I,ve warned you all before , one swallow and all that !
Whoa
CARLO

Carlo
We have got the albatrosses of previous ownerships and stupid management appointments off our backs. Karanka has got rid of the duff playing legacy. We are not a nesting ground for swallows but are building a Penguin family nest where all members are nurtured and grow together!
Time to stop the self doubts and petty sniping to get fully behind the management team and squad. We are finally going places with AK top half finish this season, major investment and sort out in the summer followed by a top six finish May 2019.
Sorted.

I said it before the Hull game, play Lolly and Dejagah if fit on the wings and give whoever is up front some bloody service!
Fox needs shipping out, a half decent Sunday morning winger would do him. Mancienne, Dowell, Osbourne and Worrall all need some time out of the starting eleven, they are mentally shot. We've signed all these players as Karanka quite rightly has seen how average and mentally weak our old squad was and is.
Select the new players if fit at Burton as they would have to be awful to be any worse than the current bunch of under performing players who pick up a great salary, for what!
If it was any other industry you would have trading standards involved for the inept standard of footballer representing the great club, that is Nottingham Forest.

Wild dog burton have goals in their forward line up we don’t the best we can hope for against them is a draw I’m hoping our goals come from the midfield players and without any doubt would give Guediora the captains arm band and also prey for a miracle that we can get 3 points

2.) 11 Feb 2018 22:39:55
Skeggs the whole team is lacking goals the biggest worry Saturday is the lack of confidence throughout the team.
The ball is their enemy at the moment non of them want it and they make basic mistakes all over the park.

I am a little perplexed by the calling for gedioura as skipper and saviour. Don't get me wrong on his day and focussed he was a force. But was he not mardy and disruptive when things did not go his way first time around. I remember him leaving us very late in the transfer window arriving at palace, i'm sure, desperate to get away fro us. Has he been a revelation elsewhere. Maybe at 32 he has it in him for a last hoorah. let's hope so.

What I don't understand is the difference between fitness and match fitness. The lads are all professionals and obtain fitness by training daily, but there's only one way to get match fitness. And that's not by playing in the U23's. Or am I missing something here?

If players are fit this is the team I'd like to see on Saturday.

Pantillimon
Lichaj Mancienne Worrall Colback
Bridcutt Watson
Lolley Pep Dejagah
Velios

Smith
Tomlin
Dowell
Osborne
Murphy
Figueredo
Cash

Happy new year all you red dogs!

I really hope Forest appoint Nigel Clough, not for romantic reasons but purely on all the alternatives mentioned I think he would be the best choice, here's why in my humble opinion. He has always had next to no funds to spend. At Derby he was fire fighting after relegation from the Premier League and steadied the ship after having to sell the big wage earners. At the end when he was sacked they were still mid table. At Burton he has got them punching above their weight with next to no funds on 4,000 gates.
If we did appoint him I think the majority of all fans would have goodwill towards him, there would be an air of optimism around the club and most importantly the gates would stay high.
On a football note most importantly with more funds at his disposal (hopefully) than he has had before, then I think he would make us very hard to beat and in time make us competitive at the right end of the table.
Sorry to go on but I don't want any quick fixes I just want the right man for the job who knows what the Championship is about.
Come on Forest!

If his last name wasn't clough we wouldn’t even be looking or speaking about him. his stats are rubbish and his claim to fame as a manager is keeping burton up.is that something we are looking for. like I say if his name was smith and someone mentioned him with those stats it would be dismissed immediately.

2.) 06 Jan 2018 22:29:00
His claim is getting Burton from non league into the league in the first place, then establishing them there then getting to the championship and then keeping them there.
That's some rubbish Sutton.

3.) 06 Jan 2018 23:01:32
Sutton I disagree with you but that's your opinion. Clough all day long with all the candidates being mentioned. The last thing we need is a foreign manager! And no I'm not being foreingnist, lol.

