Pearce expects henri lansbury to sign contract extension, also good possibility lansbury will be in squad to play at Bournemouth tomorrow coyr

wazza 12

1.) Yes he will sign a contract extension this week

2.) Brilliant news if its true

3.) Great news, if true, is this just abut feeling or is there a source?

{Ed034's Note - in NEP

4.) Great news. Hope he signs. Our team just keeps getting stronger with our long term in jury's coming back. COYR

5.) Rumour, better wage deal than Burnley

6.) This will be great news. Everything going well for us right now.

7.) SP Also states that Lansbury will be staying wether or not he signs a new contract.

8.) Too right. He is a forest player with 2 years left on outstanding contract. If fully fit, needs to be in the team.

9.) Lets hope he repays the club by producing performances we know he can deliver. interesting times!

10.) How fickle we are! When his move to BFC looked done and dusted he got a fair bit of abuse which I couldn't work out?
People were saying stuff like "we've got better players in now" & "he's not bigger than the club" one poster even said summat like "think we should just sell him now because they were sick of all the rumours about him"
I've also had to defend Dex On here too I just can't get my head round it?
So Henri has needed time to mull over a move to a prem club- that brings with it massive changes not just to him but any family relocate too, etc etc
Fact is he's one of us even if he thought through a new job offer let's get behind ALL the lads like Pearce himself said - our strength has always been us all (from tea lady to him and Fawaz) pulling together for the good of Nottingham Forest.
Let's do that eh? Things like this are all part of the ride let's cling on and enjoy!
Up the football league we go!
FTID

11.) Only thing Henris mulled over is an old contract offer. He didn't get a choice whether he wanted to go to burnley or not because we refused the bid.

By the looks of it he held out for more money which he has been offered. I wouldn't say people are too fickle at all we were united in saying that if he doesn't want to be here ie sign a new contract then let him go. The balls in his court now.

I hope he signs his new contract because he is a great player but the players need to unite and show their commitment to the club too.

12.) Strange one for me saying this before it's signed. If it's that close why not just announce it after.
Or is it a push along for burnley to stick a higher bid in? Not sure myself!

13.) Sadly the days of player like pearce being LOYAL to the club for 12 years no mater who comes in for them are long gone, its not about people being fickle NOTTS LOYAL its just they want the players to love the club as much as they do then when you hear they are holding the club to ransom it don't go down too well, I like lansbury & think he is a very good player but I just hope if he gets his new contract he repays the club with some class on the pitch, that's why people got on blackstocks back when he got his 4 year deal the goals stopped

14.) I sure he will stay after watching Burnley against Chelsea :-)

15.) Very few happy players want to leave but if someone offered you and your family a guaranteed 4 or 5 year pay rise. you can't blame him. Hope he stays and really hope no one boos him when he does make an appearance.

Djebbour will not be forest player next season, I've heard he was brought in but not paid transfer fee due to his poor attitude n we had option to purchase in summer

wazza 12

1.) Unless it was on loan this isn't true

2.) Little bits I've seen of him, certainly doesn't resemble his videos

3.) He has the look of a straight to DVD release.

4.) When he joined in January he signed a 2. 5 year contract he would not have done that if he was on loan only.

5.) Djebbour may want away due to no PL football next season but I don't see such a convoluted contract or agreement being put in place to sign him.

I think Djebbour will come good next season, if he's about.

6.) Can't be judged this season at all. Personally if chuck him on for our final four games. Him and Derbyshire up front and see how they go. Can't be any worse that we have been playing

7.) Another big wage player sat on the sidelines for 2/3 years.

The new Ismael Miller.

{Ed034's Note - you'll need to register to post from now on

8.) He must of had half a dozen touches all season. We haven't seen anything of him yet. Certainly too early to judge him. Can't for the life of me figure out why they bought him if he's not going to get any game time. If he's fit let him start in the last four games. Let's have a look at him, can't do any worse than cox

9.) Hope he don't stay, don't want anyone who rocks the boat, we need people who have pride in wearing the shirt

10.) He had plenty of touches yesterday and still managed to give the ball away more than any other player at training. Convinced he's not the answer but I hope he proves me wrong.

11.) Too early to write him off. He's not had any kind of run in the team.

Coming to a new country in the middle of the season has got to be tough. Let's see how he does next year with a full pre-season.

And what's the evidence for this poor attitude?

12.) I don't think we can judge him on what we've seen so far on the pitch. The reference to poor attitude alluded to by GB is more concerning but under Psycho's tutelage, he could become a star. Let's give him a chance to adjust before we write him off.

13.) The few times I've when he's played and I've seen him he's been making runs and trying to get into dangerous positions. He's pulled the opposition defence about too. Cox on the other hand works hard, but always seems on a hiding to nothing; when a decent ball comes over he is consistently out of position. Djebbour and Derbyshire need a chance.

14.) There would be no point in getting rid of him in the summer. He deserves a chance. Let's see what a full pre-season does for him and hopefully SP can get him firing. Cox, Hendo and Co. on the other hand have had ample opportunity and need to be moved on.

15.) Djebour was mentioned today in the post it looks likely that he won't be staying (looks like original poster is correct in that he is actually on loan with an option to buy) and its also likely that Adoun will be moved on to free up wages for SP to bring his own players in.

No rumour, just honest opinion, due to work commitments, I can't get to the games as often as I would like, yesterday I went to game n witnessed a shambolic inept, clueless, heartless display, I believe sp should be given the season to turn things round, we need to play balls through midfield, n wings not to hoof the ball upto britt, players looked scared to play the ball instead of just rushing into unessary balls, coyr we will pull through this keep the faith

All out of contract players to be released, Derbyshire. , gillet, moussi, greening, miller, jara, and tudgay all told there contracts will not be renewed, sp will seek quality not quantity in replacing these players coyr

wazza 12

1.) Only one I am supprised we have not looked at keeping is Peltier given our new smaller sized squad theory he can genuinely play anywhere accross the back four and also in midfield I would have thought he was worth keeping?

I don't really know how anybody can say, get good money for lansbury and let him go, forest struggled without lansbury In midfield whilst he was injured, you build a team round your best players, forest need 2 quality striker's to complete a very good squad already assembled, with 2 strikers who know where the back of the net is, in my opinion we will be challenging for top 2

Sp definitely at club tuesday, know someone in ticket office, imo Derbyshire deserves another years contract, has been consistent when given opportunity, probably would have hit 15 with a run in squad under davies, but never had the chance. I think 2 good strikers. n we will be sorted

Lansbury signing a new contract is fantastic news, I believe with a fully fit Lansbury, reid, Cohen, patterson we have one of the best midfields in championship, onwards n upwards
