Liverpool, arsenal, spurs and man united are tracking forest striker Tyler walker. Hope not as he's one for the reds future or possibly a player for now.

chriswilson1988

1.) Probably be another Patrick Bamford. Scores goals in Academy then moved out before we even play him. Hope not though as Dougie seems keen to bring our younger talent through to the first team.

2.) 15 Feb 2015 15:50:08
Hands off, but what can we do. If they want, they will get him.
I personally think we should start playing him in the first team as soon we are clear of the relegation battle. Play off is long gone.

3.) 15 Feb 2015 18:47:17
Been strangled by FFP is a worry if the big prem clubs come in with a big offer, I think Fawaz would be tempted hope to god I'm wrong I wanna see Tyler playing for Forest for years to come.

4.) 15 Feb 2015 20:33:03
I doesn't make any sense to sell players at the moment. Even if someone bought him for 50 million, we will still but under the embargo because we breached FFP. It doesn't matter how much profit we move into, we cannot sign players for a transfer fee. In that case, we should keep a hold of our players and build with what we have. We should play Tyler later on this season once we are safe so he gets some game time and see how he does in preseason.

Its the same reason why we didn't accept any of the other offers for Lansbury or Antonio, both of which we for 4m. Why would we do it with Tyler?

5.) 15 Feb 2015 20:40:30
Dont think we will sell yet due to ffp if we were just going to take the money we had a few bids for players on deadline day and he has just signed a new contract

6.) 16 Feb 2015 16:07:37
Everyone is tracking everyone - it's normal. Chill.

Any one else heard a rumout we are after mackay-steven from dundee united? Mate of mine said he heard this rumour.

chriswilson1988

1.) Haven't heard this. But it would be a great signing. Young hungry quick player very talented aswell. This in my opinion would be a stellar signing. Wouldn't break the bank either.

Forest interested in swp at qpr. Could be good bit of business if he's willing to take pay cut on wages.

chriswilson1988

1.) I don't think this is true for so many reasons.

Firstly, SWP goes against the kind of squad SP and Fawaz appear to be putting together.

Secondly, SWP doesn't have anything to offer these days that we don't already have.

Thirdly, wage demands would be too high.

Fourthly, much better and hungrier talent out there such as Matt Ritchie and Craig Noone

2.) 23 Jul 2014 16:09:22
Over paid!
Over rated!
Past his best!

rather young and up and coming payers! players who are not after another payday! FTID

3.) Agree with both above. ESP Craig noone, would be great signing. Also defo would consider scott sinclair. Bit forgot now, but with something to prove. IMO a excellent signing. COYR

4.) I disagree he, was a cracking player, I think SP will make exeptions for older players he's already showed he will look to bring in players young and old if he thinks they can do a job, having said that I do feel there are better out there.

5.) Why would Cardiff sell Noone? Especially to a promotion rival. Solskjaer rates him very highly. We missed the boat with the best option and that was Lloyd Dyer.

6.) Doesn't have anything we don't already?apart from being as fast as a greyhound.
If he took a massive pay cut he would be a very good sub to bring on late. isn't noone injured?

{Ed034's Note - is he that fast anymore??

7.) Skits around quickly with the odd ambitious shot on goal. Has been in the wilderness for too long. A poor mans Townsend or Lennon. Think Patinho looks brighter to me and the young Portuguese lad by all accounts. Not for us I hope.

8.) Buckley at Brighton for me, is Burke still available on a free? McCleary back would be the dream signing but he may go to the Prem.

In short no to the overpaid, underachieving SWP!

9.) Would rather us sign the lad silva from benfica, also disagree with mccleary not really shown a lot since moving a fair few reading fans think he is not as good as they thought and anyone forgot his games before the 3 month good spell IMO

10.) Hope not, past his best, really hope this comes to nothing.

11.) 24 Jul 2014 05:52:50
This is ridiculous. Football is dead easy. Expensive, but easy. All we've got to do is have the best players. SWP ain't it. We are lacking in that position though but there is only one man in my mind who can fill it. Garath McCleary. He's got one year of his contract to run and Reading are reluctant to renew his contract because the club is in limbo, financially. He's in the form of his life at the moment (ask any Reading fan), and would cost no more than £2.5m (which we've spent on much worse players). He's the best RW in the div, the deals there to be done. Do it. Secondly, we should never have let Pep go. If we'd had him last year, we'd have made the playoffs without a whistle of a doubt. He can't get within a whistle of the 1st at Palace and would come back. £1m, deal done. Simple. Thirdly, get Troy Deeney. £7m. Bam. Promotion. Finally sell Lascelles for £8 (no less or you're a turnip) and we've made a £2m loss but got a bangin squad that will be competitive. At the moment half our squad needed shooting (ref to BC's Eddie Gray quip), and half of them are Collins, Harding, Halford, Henderson and Cox. If Collins and Harding start a game for us this season we're not going up. YOu know it and I know it.

