That we won’t sign players like that even though he’d be great for us. the club will sign overseas players and some will work out some won’t .

Good player at championship level. I'd like to see him in a Forest shirt playing at the City Ground. I think he would be a good signing for us.

NO WAY.

4.) 28 Mar 2020

He has childish and outdated political views that he can't keep to himself. Decent player but a massive div.

5.) 28 Mar 2020

I'd rather have Colback on sensible wages.

6.) 28 Mar 2020

I’d prefer a fit sow to colback .

He may have 'childish and outdated political views' but very relevant and justified ones. I wouldn't have a poppy on my shirt either I was a footballer.

Psycho clough ‘relevant and justified’ in your opinion, opinions you are free to air, a freedom won by the blood of the people you snub by not wearing a poppy, if McLean dislikes the British so much why come and live amongst us,? By the way I would imagine psycho would be horrified at his name being tagged on the front of an opinion like that, a true patriot who loves his country, a poppy is a symbol of rememberance for millions killed in war, not a glorification of it,

9.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 10:59:11
Out of curiosity why wouldn't you wear a poppy?
Do you think we should have just let Hitler get on with things?

{Ed001's Note - poppies have nothing to do with Hitler mate. That's something you should not be doing is relating the two in an attempt to dig at someone who chooses not to wear one.}

10.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 11:13:21
It's there to respect the fallen who had no choice in going to war in all conflicts edd.
It's not there for politics.
Wasnt a dig that's the trouble with social media and short texts.
It was just a question.

{Ed001's Note - yes but you can respect the fallen without needing to wear a poppy that has been hijacked into a political statement. That question is one that is thrown at anyone who chooses not to wear one. A lot of people wear the same one for years on end but never do they actually donate, is that not more disrespectful than choosing not to wear one?}

Fff79 the poppy may not have anything to do with hitler mate, but is has plenty to do with helping to remember the brave ordinary blokes and women who died fighting his terror regime, I am with you on this.

Nice touch from McLean this week, a picture on instagram of him in his own words, giving a ‘ history lesson ‘ to his 2 toddlers, thing is he is sat in front of them with a terrorist style balaclava on, after the outcry he then deleted it and said it was a joke, and some people want this man at forest,? If he ever sets foot in the city ground, I never will,

13.) 29 Mar 2020

If the poppy was a remembrance purely for soldiers who died fighting the person regime then I would wear it everyday with pride. The problem I have with it is that it is used as a marshalling tool to show support for all British military campaigns and I didn't support our involvement in the Kosovo war, Sierra Leone war, Iraq (twice), Afghanistan, Libya nor our supporting of terrorists in Syria. With big help from the Soviets and to a lesser extent the Yanks we defeated fascism but it seems its still around and used to vilify people who exercise their right to choose not to wear a poppy. Incidentally, Stevie f, McClean has never said he dislikes the British people he disliked the British soldiers that killed innocent and peaceful protesters on Bloody Sunday and that is justified.

About the balaclava. How do you know he wasn't telling his kids about British soldiers wearing them in the Crimean War? A long shot, I know, but you never know.

Thanks for the reply mate but your blaming soldiers for following orders which is their duty.
They have no option but to follow those orders or be court marshalled.
Blame governments and terrorists for wars by all means but the soldiers just like the police and emergency services are there to keep us safe without them you have anarchy.

16.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 17:21:20
P, c You side with McLean, he sides with the ‘heroes ‘ who planted the bombs under the innocent people of Birmingham, and Manchester, warrington, london, etc etc

17.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 17:46:02
P c sorry it never occurred to me British soldiers weren’t in general British people, Kosovo was in fact not a British action, but a UN action, you also forget those nice people who ran Iraq the 1st time around had already invaded Kuwait, raping and pillaging, perhaps you would like to explain how we have supported terrorists in syria, when the biggest terrorists in Syria happens to be the Syrian government, as for the balaclava, it looked to me suspiciously like the ones the ira used to parade around in at funerals in Belfast,

18.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 19:28:25
I'm not blaming soldiers I don't support the war so I won't support the soldiers involved in the war, Ff. We still sent the military to Kosovo which we didn't have to but Tony Blair, being US's lapdog, duly obliged. The Gulf War wasn't to stop Saddam invading Kuwait it was to stop it spilling over into Saudi Arabia. Sorry for the confusion regarding Syria. Our government calls them 'Rebels' whereas I call them what they are. Terrorists. Unauthorised acts of violence to coerce a government. That's terrorism. If you think McClean supports terrorism then that's your opinion but I haven't seen anywhere where he states he supported the IRA. In my opinion the army should be to protect their own country not protect other countries on the whims of the USA.

Makes no sense mate sorry.

20.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 19:56:01
Fair enough, mate. No worries.

21.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 20:09:47
Pc then you should open your eyes more, there’s an infamous picture on the net with him having ira insignia on his training kit at wba.

22.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 20:18:51
Pc oh yeah and the people you call terrorists who we are supposed to be helping in Syria, are rebelling against the Assad regime, a government which gasses its own people, backed by that nice mr Putin, Assad is no better than hitler,

23.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 20:31:17
Theres a bigger war out there at the moment and an invisible one. let's leave it there?

24.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 21:05:04
Fff79 fair dues mate just get a bit sick of people putting this country down,

25.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 21:30:41
Syria is none of our business, Stevie. Which is generally my point. Conflicts in other countries are nothing to do with us. I don't subscribe to your perceived jingoism. And the rebels in Syria are terrorists whichever way you paint it up. That picture must have been taken of the net somehow because I can't find it. Nemanja Matic never gets any stick for refusing to wear a poppy on his shirt which I find rather interesting.

26.) 29 Mar 2020
29 Mar 2020 22:52:13
Pc I suppose the million refugees coming out of Syria driven out by the murderous Assad regime won’t be anything to do with us either,? No doubt you’ll be expecting Europe and the uk to look after them, that’s one reason why it is our business, and the McLean picture was on his Wigan training kit, not wba, my mistake,
