Just guessing but I think it's a case of the sponsors he has approached are waiting to see the potential division we'll be in over the following season or two. I always assumed though that he would approach middle eastern companies but he has said he has been searching for a strong British sponsor!?

MA was missing for all the first half and first bit of the second on Saturday. He skulked about not tracking back and staying on the ground when he got touched. No desire to help the team. Fair enough something happened in the second half ie. Osborn came on and MA started to try and had some fire. Maybe thought his signing on bonus was dropping. You can't force a player to stay if they want to go. Get what you c for them and see from there, just better sell to Prem and not a rival. Problem is the squad is very thin and needs a half decent replacement. Stop blaming fawaz the players are people with opinions and desires.

If a player wants to go all the club can do is get as much money as possible for them. No point keeping a moody player. 4 mill is a good price for a talented but very inconsistent player. Hope this Dutch midfielder being banded around is consistent though. Fawaz deserves a bit of a break I'm sure he isn't solely responsible for directly paying bills, players, ffp, loans etc. otherwise he would be the busiest man ever. Fallen foul of poop or bust over the last few years. Just need to be sensible with the money to get out of ffp.

I for one feel a little more at ease after the statement, yes disappointed but definitely more understanding of the situation. The way I read it is with the sale of jl and kd in the form of the present deal, it appears we will be in a cost neutral position when we spend the 7 mill on a couple/few players. With regards to landsbury, if he is even considering going and has not taken a deal on the table then he obviously isn't showing the commitment that us fans want. Good player but if their heart isn't in it they soon become average. The sponsorship isn't really a surprise, the figures mentioned were disproportionate to a championship club as most of us thought but it wouldn't surprise me if they were correct as an offer when we won promotion. Hopefully fawaz is plugging the financial gap between now and then, knowing bigger things are coming. Clear some space both player wise and financially so we can get a more balanced and lean squad. Keep the faith everybody fawaz is not going to flush his money down the pan.

Not sure in the point of taking up 2 loan places for players we already had. As I understand we can only have a limited number and that restricts us in regards to other positions still lacking. To appease everyone, including SP there better be some good news big permanent sigings in the offing.

{Ed034's Note - we would need to replace them, so isn't it better to bring in two players that will not need time to settle in??
