Heard from a insider at forest. osborne to be transfered in January you read it here first

sgtwomble

1.) I know it is is pretty quiet at the moment but that is just laughable. Get real man

2.) You'd have probably said selling Darlow and Lascelles to Newcastle for 7m was ridiculous until it actually happened.

3.) 04 Dec 2014 10:49:12
Nothing would surprise me. The club is in dire straits financially.

4.) If a transfer embargo is imminent we need to trade with our assets in order to progress. If there's money on the table for Osborn, we should re-invest in a decent creative midfielder. Osborn is decent, but we have a few players who can fulfill his role. Our brush with the FFp law has put paid to buying quality & nurturing talent, its time to duck & dive.

5.) I have heard the same thing apparently Sunderland & West Brom are interested. Source - Mate from football that lives in the River Crescent flats (Where quite a few of the Forest players live).

I say hold on to him if we can as we won't be buying players for a while

6.) I heard on the radio a few days back, think he was a ex ref who said he had heard from a friend that Forest will have no problems signing players in January, he seemed pretty confident.

7.) 07 Dec 2014 16:12:30
Sell lansbury first done hardly nowt this season.

8.) Pearce seem to think we will be under an embargo in January. think his words are more trust worthy. we will be able to bring players in on the basis of one out one in. we can also bring in 2 over 21 players as long as there free and wages don't exceed 10k a week.

9.) Let's wait and see what happens with QPR who are fighting there fine etc

Bamford has gone to Boro and Machraen has gone to Vittesse

sgtwomble

1.) So much for these rumours that people say they have a source!
really unless it's announced then nobody really knows!

Still waiting for a top striker.

FTID

2.) Would have liked to have seen bamford at forest for a season, even as a back up striker imo he would get 15 plus goals

3.) Can't find anywhere that Bamford has gone to Middlesbrough, Ed??

{Ed034's Note - me neither

4.) Bamford spent 10 years at Forest and offered the best contract for a youngster. He went and good riddance, we will eventually produce better!

5.) Unlikely that Bamford has joined Boro as they have Omeruo from Chelsea on loan and Chelsea don't tend to loan more than 1 player to a club (except their foreigners to Vitesse)

6.) Not a done deal yet but likely to happen due to their managers relationship with Mourinho.

7.) Sorry but it just wouldn't excite me with Bamford coming back, agree with Scottish Red on this one.

8.) Bamford is possibly the best striker we have ever had come through in the academy I would be delighted if he returned but hopefully as a striker because it seemed he was wasted on the wing down the road

9.) Listen to Pearce's interview don't think Bamford is on his list though hinted about loaning someone from Chelsea, as he's after a proven 20 goals a season goalscorer (which Bamford isn't even if he's talented)

10.) Sorry, but it's ridiculous to criticise Bamford for leaving. He had the chance to go to Chelsea and he took it. There's nothing wrong with that. The vast majority of peope would do the same. The expectations some people have on player's loyalty is way over the top.

11.) Going to Derby might have just a tad to do with peoples opinions. Being a Forest lad and all that.

12.) Totally agree with goosehonk on this one, cannot blame Bamford or for that matter any young player who gets the chance to move up to the Premiership & takes it.

13.) Think you'll find Bamford scored about 20 goals last season, in L1/Champsh in his first full season, coach at Acc told me best outfield player since JJ

14.) Imo if bamford got a full season at a championship club he would get 20 plus goals

Heard clake and wilson are coming frm coventry
wells frm bradford 3 young hungry players would
not cost an arm un a leg. They are the sort of players
we need.

sgtwomble

1.) Hope your right chap. These would be spot on, good call!
COOPERRED

2.) Think they would still cost a bit for unproven players at this level and premiership

3.) Totally agree. The right calibre age and realistic cost and value. Really hope this happens
Rutland red

4.) Have to admit i'd be happy with that lot but can't see it myself.

mod red

5.) They all tick the right boxes. All 3 are better than anything we currently have. All have pace and all 3 obviously know where the net is. Really hope this happens also!

{Ed034's Note - all three are unproven at this level, so you cannot make that statement.

6.) Stan collymore was unproven when we got him & he did ok lol, sometimes you have to take a gamble for sure all 3 of these young players know were the net is its how we play them if we get them that matters

{Ed034's Note - I don't disagree. I'm saying that you can't say any of those players are better than what we have, as they've never played the level these have

7.) Agreed ed, but the way we play with an extra midfielder we need pace with someone playing off the back shoulder. These seem to be those types, would rather take a chance with youth than a washed up Fryatt type!

