I've just realised how depleted our sqaud is of any real quality, assuming Worrall leaves this summer. We have no RB? We only have Blackett at LB. We only have Mckenna and Soh at CB. We have one real winger is Lolley and he's done. We have one real striker in Grabban and he's done. And then you're left with the likes of Cafu, Yates and Colback. Unless they bring in 7 or 8 QUALITY players (not has beens or unproven) and with the worst manager we've had since Megson, we're in big trouble next season.

Unless loads of money is spent, and a lot of luck is gained bringing in 7 or 8 quality players is not is not going to happen.

The situation the club is in unproven, but not has beens is the way to go with 1 or 2 proven players if possible but that will put a strain on keeping within the fair play rules.

Things need to be done properly not going gung-ho by going for quick fixes, if the so called fair play rules were no longer in place and the owner was willing to splash the cash that would be different, provided if it did not work the club were not left with the cost.

Gazza Red, I've been thinking this for a while. Great post. Legitimately it takes a strong first team and then back up substitutes to challenge for playoffs. I don't even know who are first eleven are anymore. The only thing in our favour is a transfer window but its pretty shocking when we have 30 plus players in our books.

DM: Fornah, Yates, Colback?, Cafu?!?!?!?! (erm)
Wings: Mighten, Lolley, Johnson, new signing
Striker: Grabban, New PROVEN signing, New younger player, backup Johnson/ Mighten

So we could get away with 5 quality signings if Worall stays, possibly not even replace him.

We all agree too many signings at once doesn't work I seem to remember. Also the less you sign the more wages you can afford and attract better players. Signing 8 avarage players and we are back to square one.

If we need backup layers then look at the youth.

Forgot to put Carvalho johnson, Mighten for no10.

With any luck if we sign 2 strikers one will be a good number 10 as well.

As it stands that's our starting 11. That team will not keep us in this league. That's if CH is even planning on giving Gabriel and Johnson a chance. I hate the idea of bringing in another load of players and hoping they will gel, but I don't see any other option if we're going to be able to field a team capable of competing.
