Can I remind everyone about a number of players who seemingly didn't click with us. All moved on to better things. Some of us will recall Mr Sheringham in Cloughies day But she see McGoldrick playing in the premier league! And for that matter Sharpe as well . Can anyone name more players who have moved on to success playing elsewhere? Sometimes it is playing in the wrong position. My point is are making this mistake with JC.

Mcgoldrick has always been a good player. Improved whilst at ipswich but a real surprise at sheff u. Sharp always was the real deal scored goals at every level, great player great guy. A bit in the graban mould but scores more with fewer chances. Other players of note chambers is a good cebntre half, hutchinson at weds is stellar, tomlin at cardiff to name a few.
As for carvalaho? His lack of strength and turn of pace means he won't cut it in this cut and thrust div. He drifts all over the pitch and his last big performance was against boro last season against a makeshift back four and 10 men if i remember. He is a luxury at this moment, has an eye for a pass when given space but how many times does he continually try the impossible and lose posession.

Whether it be a manager not getting the best out of a player because he is played out of position, the managers set does not suit the player, the managers and the players personalitys clash, or any other reason anyone can think of it has always happened, and it will happen in the future with other Managers / Head Coaches.

The telling thing about Carvalho for me is when he was getting regular game time when he first joined he must have known he was strong enough yet he seems to have done very little about building his strength up in all the time he has been with us. Speed is not always important if you have a good footballing brain to go with the required strength and skill set.

Grant Holt? Played right wing for us in League One without pulling up any trees. A few years later he's one of the leading scorers in the Premier League, playing centre-forward at Norwich City.

I think comments about Carvalho not 100% suiting the league are fair but some are making comments las if he’s useless when he clearly is a gifted footballer and I think our system of slow possession and defend after a goal don’t suit him. I think it’s the same for Grabban too. If we actually had quick skilful wingers as outlets for someone like JC and kept spraying balls into the box Grabban would score double!

Speaking today to my postman who is a big Leeds fan, he said the reason they are doing so well is that all their midfielders are scoring regularly and not depending on one striker. We have not got to that point yet.

Leeds have to rely on their midfielders for goals because Bamford doesn't get nearly enough.

Leave the poor postie alone he's trying to do his job as quickly as possible, imagine if everyone stopped him and had a football discussion he'd never get home you'll probably only get your mail once a week from now on he'll save em up and get it over in one day, 🤣🤣🤣.

Tomlin is an overweight footballer that has a talent but isn't professional enough to look after his fitness if you think he moved on to better things by playing for Peterborough last season then I feel sorry for you.

That's exactly what we're looking for in our set up midfielders that can score goals.

Sharp has one goal and 0 assists and mcgoldrick has 0 goals and 1 assist hardly tearing it up making my wish they hadn't left lol.

It's all about how you fit into a reams system any player can look poor if the system doesn't suit?
We had the Lampard, Gerrard debate at international level,
Look at Watson last season and then look now, different ideas from different coaches make players or break players.
The players that annoy me is the ones whose head drops, that's been a big problem at forest for years but this season we don't see it except for one player who doesn't look happy with the world.

Red James that's because they aren't premier quality and are too old for the pace of the prem.
Good solid championship pros but not good enough at that level.
