Apparently Forest are poised to sign Todd Kane on loan from Chelsea. A highly rated 21 year old versatile full back who has recently had a loan spell with Bristol City.

1.) Don't know anything about him but do fans think we need an experienced loanee or two rather than inexperienced ones. Just think a couple of older heads might sort us out better.

2.) He has played 41 games on loan at Blackburn, so very experienced in the Championship and has also been on loan at Preston and Bristol City.

3.) I saw him play a couple of times for Blackburn last season and once for Bristol this season. He will offer us more defensive stability which is encouraging.

Personally, I felt our best period this season was when Hunt was on the right and Lichaj was deployed on the left. With Kane able to play either role himself, I think it is a smart move.

Oh and Harding was on 11k per week and Kane will cost us less than 5k per week so it make fantastic business sense.

4.) Good experience and fits the age profile for getting around the embargo.

5.) This is a done deal and he will join tomorrow. I am not normally ITK but I can confirm this. Someone on here said he would offer us defensive stability but he is more of an attacking RB. He has also been playing CM at Bristol. Won't play there for us but suggests good qualities.

6.) Just to clarify, I said defensive stability not solidity. i. e. a consistant and reliable back 4. Lichaj can move over to left back replacing the awful Danny Fox. Hobbs and Mancienne can reform the strong partnership they had at the start of the season and Todd is a great replacement for Hunt as they play in a similar style.

I think this is the makings of a very strong back 4 if they can all stay fit and work well together.

Hi ed where did u read this? When u say finalised do u mean a decision either way?

ryforest

{Ed034's Note - various websites in Holland quoting it and it sounds like he's coming

1.) Really hope he does he seems a great young talent and will no doubt be hungry to prove his ability. Just a pacey winger now and for me we are about there COYR

2.) Cheers, let's hope he's a red by the end of the day!

3.) One or two quotes been translated. and it seems the media have got it wrong. all the lad wanted to do, was tie things up in Holland before joining this dream club. can't fault him. Bring it on

{Ed034's Note - please register

4.) . Foreverforest8 - I think getting Henri tied into a longer contract is amongst that list :)

5.) I did register ed, was it on another Forest Rumours. my mistake if so.

{Ed034's Note - if registered, you need to sign in then pal

6.) Big norm, that would be the best signin of the lot mate just hope that's the next 1 on the list!

7.) Sorted. I think lol

{Ed034's Note - certainly is

8.) Someone has posted that another Dutch club wanted a word with the lad. this has not materialised and things should be sorted later today. fingers crossed

{Ed034's Note - can I ask who has posted this?

9.) Feyenoord were the team interested

10.) A bit bored at work today so I did some research. Allegedly Feyenoord have a professional agreement with Excelsior and may have been interested in the player. Also Utrect and Heerenveen from the Dutch first division were also interested. But the article from the dutch local rag says that the general manager of the club expects the deal to happen now. It's more a case of when than if. This may be just chat and I'll rest easier when it's on the OS but it sounds positive compared with a couple of days ago.

11.) Dutch fan (been confirmed) on another site. ed

{Ed034's Note - ok thanks....oh and how dare he not use our site lol

12.) He found it hard to register. lol

{Ed034's Note - its a test to make sure you are suitable for the site lol

13.) Buzzing then hey lads. let's celebrate when he hits that dotted line lol. The life of a Forest fan hey?

14.) I hope it's not a waste of money :-/

It's a gamble getting players from the Dutch top division, let alone the 2nd tier. Let's hope the scouts have done a good job.

{Ed034's Note - he had lots of clubs watching him and is thought if highly. Whoever we sign at our level is a risk, that's shown with djebbour. Proven goalscorer/international and hasn't done it.
Half full!!!!

Fawaz tweets 'I will soon from everything' when asked would he ever leave as chairman.

ryforest

1.) 05 Feb 2015 10:41:45
Wouldn't blame him at all with all the abuse he gets !!!

People need to understand that he is spending his own money on our beloved club and that he wouldn't just waste his hard earned cash.

2.) Nffc 1954: There is a long standing argument as to whether Fawaz is funding this project with his own cash.
I like fawaz "apparent" enthusiasm for the club but his rap sheet makes interesting reading:

The clubs in huge debt
He won't use a CEO
He presided over a transfer embargo
He presided over a total embargo
He hasn't improved our facilities
He hasn't improved our infastructure
He won't pay bills on time
He appoints bad managers
We can't win a game.
He uses social media too much

For all that investment & trauma we have gone backwards.

Assuming we can still watch Forest every week. Would we really miss him?

