Big Wes, Patrick Bamford, Karl Darlow, jamal Lascelles.
Michael Antonio
Apart from wanting them back, what do they all have in common?
They were all sold to fund the day to day running of the football club.
We need a bigger, more loyal fan base, if we are ever going back to the Premier League with any confidence of success.
Less than four thousand fans for our only home pre season friendly was pathetic. Stop moaning, stop making excuses, get down to the City Ground and start supporting the club we love.

I was there Saturday. Unfortunately football is pricing itself out supporters of clubs. 4K for a friendly is poor but the prices they charge for a friendly is poor. Perhaps rather than ranting at fellow supporters rant at the club to drop ticket prices.

I think it's pathetic not to understand how expensive football is. I agree with everything you say but it's cheaper to watch Leicester than forest! Ticket sales account for a small percentage of a clubs revenue bht have to scrape every penny when you gave no money as a business. I'm a season ticket holder but I sympathise greatly with people who can't make it when it's not even a good standard of football. 4,000 for a friendly is not bad. I agree with everything you say on this forum just about wisheye but I think to say people are pathetic for not wanting to pay £500 to watch mid table championship football is quite insulting to some people. I agree more fans are needed but until forest start treating their fans like fans and not customers, just like the rest of football, the low gates won't change that much, especially not when you can't get people in the ground which will only see the prices for individual match tickets more expensive as they have to account for lost revenue 🌳 COYR 🔴.

Bamford was sold because he would not sign a new contract, I think he got about 5 mins playing time under Davies. Antonio wanted to leave else he wouldn't have been sold.

I agree totally that the pricing at Forest is to expensive. No argument from me on that one. In every business if you are not selling all your goods, you should reduce your prices until you do.
On the season ticket side of things, yes they are still expensive compared with Derby and Leicester, but my ticket actually cost me less this year than last.
What I do find hard to take though is our constant hysteria to spend more and more millions when less than four thousand of us can be arsed to spend £15.
In season, 26,000 (Still not a full ground) turn up when we are winning 16,000 when we are not.
I would love the club to be forward thinking enough to go down the Bayern Munich model for ticket pricing, where fans pay less than £150 for a season ticket and they make money on food and merchandise.
All I want is for Forest to be great again. All I hear are a lot of moaning and only 3.5 thousand singing as we kick off a new season.
We have some very loyal fans and I would shake every last one of them by the hand and say thank you. We also have a fickle few who moan a lot and contribute little.
I apologise if my remark offended the really loyal fans, I make no such apology to the fickle few.

Maybe for match tickets do as they did a couple of seasons ago i. e. when tickets go on sale initially there affordable and closer to the fixture they go up a couple of quid every 5/ 6 days. I still think that £26 for a ticket is too much especially when there is a £1 booking fee! As said above sell em cheaper and you'll fill the ground bringing in more income overall. maybe charge a little more for 'shiney' games i. e. v Newcastle.

As a n ex squaddie when living in Germany i used to frequent Borussia Dortmund and Armenia Bielefeld and i don't think i ever paid more than 14 Euro's (£10) for a ticket. absolutely packed and you could drink on the terraces :-)

It would go a long way to have allowed season ticket holders in for free on sat
Then have charged £10 for adults and kids for a quid.
More revenue on fefreshments and to encourage people to come back to watch
It used to be. this model in days gone bye.

Well put wisheye I was only raising that some people who have been loyal all their life can no longer afford it. Agree though, don't turn your back just because of team form or factors such as dougie last season, which nearly half our fan base abandoned us but didn't cross my mind to stop going for that reason.

All this suggested pricing in fine in theory. However, we do not have the quality of facilities inside the ground to maximise food and beverage sales. Furthermore there is too much sales leakage outside the ground as Forest have never had a plan to buy up land to be able to expand the ground and capture off site sales.

Forest don't even own their "own land" it's council owned I believe and I don't see how much food and beverage sales will make as ticket/ hospitality proceedings account for very little in a clubs total annual revenue. Sponsorships, tv deals and external investment account for a lot more amongst other things now a days. I'm still using the lovely ladies burger van on pavilion road on match days! 🌳😎🍺🍔.
