The treatment of James McClean by some Forest fans yesterday was nothing short of disgraceful. It's his choice whether he has a poppy on his shirt or not and he's got his reason's for choosing not to.

The minute silence and bugle player made me feel very proud of our boys.

11 Nov 2018 09:47:19
People need to fully understand both the significance of the poppy and McLean's reason given his birthplace for his choice in not wearing a poppy.

You may not agree with his decision but you should understand and respect his reasons.

It's a shame that Forest fans cannot put as much effort into shouting encouragement for our team as they did in booing a player constantly throughout the match?

Sitting in the BC Stand (booing apart) the Stoke support was significantly more vocal than 25k+ Forest fans over the duration of the game, which is a pity as it might just have got us over the line today?

11 Nov 2018 10:20:02
If you want more noise at the city ground get yourself down there and orchestrate it instead of being at home, leave the fans alone we pay our money.

11 Nov 2018 15:31:37
Ff799,
Typical deflection response. when faced with facts. Start believing and stop sniping. Get behind the lads instead of moaning. I was there doing my bit sitting behind you but never heard a peep from the armchair fans in the box seats except moronic booing!

11 Nov 2018 18:30:17
Just shows what so rubbish you post how can we be armchair fans in a stadium?

11 Nov 2018 20:28:39
Because you sit there "with your feet up" in silence so you might as well be at home in your armchair! 😴😴😴

I've clearly hit a nerve with the truth so I'll rest my case!

12 Nov 2018 08:08:31
We don't sit there in silence and you wouldn't know me from Adam, didn't spot you in your red trousers, anyway thought you liked sitting in the main stand near half way ? As according to you that's the only place you can watch properly🤔🍾🤔

12 Nov 2018 22:04:46
Someone in a flat cap shouting ‘i do not believe it’!?
Just kidding pal 😘

12 Nov 2018 22:32:12
Ff799,
Just doing my market research on the Silence of the Lambs in the BC Stand to back up my argument that most of you sit and grumble rather than sing your hearts out.

Out sung by the Stoke fans. Shame on you all when games are decided by fine margins!

AK and the players have stepped up to the plate and now the fans need to to push us to promotion rather than sniping about the style of play?

It's called winning football. You can have your bells and whistles once we have a spare £100m or sso following promotion!

Regarding McLean and the poppy. Through my own research, war is big business for the Elite to gain power and wealth. No doubt the brave soldiers who died deserve recognition as they believed they were fighting for freedom. I cannot speak for McLean, but maybe he is just taking an anti war stance. Personally I wish to see an end to these phoney wars and the deaths of soldiers and civilians. Or do the majority of people still believe a man in a cave orchestrated an elaborate attack on one of the most closely guarded air spaces in the world?

10 Nov 2018 20:51:58
War should never happen and no one has the right to take another person's life.
It's just some humans,be they powerfull and want war and power or a football hooligan who wants to hit another fan or gang member that thinks it's cool to kill in gangs.
These fallen soldiers had no option but to fight and most didn't want to,what's wrong is McLean didn't respect the fallen that had no choice,he's a sad human being for not understanding that

10 Nov 2018 21:33:58
I agree with a lot of what you say Ff but it seems to me you are not fully acquainted with Mccleans reasoning. Maybe you don't fully understand him.

10 Nov 2018 23:34:34
No one does he's bitter but remember people from both sides lost their loved ones in Ireland and bitterness just carries it 9n to the next generation and tha5s why you never get peace.
So yes I do know his situation but it's time he moved on.

11 Nov 2018 09:41:48
Guys please do your research on the full significance of the poppy and McClean's reasons for his decision. You may not agree but you should respect his choice.

Channeling your energy in supporting our team rather than booing a player for 90 minutes might have made won us 3 points instead of one today?

11 Nov 2018 19:33:29
Yes,we should all respect Mcleans refusal to wear a poppy, even supporters of the IRA have their rights in our democracy!

11 Nov 2018 20:32:08
Stokey, like I said do your research on Bloody Sunday and what the lad has actually said!

12 Nov 2018 09:31:51
The people who died died in WW2 prevented a fascist Europe. We don't live in a country where you decide what other people are allowed to wear. Leave him alone. Respect the people who gave him the freedom to choose and put your fascistic tendencies away!

13 Nov 2018 10:19:42
Redinexile, with respect, I have done my research over many years into the Irish troubles including Bloody Sunday and I see murderers and their apologists walking free on the streets whilst British soldiers doing their best in impossible situations being actively pursued by the Police on all sorts of trumped up allegations.

Such is the price of peace under the Good Friday agreement which, as usual, is paid by the young equalise whose fight was not theirs. I have no time for the people who perpetuate the myths that lead to people dying. As I said McLean can do what he likes in our democracy but I could recommend a few books he might like to read to get the full picture. Anyway rant over let's get back to the football!

06 Nov 2018 21:13:36
Just pointing out that AK's career stats are better than all of them bar OBE and Warbo whose are distorted managing in a Mickey Mouse League! Whose the clown?

Prove indeed that your most recent hero was the only manager with a win % of over 40% not to deliver a trophy TWICE!

Looking forward not backward to the league table in May 2019 to see where our journey takes us with a manager who has a whole season to do his best!