{Ed034's Note - washed up??? He's 27. We need done one that can create space, pull defenders around and can score. Our pace is from the way we use the ball

8.) Sorry Ed I agree with the above. We need players that will improve Forest and will help them for many years. I am not a BD fan, but I keep hoping he will prove me wrong. He has made mistakes, like we all do. Hopefully he will make good purchases, but Fryatt is not one. Just watched the game today and Billy got everything right. Though a poor West Ham side. Well done BD and Forest. I also loved the banter between Billy and Andy Reid today, it shows how close the squad are. We need players like Reid and Hobbs.
Scottish Red

{Ed034's Note - we need players that will improve us and he will.

9.) Living in Cov I have read that Wilson is out poss long term?

Newcastle Fans were calling for Pardews Head not long ago when they were in the bottom three Look at them now top half
Man City can't win at moment so it can happen to the so called best teams give Pearcy achance don't get on his case I've watched Forest for over 50 years i was at the cup final in 1959 and i never lose the faith

sgtwomble

1.) 01 Nov 2014 20:15:51
We need 2 more strikers. Match stats looked as if we were unlucky. Grant Holt is on loan, why not at the City ground?

2.) Yes I was at the cup final as well mate in 1959 but our owner wasn't. I think he'll give Pearce another month then he'll be gone if there's no improvement.
On paper that team we put out today should have walked it. It's all down to confidence and at the moment we haven't got any.

neil webb would be my player to replace reidy from past teams pure class in middle of park

sgtwomble

1.) Spot on Womble. Would be my pick as well. The less fat Webby from the mid to late 80's was superb for Forest

2.) 15 Oct 2014 22:37:03
Great player, incredible vision and passing range, weighed on with some good goals too. That team in the very late eighties was never quite as promising after he went. As I recall his sale prompted the Sheridan debacle.

I have followed forest for 50years and seen a lot of great players in the red shirt joe baker lan storey moore flip le flem alan hinton duncan mackenzie jim baxter peter cormack to name a few but the best goalscorer I saw was Colin Booth who scored nearly every game these players played for the love of the club not money how times have changed any thoughts fellow reds

sgtwomble

1.) There's a few missing from your list Collimore, VHD, Wignall, Frances, but got to say I watched all but Colin Booth, but Peter Cormack, you have to be joking, can only remember him being rubbish, so checked his stats, one in every 5 games over two seasons, forest got rid because not scoring enough goals.

2.) I remember the time Colin Booth played for Forest and without checking the records I cannot remember him being prolific. I may be wrong.

3.) Its called sky tv they pump billions into football in this country and players see this and think I want some of that.I do think the wages players are on is ridiculous how can Rooney get £300k a week and a nurse or fireman get £20,000 or £30,000 a year.

{Ed034's Note - what other professions are on has got nothing to do with football. it really annoys me when this comparison is made. footballer get what they can, just like any other person would within the profession they chose.
to compare the two is unfair

4.) Would be fairer to compare with other pro sports, Golf Tennis, even athletics, a mean Bolt doesn't do to bad, don't see any of them being compared to a Nurse.

5.) I don't care if it annoys anyone how can Rooney be worth more a week than people who save other peoples lives

{Ed034's Note - nobody is saying that and that is twisting peoples words.
it is not his fault he gets more money. he gets it because the industry he is in means he can demand it.
its not like he or any other football says 'I am worth more than people who saves lives'.
you cannot compare the two.

6.) 06 Aug 2014 13:09:29
Rooney et al are simply getting the market rate for their job. They would be stupid to work for less.

7.) Peter Cormack was a inside forward, not a striker, he was so bad Liverpool bought him and he won league medals with them, lol

12 Jan 2014 13:41:39
Ed. u said wells not proven at champs level did ok
yesterday dint he???

sgtwomble

{Ed034's Note - that doesn't change the fact he is unproven at this level or that I am right for saying he isn't....or am I wrong that he is not??

1.) Wells may or may not come off.

Either way it is a gamble

2.) Question to the poster if a player from div 2 scores in the fa cup against a prem team does that make him proven at prem level?

3.) It proves how well rated he was that he ended up at Huddersfield. if he was that good he would of been at a top 6 side.
Even silenzi scored one goal, doesn't make him prolific. lol

4.) I think he'll be one hell of a player one day. Can see him fitting straight in at Huddersfield, nice to see a young promising talent take the small steps rather than jumping for the big money as soon as possible. He seems to know what he wants and how to do it. Good luck to him I say.