{Ed034's Note - haha

12.) Dane, Its not as easy as playing career manager on Fifa. Of course you are much more experienced than SP. Or maybe you could become his advisor?

I get what you are saying but your delivery is rather infantile and boring.

If this guy makes a national socialist party, be very scared!

13.) Cheers Alberto, a socialist would hardly approve of spending 10 million on a players. That would be a more capitalist ideal. Invest to accumulate and all that. Redistributing the wealth of the top 5 per cent is a social ideal I could go for though. Don't tell me you wouldn't like a piece of that lovely pie.

14.) Boring was definitely the wrong word. When I read this first thing, I was more like WOW!

I agree with most of what you say in the middle part. I just think we should look forward not back. By resigning McCleary, Pep etc its just saying to our best players, go play in the Prem and if you don't succeed we will have you back. Very dangerous IMO.

Let's not forget they left because they didn't want to play for us anymore. Let's get someone else in who does want to play for Forest.

We don't need to sell but we don't want players who don't want to play in our shirt. I trust Fawaz and SP to get it right this season.

As for SWP, no-one knows as we haven't seen him play for over a year. He might feel that his next move is his last big chance so play out of this world and give 110% every game. If that is the case, I may prefer him to anyone else you mentioned.

15.) It can work both ways though. A player coming back can send out the messagethat the grass isn't always greener and make others think twice about leaving. It's no good cutting off our nose to spite our face as these two players coming back would greatly enhance our squad.

{Ed034's Note - i wonder if fans think the signing of reid was a good move?

16.) "Let's not forget they left because they didn't want to play for us anymore. "

Well, yeah, but they wanted to go and play in the Prem for more money.

Can't really blame them. It'd be silly to turn down good players just because they left us once before.

17.) Players go to clubs that can match their ambitions. Whether that's playing at a higher level or simply for the cold hard cash. Right now, we need to demonstrate our ambitions. Mccleary is the best in the champ in that position (anybody disagree?), and more importantly- he's available. In my mind, pep was the best mid in the champ too while he was with us. Significantly, he could also be available at half the price we sold him for. He's suggested that he was happy at forest and it was the best time in his life, which would give us a big advantage if we wanted him back. These are realistic targets, unlike Buckley, pratley & whittingham etc.

Forest after troy deeney for 6 mill. Would be a quality signing.

chriswilson1988

1.) I would love this to be true - reported rumours on this earlier in the year. He has the best goal to game ratio in the championship when you take out the ten games he missed via injury. He knows Pato very well and needs a new challenge.

2.) Not sure this appears to be in Stuart pearce's way of working!

3.) Wish this was true, but I cannot see us paying that for anyone, unless the Lascelles 8 mill move happens?

4.) Can't see this happening even if we sell lascelles, sp and fawaz won't spend money like that on one player

5.) Not for that price he wouldn't duck!
That's a heck of a tag any way big lars is our target man deeney wouldn't get a look in ;-)

6.) Agree with longeatonred cannot see Fawaz spending that sort of money on one player.

Forest interested in free agen christian bolanos. The winger starred for costa rica in the world cup this summer. Could be a usefull signing on a free.

chriswilson1988

{Ed034's Note - was mentioned a couple of days back, but a new report has surfaced today

1.) Ed, what website is the report on?

{Ed034's Note - I can't put links up or promote other sites....sorry

2.) FinBeavon - type the player name into s famous search engine. Link to articale should be second hit :)

3.) Hope we can pull this one off, with him and pato providing the firepower for our new strike force surly we would be contenders

4.) Seems a credible report but unsure as to whether this would happen.

Decent enough signing though

5.) Really hope so
we desperately need wide and pacey players, its the highest gap rite now
McAnuff is NOT the answer, he's past it McLeary would be much much better, or this guy. fingers crossed.

6.) The report I've seen is rubbish.

It states 'fan forums' as it's source (us!), hardly anything concrete. The report is also poorly written and has factual errors.

