Won 12 Drawn 13 Lost 13 anyone on this Banter site couldn't do much worse. I accept Chris Hughton was a top rate manager 10/ 15 years ago but he has proved nothing here so far and has got a lot to prove to have any credibility or to justify what he is being paid. When will it start happening - no signs yet in the performances or brand of football?

I'm not defending Hughton's record this season but please stop being insulting to him. And far from 10/ 15 years ago it was 2017 when he got Brighton promoted. His career has given him lots of credibility far more than some people employed in this league. I'm not sure he's right for our fan base but given some of the crap performances by our so called attacking players he's getting the main job done for this season which is survival. He's been let down by some key players who have consistently under performed. Need a clear out and then see how it goes. Believe it or not Clough was not universally accepted by fans after a disappointing first 18 months. Don't write people off too soon.

Syred the only reason the main job is staying up is because he led the team for that to be the case. Lamouchi although made mistakes, dreadful mistakes that made it look like he had lost the players but he left a team that inspite of 14 new players the squad still had most of the players that finished 7th, so Hughton should have done better with what he had, and which he got to add to.

Brian Clough and Peter Taylor i'm certain would have achieved much better with most of a team that finished 7th the previous season.

Money tree. I know some may laugh at me on here for saying this. But we lost one of our key players. Ben Watson. For me why they just didn't offer him a little bit more for one more season baffles me. As pointed out earlier in the season they don't play for each other as a team. But strangers. When you have a team not talking to each other, helping each other on. You've got no chance mate. now if that's to do with hughton and his favourites. Well make up your own mind.

Bowiered Cash was off course sold to pay for the 14 new players and he has been missed. Watson is different, he did have a very good season and seem to pass on his experience to the players around him but he wanted to be closer to home, there must have been a player out there good enough to replace him that would have come to us.

Money tree i agree mate. but from 14 players what was the chances of them just about being all as bad as they are . but as ff79 pointed out are they? Or is it the coaching/ management.

Bowiered the management and coaching have to be held culpable to an extent but of the 14 players the proven talent among them were as been said either players that had not played much for the teams they came from as their team had better players in their managers eyes or because they had been injured.
