Agent mischeif. They always tip off papers that another club want a player when they are trying to negotiate a new contract. All part of the game.

Samba is currently on approx £7k a week. Lens highest paid player is currently on approx £9k per week.

If Samba or his agent think they'll get a better wage in Ligue Un than over here then good luck to them but there's zero chance.

The other side of the game is the club making a show of looking at alternative players during negotiations as a message to the player/ agent. Lots of good GKs would love to play in the Prem league.