I don't even recognise the site. Any old hack or nerd can send in articles too so I would say this particular piece is a waste of bandwidth and adds nothing further to what we already knew.

{Ed034's Note - the 'source' is fawaz. Now he might not be good enough for you, but he is for me.

7.) Once again, know Bolanos really well from the Danish League, and his last two seasons have been bad. He played a fine World Cup, but I can't see a player that struggle in Denmark can be right for Forest, so a no go!

8.) Weren't FC Copenhagen playing In Europe last season? If so, he would be good enough for Forest

9.) He didn't play much, not until they got their old coach back. Still a fine World Cup, but not a player I want for Forest!

10.) Haha. By that reasoning Clftonville players would be good enough for Forest then. Listen to Forest Dane, he should know.

11.) Wolves after him and he has played for the wolves manager before

12.) 12 Jul 2014 17:00:48
The source of the article is not Fawaz. If you read my post properly, you'll see I was questioning the article and not the rumour.

I said the article adds nothing further to what we already know and it doesn't, it's worthless. It doesn't strengthen the rumour, it's only regurgitating it.

{Ed034's Note - the report has stemmed from fawaz. Before he said it in an interview, there was no reports on it.
The new article was from South America and just shows fans the rumour has stretched further.
Chill out and smile

Anthony stokes could be a striker we can get on loan. Celtic wanna loan him out. Could be possible move till end of season.

22 May 2015 15:08:41
O'donnell signed for Wigan. Seems a shame. We should of snapped him up.

chriswilson1988

1.) 22 May 2015 15:28:36
He wanted to be in the north, he also said he could have got more money being a substitute for a Championship club.

Good on him, he has his priorities right.

2.) 22 May 2015 16:39:08
We've got Dorus, Evtimov and Erlandsson we don't need more 'Keepers.

3.) 22 May 2015 18:08:28
Freedman has stated he will use the youth we have at the club so if de vries gets injured the young lads will step up or is dougie going back on his words?

4.) 22 May 2015 19:05:03
We need an experienced/good keeper to challenge for a 1st team spot we need competion in all positions to create a competitive environment.when / if the young lads are ready put them in but please don't make it a sink or swim scenario for them as I've seen over the the years how we have built them up and then knocked them down. Or in the case of players coming in from outside knock them down b4 they even get here.

5.) 22 May 2015 19:11:49
As someone has said, Dougie tells us what he thinks we want to hear.

6.) 22 May 2015 20:44:30
Darlow stepped up osborn stepped up its time for the rest to step up.if your good enough your old enough.next season the target should be mid table that is if dougie actually acted on what he tells us all.he said he wants to use youth so use it and we will finish mid table next season them they all have experience and ready to go for the next season to improve on mid table.

7.) 22 May 2015 22:28:13
Randolph from Birmingham

13 Feb 2015 15:19:19
Britt out for a year. Really bad news. Could do with a proven goal scorer on loan or give Tyler walker a go. COYR!!!

chriswilson1988

1.) Well and truly Gutted for Brit!!!
Gutted for Forest!
Gutted for Dougie!
It's easy to say this now, but I thought it strange at the time. The second half once the ball had gone out of play he was stretching his knee by doing galloping motions and bending his standing leg. Wonder if it was playing him up prior.
Can't see Forest risking Kyle just before the big cup game against Spurs.
I don't think he'll be able to make the step up this year, when watching him he seems to be a little to light and easily pushed off the ball by defenders. Not idea for the championship. He also seems to work better in a 2 man attack. His strike partner Will come good as well, Gerry . . (Can't think of his surname)

15 Jul 2014 15:05:37
Should definetly get adomah in. Great pace dow the flank with mackie down other wing and pato playing just off striker.

chriswilson1988

1.) Dont think Mackies a natural winger, I would Play Adomah & Patterson out wide and keep Mackie as cover. We now have what look to be two quality strikers, can see Pearce going with a 442.

2.) Premier clubs very interested unfortunately.

3.) Adomah will cost us around 3m. Money well spent me thinks go get him.

4.) Adomah is not happening people

24 May 2014 13:12:05
Could be a good signing. Who is making decisions regarding transfers if pearce doesn't take over til 1 july?

chriswilson1988

{Ed034's Note - who could be??

1.) I think Pearce took charge straight after his initial press conference, the date is just a legality. Pearce is just doing a few weeks of voluntary work when he can fit it in between his other commitments.
