The EP says we are nearly signing a player from Paraguay . Has anyone in these c.v. times gone to see this player? Is this a Youtube transfer? Does the player know how cold and wet it can get here? My guess is he doesn't speak English . If we can get 3 players from Portugal that were supposed to be the bees knees where it was 10x easier for someone to see what sort of players they really were - and they didn't! A player from Paraguay surely this is an April 1st at the end of August! I know we are scrapping the very bottom of the barrel . A player from Paraguay?

Doc, he’s a defensive midfielder. Of course he’s on his way, Hughton’s wetting himself at the prospect of another defender. I’m sure he would play 5 DM’s if he thought he could get away with it.

So he is a central midfielder and young enough for the new model of squad we are getting.
Not worried its Paraguay, would there be concern if he was from any other South American country. There are also loads of African players that have made the grade so nationality not an issue. Weather afecting him more than the Brazilians and Argentinians over here already, I doubt it.
I agree re the amount of scouting that's possibly been done on him though, that is a bit concerning.
I just hope that with the amount of times we have had our fingers burned with foreign signings that with the law of probability we should strike gold soon.
