Just been on a social site and a certain hobbie book has interviewed Gary Lineker and he said his best xi he's ever played with has 4 ex-Forest players in it. Shilton, Pearce, Walker and Anderson (Viv). Think that blows BBC 3s worst defender out the water!

Just caught the end of Englands worst ever team on BBC 3 and can't believe what I saw they had Des Walker in it! There's plenty more centre-halfs worse than him to play for England!
1.) I heard this aswell on another show but the reasoning was that he was class before he went abroad but was awful after

Dont understand as he got majority of caps before going to Sampdoria!

3.) Exactly Ed. Certainly when you look at rest of the team. There's no way he should be in that team.

4.) Just shows how the football media mafia works. Tony Adams was not fit to lace Des Walkers boots yet is is held up as an icon!

Des walker was excellent for England. But when he came back from sampdoria ad a couple of bad games one wAs against limpar he switched off from a throwing. At the time his head was not right having been played out of position in Italy and by turnip. If he had signed for any of top six instead if Wednesday he would have got back into England team easy

Exactly Ed! Not many young Goalkeepers/central defenders would have put in as impressive constant performances as those 2 have.
Darlow was in excellent form earler in the season and like everyone does he's had a couple of bad games. In some matches I've seen results could have been a lot worse if it wasn't for him. Darlow needs to stay put he is a future England No1!
{Ed034's Note - I think people forget that it's his first season as number one, just like its lascelles first season as a regular.
