic mode with no justification and yet he can't accept that they had a party last Christmas against all the rules?
The man is not fit to govern and I for one will take no notice of him anymore, I've had all my jabs done as I was told, but enough is enough, and you can't keep locking things down everytime a new veriant comes along, especially when it shows no hospitalisation.
It's here we have to live with it.

Red Fred i would go one better, just all turn up late and if they mess about? demonstrate.
It's supposed to be a free country, so tell the government so.
The way it's going it's becoming a dictatorship.
I'm an advocate of getting your jabs, but know one has the right in a decomaracy to force it on you and no one has the right to tell you where you can go and who you are allowed to meet.
We as a nation have been really good in accepting new rules for a c.v. initially, but that cannot carry on forever.
The one thing you look for in a leader is one that doesn't panic.
Well we have the panic merchant in charge with the not so whitty witty, who thinks everyone works in an office and can work from home.
A-hole.

Yessimple but if you go abroad you can't use a nhs test when you come back why?
Are they useless?
Or is it a money making machine?
What's the point the NHS having test kits that the government don't acknowledge?

Well on the flip side ff79, people did say he couldn't arrange a pi##up in a brewery so don't give up mate. he's getting there.

Telegraph slating Johnson tomorrow, bye, bye, Johnson.

11.) 09 Dec 2021
09 Dec 2021 09:32:10
I agree, Johnson is an idiot. The comments about 500 people being infected out of 60million are nonsense, though. We haven't tested and sequenced every person in the UK. People were saying similar in the first wave, and now 150,000 people are dead because we didn't act quickly.

12.) 09 Dec 2021
09 Dec 2021 09:49:50
Simple 65, just like a hole in your mask and push a draw through. Or you could stand on head and pour it down your nose. Or even better I will drink it for you .

If your such a snowflake Cyclist then lock yourself in your home and let others make their own choices.
For someone as clever as you think you are to believe that figure of deaths within 28 days of a positive test is absurd.
You posted on here some time ago urging everyone to get the jab so we could get back to normal. We'll they have and where did that get us?
Remember this time last year it was "15 million jabs to freedom"? This will never end. Surely even you can see that?

14.) 09 Dec 2021
09 Dec 2021 15:55:15
I'm no snowflake and I don't appreciate you insulting me.

The c.v. death figures are a massive underestimate because many ventilated people who die after getting c.v. take LONGER than 28 days to die.

I don't think we should go back to lockdown, by the way. But mass events are a different ball game. I just don't think a quick lateral flow test before a game is that big an ask.

The arguments about working from home and stuff are definitely debatable, and I hear both sides.

My point above was just that people did say similar things at the beginning of c.v. about low numbers and a lot of people died. I'm not wrong about that, in spite of you playing the man, not the ball.

15.) 09 Dec 2021
09 Dec 2021 17:00:04
Apologies for the snowflake comment, it was underhand and uncalled for.
I strongly disagree about the figures being underestimated though. The massive number that were already hospitalised, tested positive once in hospital and subsequently put down as a cv death no matter what they died from suggests they are overestimated.
I personally know at least a dozen people that were dying from other issues and were logged as cv deaths which didn't go down too well with their families I can assure you.
Whether or not lives could have been saved in the beginning with faster action is up for debate as its difficult to prove.
Why aren't the government advocating healthy living, boosting immune systems with vitamin D and Zinc? It's just "let's jab our way out of it". Why is there no scientific debate instead of just one narrative supplied by the same set of people? Genuinly glad to hear your not in favour of lockdowns Cyclist as we can't keep doing it.
Personally I won't be attending any event or place that asks me for my medical status, even if it means never watching Forest live again. I strongly oppose it and I think a lot of people cannot see the precedent it will set and what it could end up being in the future.
Once again sorry if I offended you.
See you on the other side.

Good points from both of you red cyclist and fred. And i always love to see an apology when someone thinks they done wrong. Heads up lads and great banter 👌.

This variant of the virus is supposed to be the weakest, this should be the light at the end of the tunnel. This is the time when we say "enough is enough". Otherwise we could end up like New Zealand and ban fags, since COVID they do like to oppress the populas.

18.) 09 Dec 2021
09 Dec 2021 18:27:44
Fred, we’ll done for that apology, we have to accept sentiments run high and opinions differ and it’s impossible for everyone’s needs to be met in these situations . You guys posts always make great reading and hopefully Fred’s gracious apology will be accepted .

Always a voice of reason 2 star.
Fred and cyclist understand both points of view.
My long term fear is we are supposed to live in a free democracy, but now we seem to be living in anything but?
Europe has erupted in violence over the same sort of restrictions, I don't want to see violence on our streets, but if they take restrictions any further I can see that happening.
It's difficult times for all of us and the only way back to any sort of normality is to accept the c.v. is here to stay, we are accustomed to our freedom and making our own decisions, not listening to dictatorship, which to me we are getting close to under Boris.
Certain scientists would have us locked down forever until it disappears, they sadly don't understand the human nature that they are trying to protect.

11 Dec 2021 13:32:14
Apology accepted. Fred, I know it's complicated, and I agree the government should be doing different stuff, not just taking away people's rights.

My sister is waiting for an operation and can't get one. It hurts inside. I'm not making it up, and neither are the nurses and doctors who say that 12 of the 14 in ICU at QMC with CV haven't had a jab. Until those beds are empty, my sister could die waiting for an operation.

For the record FF79, I don't agree with passports etc. But taking a test before meeting up with 25,000 people is definitely not that big an ask if you think about it. You just have to stick a cotton bud up your nose and then squirt a few drops of liquid on a bit of plastic, then take a photo. If 20,000 of us do that and save only one life, then it's worth it.

Hopefully this new version of the unmentionable will not kill many people and all will be good. But just in case, look out for each other. You could be standing next to my sister at the game .

Much appreciated Cyclist.
I hope your sister gets her operation soon and all turns out well.