3.) 05 Feb 2015 14:58:03
Cjay, I often agree with most you say but have to disagree totally. We were already in debt,he has had a CEOand we don't know why he left ( the truth ). How can he improve the infrastructure/facilities as he does not own them? He can't win a game? When was that down to him? He uses social media because everybody does and he likes to let fans know when something happens straight away. Your point about bills is valid but that happens the world over and many clubs owe others for players. Its highlighted here because of already being under sanctions. Maybe 10,000 millionaire forest fans can club together at Wigan game and make him an offer?

4.) Nick26: I appreciate some of the points are open to conjecture. The very fact they are, still begs the question, has the progress the project has made to date justified all the negative PR & tarnishing of reputations?
Look, I ain't that hung up about it that i'm going to take a "Fawaz out" sign to the Brighton game. I just don't think the club is run as well as it could be.

5.) I rarely agree with either of you, but Nick response is more relative to the majority of the fans.
I know neither of you were big Pearce the manager fans but, we didn't seem to have as many stupid press reports going on under his reign. It was almost as if we were normal. As soon as he leaves the circus comes to town again.
As for Fawaz not investing. Well, would we have a club if it wasn't for him? Doubtful!
As for the debt we are in, I think it's just his aragunce coming through. He thought that the way to the promise land is to chuck as much money as you can at the problem. Sadly not!
This bloke reportedly could buy nearly any club in the world. Yet he chose us! He clearly has a love for the club and it's history. He wants to please every fans wimm and does this by constantly reacting and making decisions that he thinks will win the fans hearts. It's not always the answer.
We all need to support Fawaz and Dougie and hopefully they can steer us out of this mess as one club! It starts down south on Saturday!
If not! Well laughing stock well be!

6.) 05 Feb 2015 19:22:45
I am in total agreement with you Cjay. Ownership is the problem, if that is not on a stable footing all else falls apart. We've limped from ND to FAH and things are no better. somehow we have to get off this merry-go-round.

I know its not a rumour but a Forest related question non the less, the Forest website advised that the Forest away shirt in size small would be available from 10th Oct then on that date was changed to 1st Nov. Now on the website there is no option for that size. Has anyone got any idea when/if it will become available please?

ryforest

1.) 1st November maybe ?

Hey Ed, I just wondered if u had any info on Forest bringing in anyone by the end of the deadline day from your connections? Sean Taylor (press) told me he expects outgoings. I suspect Collins to be one out the door. So much cover now in defence.

ryforest

{Ed034's Note - hi ry. as far as everyone at forest is concerned, nobody is expected to come in

1.) I think we may get a sneaky loan in. I'd like to see another winger bought in for cover.

2.) 29 Aug 2014 17:59:37
Another winger really? are Burke Paterson Antonio Reid Mcglaughlin and Osborne not enough for you then Gazza? Ooh I forgot Abdoun too ( lol )

3.) From those mentioned, I think Antonio and Burke are the only two natural 'wingers'.

Im sorry but we need to state what's happening in black and white now. i'm am extremely grateful to Mr Al Hasawi for the time and money he has put into our great club, however he has stated on many occasions that decisions on who we sign and sell is solely made by the manager. So why 5 days before a season kicks off does he behind the managers back against his wishes sell 2 of our most promising young players?

There is no viable excuse and now its having a detrimental affect throughout the club just before such a pivotal moment. This is not how a club should be run and yet again we look like a circus. When will we ever go forward all on the same playing field?

ryforest

1.) 05 Aug 2014 01:49:07
Totally agree mate, things don't seem right wouldn't blame Sp if he walked how can he manage without control of transfers

It finishes on the Monday 2nd Feb!! With only one more possible loan signing left even tho we've been leaking goals very badly I hope SP sticks with a settle CB pairing of MM and Hobbs so would like a Striker to come on loan to help Britt as Fryatt seems to be injured every week and Lars doesn't seem good enough. Even tho we lost against Fulham I hope SP sticks with the same line up (which beat Derby also) for Millwall with the exception of MM if fit, as I believe a consistent 11 will only benefit the performances and results. I hope Pearce knows about these transfers. What do u reckon Ed, I know u are a fan of Mackie due to his workrate, bad decision to let him go to a rival in our devision?

ryforest

{Ed034's Note - Pearce has said both players can go if we can find buyers. He wants a smaller squad but wants two more strikers. We can sign nine players and not expect some to leave

SP now quoted as saying pair where sold against his advice and he thought we could have asked for more. Just what we need before the start of a season unrest and confusion!
