So a premature sacking looks to be on the horizon then. Hopefully it works out. Has Warburton got a job yet?

According to twitter he's already gone

According to Twitter he has agreed to go by mutual consent

It was gutting to give 2 away in stoppage time, it happens though, but a point at Norwich is a good result overall. The drive home was very quiet.
To start calling for the managers head now is crazy, that will get them nowhere as proved on many occasions in the past. 3pts off the play off spots. Another 12 months and it will be a different story.

Bv ak is once again moaning about players attitudes yet there HIS players now so has he bought wrong ? He keeps playing 4,2,3,1 at home and it isn't working yet still plays it, he bought dias on when we needed a steady head and dias cost us the 2 goals, pants has been second rate his while career and still is the list is starting to mount now a little less stubbornness from ak and we would be closer to the top 2 but he refuses to admit certain things aren't working

Premature? He's won 15 out of 49 games!

Why not go for a proven British manager- step forward Big Sam.

He’s only got himself to blame, crap subs useless tactics esp at home, yesterday I can’t see why he took Robinson off n unbalanced the back 4 then we bring on Dias who might aswell of been wearing yellow n yet still people don’t think it’s the managers fault, he’s the 1 who chooses what to do, I think since the ipswich game n his post match interview something clearly happened, did he bring grabban off when he was on a hat trick? Maybe he had an argument with him

Thank God there is someone on here with common sense, thank you balanced view. I'm sure just about everyone on here would have taken a point before kick off, that said it was still pretty gutting to draw from 3-0 up with 20 to go. The ref made some awful decisions both ways.

Karanka has done a decent job this season and we are on the fringe of play-offs, people on here are so fickle when it comes to the managers and results, it's hilarious.

Hope you stay Karanka and Happy Xmas to you.

I think he has done well and brought a good style of football when it has worked but needs to be more flexible in his approach to some games.
Under Fawaz we called for managers heads mainly because the managers were puppets to Fawaz and now we have an owner and board with ambition it seems like fans don't like that either?
If AK is sacked it is because the people in control want better for our club so surly we should be thankful for that shouldn't we?

Actually it was 13 to go

According to my maths he's won 8 out of 21 home games. Not many clubs with poor home form Like that. Not many managers would survive that stat especially with 22009 season ticket holders who the owners need to renew next year.

Random fact 1: Mark Warburton and Dougie Freedman both had better win percentages than Aitor Karanka operating with far fewer resources.

Imagine what they could have done with this kind of money.

Know what you are saying RedCyclist but we all know the type of player Warburton brought in so I think that would have been disastrous.
AK has brought in some very good players but his systems and the love of his favourites even when not playing well, is not getting the best from them.
Let's see who we bring in and who is in control in January but good to see the owner is aiming high

We DO NOT know what type of player Warburton might have brought in with £26M at all because he didn't have the opportunity. That is obvious.

I'd be the first to agree that he made a couple of transfer mistakes but he still managed to win occasionally with far cheaper players. That is what a coach's main job in. Get wins.

Tachsidis? Watson? Are they really better than Bridcutt?

Is Goncalves a better player than Barrie McKay?

I'll tell you the difference between those players. The ones Karanka signed are on a lot more money.

all managers are puppets to the owner and all managers have their favourites. .that's why they sign them.
Just saying

Agree the manager has made some mistakes but don't we all.
Looking at the whole picture we are inconsistent.
Looking at our results against the leading pack in the division,
we drew but should have won with Leeds
1 point from Norwich from both games should have been 3
drew with WBA
beat Sheff UTD
beat Midboro
drew with Derby

So what i'm saying is we are a good side , losing just once to the cream teams , yes we are bang average at home but we are still so much improved on last season.
We are getting there all be it slowly.
Forget last season and bringing the stats in its this season that counts. Last season was all about survival ,this season is about making play offs and we aren't far off.

I think we do know RedCyclist, that's why they got rid before allowing him to do it again lol.
McKay was never going to be good enough apart from the odd goal but all the rest about comparing players is irrelevant
A good player may look poor if not happy or not played in the correct position or formation such as Pogba.
The buck stops with the manager and it looks like we are in for a change whether we want it or not so comparing players or past managers matters not. Forward not backwards

Calm down fellow Reds and stay with Karanka! If Dias had put his boot through it with the last kick of the game we d be in 7th place a point adrift!Admittedly Dias was a strange choice as sub but it must have AK tearing his hair out!The Real Madrid team he was at the heart of would have kept the ball for most of the remaining minutes so the opposition wouldn't have had a sniff!

The point I'm making is that we would not have signed Barry McKay if we had 13M to spend on one player. So no we DON'T know what he would have signed because he didn't have the money.

My opinion is this. The main problem we have had for 10 years is that we perform against strong sides and can't beat the average and poor ones. We still have exactly that problem. We are also still not winning games in spite of spending an absolute fortune.

I'd be so happy if Krankie turns it around. I want us to get promoted. But the suspicion I have had since the day he was appointed is that he is no better than previous managers. I still suspect that is the case.
