First of all i think MOn will do a great job at Forest.

Secondly it looks to me that now AK has gone so has Carvalhos place in the side Ireland didn't fancy him and by the look of things neither does Martin.

If you look at the player MON has brought in Benalouane who was grea t by the way and the player he is looking at McLean they are both hard men not powder puffs that we have been signing.

Joao is a gifted player but imo to lightweight for this league. I would bring in McDonald from Fulham to create for us a big strong physical player.

Good luck Martin you're going to need it.

Carvalho doesn’t fit in a 4-4-2 which MoN played yesterday. Can see him coming back in if we play the loan striker which has been working this season. It’s the defense that’s let the team down as of late.

You say he doesn't fit in a 442 but then why not go with a 41212 at home? Similar to the Billy Davies era when Majewski/McGugan played a role like Carvalho.

Even if we did do that though I don't think Grabban and Murphy can play together, we need a striker with a lot of pace to play alongside one of them.

Didn’t realise we had a loan striker Kimbo?
Or did you mean lone striker as in “The Lone Ranger”?
“ Hiho silver-Awayyy”. Could always put Tonto up front with him. 🤪

Rick, what a great shout that is. I think MON may we’ll try that. Loved Lewis and Radi when they were on their game (too infrequent on both counts) but a think carvalho is a better player so why not try it? Next issue is the Chris Cohen replacement ? Vital to have that kind of energy in that formation .

The problem yesterday was the lack of a defence because of bad discipline, which wasn't Martin's fault, he picked what he had and I think Benalouane had a great game after 1 training session, as did Colback and Jacob, unfortunately these two are too alike for 442, perhaps his only mistake was to pick a 442 formation so soon.
On the other hand I can't believe so many negative comments, I set next to a guy yesterday who did nothing but criticise the performance, manager, the players and the whole atmosphere in the stadium, the atmosphere I agree with, it was the most subdued I have known for many years, on social media fans have been calling for 442 particularly at home all season, and now its we shouldn't be playing this formation, personally I hope the manager has got the balls to stick with it, it's simple, the easiest thing to do in football is talk, when we are defending everyone picks a man up, yesterday Janko was being pulled into positions he shouldn't have been which gave them 2 men wide left, its simple to talk to team mates.
Cash needs to stand up, he spends more time sat on his backside with his arms in the air,
Danny Fox should be back this week so that will give us more balance( if he isn't sold)
My team would be, (dependant on any new signings)
Steele
Janko Fox Benalouane Robinson
Lolley Colback Guidioura Osborn
Grabben Appiah

Pants, Carvalho, Yates, Jacob, Murphy, Ahmedhodzic, Ward.

All in all I thought we showed promise, again I hope we stick with 442, the fans need to get behind Martin and the players, give them the time to develop, you just never know what can happen in this division.

I know some of you will have a go back but this is my thoughts.

Janco needs binningg off total crap.
Fox and benalouan are both left sided and I know which one 8d prefer and it ain't fox.
Appiah is not a striker and Osborn does my head in to be honest, great engine but brain hmmmm?talk about going forwards to turn backwards?
Always puts a shift in but what is he? Ihavent got a clue personally and after playing 194 games for us at the age of 24 he's unlikely to get better and can't hold down one position ,has just Mr emergency time to go,sell sell

I agree with you about Osborn, Cash is another one that keeps falling over to easily, still has a lot of potential but needs bulking up, would be better off as an impact sub but is still one for the future,

I know players have bad games but constant slanging off of players like Osborn, Cash etc won't improve them.
Most Forest fans wet themselves when Osborn scored the winner against Derby but turn on him in the blink of an eye.
James Perch comes to mind, moaned about constantly and then won promotion with another team and stayed in the top league for quiet a while and those who moaned about Morgan being overweight won promotion to premier league and won it too.
Yes give Appiah a chance, he's turned down two German teams and that's from his mouth, he went to school with my stepson, that shows commitment.
The only two that's been really poor of late are Pantilimon and Guedioura, two of the most experienced and senior players.

I can see the sniping has already started , Karanka 's fault, players fault, injured players fault, MON's fault BUT never the moaning fans fault?
This is going to get very toxic very quickly if everyone does not get a grip and get behind the manager and players!
