Another 30 yr old has been.
Forest need hungry young players not those looking for an easy pay check.

I have no problem signing older players if they are able to offer something to the team.
Clucas would be a decent bit of business. He capable of playing a few different positions so would be a good option on the bench.
The notion of 30y/ o being past it is ridiculous. There are so many players well into their 30’s who are performing well.
Look at Milner at Liverpool, he’s still a very good player and he’s like 35? (Used as an example because of his verstalitily, like Clucas)

It’s the mindset that has to be right. If you don’t have the mindset to want to perform and achieve something as part of a team then no thank you. Age doesn’t matter if you’re still up for a challenge.

I don’t know whether Clucas is just wanting a pay day or if he’s genuinely up for a challenge and wants to give 100%, if it’s the latter in all for signing him. He’s a decent player.

He has done his knee in, and had surgery it will take him a season in different stages to start to become effective, and that is it does not recur if he does not listen to his body.

We do not need to be carrying anyone.

Best avoided at all costs.
If he was good he would of got an extension on his contact at Stoke. so Nooooooo!

So you do not know why you are not impressed Smithy69, just you do not rate him.

That is very specific.

I haven’t got an issue with signing 30 yr olds, it’s 30 yr olds with history of injuries. But realistically if you're a 30 yr old decent player with no injury issues we wouldn’t be able to afford them - the only way is to buy sensibly from lower leagues and have a little bit patience, us fans haven’t got that so we are stuck with this crap merry go round. It’s not just the clubs decisions or our scouting network us fans must take some responsibility and encourage rather than dismiss as soon as a mistake is made.

If the owner listened to most fans 2tone the manager would have been sacked ages ago and the brand of football would be better even if the results were not.

It’s a good job he doesn’t listen to all of us fans-he’d soon lose all interest and who could blame him. Whatever his reasons are for buying into forest I doubt any of them were to ask our opinions 🤷🏻‍♂️.

So why are you blaming fans to some extent 2tone, that makes GF right.

Because fans (not all but a lot) don’t give any players a chance, they say get them from the lower leagues but won’t give them a chance to step up. You are very lucky if a player can instantly impact in a higher league, they need to settle and grow into a club like forest but they have no chance - one mistake or a poor game and they’re chopped.

Football fans everywhere will let a player know how they feel when a mistake is made no matter the age of the player, the players also get cheers when they are playing well.

Players have to be strong enough to cope with fans thoughts or they will never be top players.

They need to know if a mistake is bad enough then it is not liked, if they think mistakes are ok on a regular basis then they will not get better.

If the manager and his coaching staff do their jobs as they should they will get the team more organised, motivated, and improve the players so their concentration is better, and their mistakes happen less often and get better as a team.
