Is Marcus McGuane eligible to play for the first team if good enough or does have to play for the U23s due to signing out the transfer window?

I think your second point is correct, we just needed to get him in and so it's the U23s where he will start, but my guess is that as well as training with them Sabri will include him in 1st XI training sessions.

He is set to go into the under twenty threes untill the end of the season then train with the first team in pre season.
