IF and it's a big IF Awoniyi can be turned round attitude and confidence wise we don't need to sign another striker imo
With Sangare and Danilo back it's like having two new players in the engine room
Great togetherness in the squad don't let's spoil it by signing a possible rotten apple.

We still do. If either striker gets injured we won't have an option on the bench. And Awoniyi yet to show enough to warrant a start.

I just don't see this happening. Ambition we have by the boat load but with money we have to stay under the rules that have bitten our rear end before.
We won't spend 80 million and even if they lower the asking price by a few mill it's dangerous for us to flirt with.
We're still a club that has to play with 20-25 million as top price. The players we hope to sell off this January, wouldn't bring in that type of money and to be fair, how many clubs are lining up for our cast offs?
Nice fantasy but I fear it's just that.

He is a top player, improves our starting eleven, can play any attacking position. If the big boss thinks we can go for it, why not. When he first bought Forest, he questioned the fans ambition. Let's all enjoy the Evangelos ride.

It would be a great coup but the last hing we need is to risk any ffp backlash given our current position. We need to add in a way that gives us some depth for the rest of the season. What about the Feyenoord striker?

Yep, Iād take Giminez SYD, scored a brace against Bayern last night and is a consistent goal scorer. Wouldnāt upset the dressing room too much either and at a reasonable price for his goal scoring talents. I know he turned us down 3 times in the summer but i wouldnāt hold a grudge against him for that, to be fair we were premier league strugglers at that time but now we are flying and a more appealing option. Time will tell as to who we bring in this transfer window but i do think we need another striker in as if Wood picks up an injury then we are knackered as Awoniyi isnāt the answer. Heās well off the boil and showing us the clumsy oaf that i always thought he was/ is. I wouldnāt be paying more than weāve offered for Wissa either as heās 28. Cunha is definitely a talent so we will have to wait and see what happens. Either way i reckon we will need to get a bit of quality over the line before the window slams shut.

Giminez agreed terms with Milan. Now club have to agree with Feyenoord which is likely to be a bit more difficult. I just hope we don't end up without Cunha or Wissa and end up like the summer when we were left short as moves for Giminez and Marmoush failed.

Perko, spot on. Taiwo isn't the same player he was 2 years ago. Always grateful for serving a purpose but we need a point of difference up front. Preferably one with pace and finishing. West ham pulled off a bloody coup with thier latest signing.

Reading now that Santiago Gimenez now is open to joining Forest in January! That's very big of him! His reasons for messing us about in the summer was he didn't want to join a team facing a relegation battle! Says everything about the man's character imo
Move on Forest the man lacks character imo.

We could still be a relegation fight. If Anderson gets injured or we play like we did against Man City then who knows what could happen.
Its a tight league league this season and until we get to 40 points we cannot take our foot off the gas.

The guy earned the right to play for his current team in the Champions league, and if it were me I wouldn't have moved to any club not just Forest, if I've earned that right. Also there is not a fan here who expected our club to have progressed as quickly as they have, never mind players from all over Europe. Nobody here can say we don't need a goalscorer and lord knows they guy scores for fun. I'd welcome him with open arms to the CG. This is a business, lots of money involved. People are allowed to have a change of heart but maybe many here have never changed their minds over anything.

Kelleher was the subject of a large bid from us apparently.
If it had been accepted it would have taken the cost of trying to replicate Samba seem absolutely outrageous.
Big fees spent, loan fees and huge wages trying to replace a man who should have been kept at all costs.

DTP I am with you I am afraid, atm. Your point re Williams and Ania negating the need for HO and Elanga. These latter two not heading for the line to centre to Wood but cutting inside, is loosing us chances and therefore matches.
Sanghera cannot be any better than OBrien, yet he stays the other goes. Jota and Sosa have energy, as does Yates. Jota and Yates were all over. Sadly, it was in 90 mins when Jota and Sosa were brought on. Where was Morena?
The style of Nuno play is identical to last season. We were so lucky that 3 teams were poorer than ours. Surely all fans, Big M included, hope for a better season ie a mid table finish. I cannot presently see that happening.
Folks on this site see the issues. We are armchair critics with very little knowledge, only watching players and noting positive and negatives. However, these points are made as we want our team to do well.
Nuno is being given a chance, but with the current second and third teams next away, it is likely we will gain no more points and then Fulham. This season we have a much better and more skillful squad. Letās hope Nuno sees what we see and didnāt think on Saturday we could win. So therefore, he played a defensive hand. We need a manager who looks forward not backward all the time.

Doc, I think you are dealing with symantec's when you say 3 teams poorer than ours, or is it our team better than theirs?
You can paint it how you want, is the rest of the league poorer than City, yes, what a negative way to view things though, doesn't make everyone else shite.
Not sure what Sels could have done about the goal, he's been pretty solid for us to be fair, if he makes a clanger then Miguel will come in.
Sangare is heads and shoulders better than O'Brien, he hasn't ripped up any trees since leaving us, not sure how he keeps popping up, championship player is all.
We've had a decent start to be fair, I know we have harder games to come but jeez, we haven't been played off the park or beat yet.

I don't think nuno's job is in any danger currently. He has a better squad than he did last year as he actually got options now. He will get some things right but he will also get things wrong, so I see us finishing 14-15.
We get 3pts from next 3 games would be OK.
For Liverpool would go with a 4-3-2-1 to give us that bit extra in midfield. Get a draw there and would be happy. Brighton and Fulham are both winnable games if get tactics and substitutions right.

Brighton winnable?
Really?
Hope your right and you put a tenner on at what will be at least 4 to 1 odds
There's definitely a good side in our squad as there was last season to, but it's a usual 4 2 3 1
But for me more like 4 2 2 1 1
To much space between players and MGW doesn't get beyond wood to be the number ten most the time that will score
MGW has all the talent but doesn't score enough for me.

We play the other 19 teams twice. When we play them is largely irrelevant, although playing the perceived top 6 on the bounce could effect morale. Judging a season after 3-4 games seems a little nonsensical. If the doomers are still calling for Nuno's head in Dec, then let's see who's available. Maranakis is keen to tap into the Brazilian market, using Mendes. Having a Portuguese coach seems a logical step to me. In the words of Lance Corporal Jack Jones 'Don't Panic' - yet. FTID.