4.) 07 Jan 2018 17:01:07
Like the others I don't think Clough will be given enough time?
At the minute the manager's job here is a poison chalice I'm afraid to say.
Hopefully the right appointment will be made swiftly allowing him to use this window to get a player or 2 in and ship out the deadwood.
Fingers crossed it is the right man for the job?

We played really well against Boro and on another day we would have been celebrating 3 points. Against Huddersfield they enjoyed more of the ball without opening us up, yes we were more defence minded but we nearly came away with 3 points. We are playing as a team and no one can say the players aren't all putting in a shift for each other, I think that's called progress...We all want Forest back in the big time, it will happen if the team keep progressing the way they are whether its this season or next, but one things for sure if we keep chopping and changing managers every 6 months we will be destined to stay in the championship or lower for an awful long time. Keep the faith and COME ON YOU REDS!!!!

The gap between Ogrady & central midfield opened up again last night. Seeing as that was a big problem pre QPR I can't say that's progress. Ogrady might as well have been Blackstock last night. We look twice as dangerous with midfield pushing on.

2 points dropped through being over defensive.

2.) 25 Sep 2015 17:23:08
Agreed. I'd like to see us a bit bolder with williams playing. Ward was too defensive too not supporting o Grady. Always said it though, that gap is created by mancienne in Holding midfield. He simply is not good enough distribution wise and everyone else drops to accommodate. Thought Lansbury was quality holding the other day and why we don't continue with him there is beyond me. Williams can fill the attacking gap left in midfield surely

3.) 25 Sep 2015 18:12:45
We have without doubt improved from the beginning of the season and you cannot fault the effort and commitment shown by the players. However,I'm afraid this is as far as DF will ever take us. He is,and always will be a defensive minded manager. We looked solid enough but by sitting back you are always vulnerable to a late equiliser. Think Bolton a few weeks ago and Blackpool last seaon. Better teams than that will punish us if we sit so deep and keep giving them the ball.Every now and again we show we can play the ball around and pose a threat,we just don't see it often enough. For a so called footballing side can anyone tell me how often one of the back 4 received the ball to feet from our keeper or was I imagining them all running away and Dorius lumping it 60 yards for Ogrady to battle for. If we have the ball the opposition ain't going to hurt us. I find it really frustrating as I think this squad is capable of so much more.

4.) 25 Sep 2015 21:08:07
I agree we have improved It seems instead of lumping big balls upto ma when he was with us we are now doing the same to o grady our midfield was being bypassed by the long balls , yet when we do play it on the floor we look so much more dangerous I hope we keep on improving.

5.) 25 Sep 2015 22:40:28
although I agree with you about us looking a lot more dangerous when we play the ball out from the back, you have to give a lot of credit to Huddersfield off the ball.

they closed down quickly and in packs, something that neither qpr or Middlesbrough did. so I would say it is more of a good game plan by Huddersfield than a lack of passing ability from forest but second half we did sit too deep, as soon as we conceded the midfield pushed 20 yards further forward when defending so don't know why they couldn't do that in the beginning but oh well decent point away.

Also glad that it wasn't Wilson who deflected that shot into the back of our net or the Wilson out brigade would be showing their faces again. COYR slowly getting there, just in time for the derby game.

6.) 28 Sep 2015 22:42:35
Very few strikers score with their backs to goal. Seems to be a minor issue with us. Britt faces forward. It's the way forward. Get well sooner....

Ronaldo without a doubt for me,rather than messi. I simplify things in my own head, and if I was playing football or going to war I'd pick Ronaldo first!!
As for Forest can't wait for the new season, rather than just treading water we look like we are going for it. After so many seasons of disappointment, come on you red dogs let's be glass half full and get behind this great club of ours, and you never know it might just happen!! If it doesn't we cut our cloth and start again.
Come on you reds, onwards and upwards!!!!

Doesn't matter how much fitter and wiser he could become if he hasn't got the will and desire.
Would fit in well at Arsenal.
