So a difficult day for the team today but resilient . Similar to Boro game except we survived the penalty.
Lots of grumbles that we didn't thrash the divisions bottom team but all games are tough.

Wigan for all their struggles have taken points off Forest, Derby, Huddersfield, WBA, Bristol C, Hull and Cardiff.

Its going to be a scrap lads.

Personally were clutching at straws they have only won 4 games all season one of them was against us lol, if they had any kind of quality in the final 3rd today would of been another Sheffield Wednesday, if we have any kind of desire on the top 6 then yes we should be thrashing them, to be totally dominated by a team that hasn't won for 12 games can no how be made to look positive in your list there is 1 side in the top 6 being wba.

2.) 29 Dec 2019 21:01:43
Trentender. We are pretty woeful, particularly at home. We scrape games. Wigan are bottom of the league and yet they dominated us and but for a poor penalty should have taken a point. Cash was the only one at the races today defensively. You can't be a forest fan and say you are happy to watch that dross. How many managers and transfer windows do we need to fome up with the same conclusion?

3.) 29 Dec 2019 22:36:02
Figuereido was the best defender by far, did everything right and kept the back four in line.

4.) 29 Dec 2019 23:00:07
Totally agree. Too negative approach always. Something needs to change. Hard work watching forest at home despite the full houses!

5.) 30 Dec 2019 01:06:27
Yep I'd sack the coach, first six months in charge and we are so bad were 5th. 🤩🤩🤩.

6.) 30 Dec 2019 06:48:18
Too much bloody gloom and despair! Yes we got a lucky 3 points yesterday, but for those of us at KCOM on Thursday we saw a really energetic Forest beat Hull convincingly. Don’t underestimate what that took out of the squad! I believe SL knows that he can only rely on a relatively small squad and there needs to be more moving out of the dross this January and reinvestment in a small number of quality additions. Hefele, Benaloune, Carvalho, Mir, Muric must go!

7.) 30 Dec 2019 11:20:45
To be honest, if we won the prem some on here would still be moaning, that's just the way it is.

Good 3 points yesterday, back to back wins against potential banana skin opponents. Well done Samba on your penalty save.

Hopefully have Sow back for the next league game.

8.) 30 Dec 2019 14:46:59
We don't have a relatively small squad Tyke, it is huge. LOOOOOOL.

9.) 30 Dec 2019 18:38:50
RedCyclist. I said he could only “rely” on a small squad, there are far too may he cannot rely on!

10.) 30 Dec 2019 19:03:43
Tyke, I'd agree he can't rely on Mir or Muric. Silva and Carvalho are good on their day but totally unreliable. He also hasn't been able to rely on injured players. However there are some decent players he hasn't used or barely used at all yet.

Benalouane is decent but worrying on discipline. Jacob is a good player. Tyler Walker is a prolific goalscorer and not even in the squad. Brennan Johnson is a very good player and wouldn't have to do much to turn out to be more consistent than Silva and/ or Carvalho.

28 Nov 2018 22:17:44
Well, we will never score goals because AK is defensive minded and we won't be entertained. need a new manager, be gone by international break.
Oh and fancy paying 6 million for a crap striker.
Some advocated patience . vindicated I feel.

Trentender

1.) 28 Nov 2018 23:35:30
Yes, it looks like we have the defence sorted as well. lol

Rafik Djebboue to sign this week.

Trentender

1.) Would be a great addition 39 goals in 56 games.

2.) Billy's back tomorrow

Listening to Talk Sport ( again ) today and listened to the South American football correspondant talk about our new lad from Paraguay. Not a world beater but very usefull and Forest have done very well to get him. Whole hearted/ aggresive in his approach to the game. Tough tackler and got a good engine. Loves putting in the work box to box.
Sounded very positive.

Trentender

1.) 01 Sep 2021 19:37:54
Can't be any good Trent, never heard of him😉.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 19:44:34
Braian does sound a good player which is what we all want however he was never going to be a world beater as he would have far better suitors than ourselves.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 20:04:48
Braian is not a world beater, he's a very naughty boy! Sorry, life of Brian one of my favourite ever films.

4.) 01 Sep 2021 21:14:31
MV your right I forgot lol.

01 Sep 2021 13:08:10
I know we didn't get a top striker but who was avilable that would guarantee 20 plus goals a season and his parent club happy to let him go? Now looking at the squad I really do think we have a decent keeper to call on and a decent defence. Midfield is stronger and has more pace. the front two i'm not sure of but can honestly say I haven't seen anyone craft regular chances for them maybe now that will change.
Re the manager though i'm classed as a happy clapper I do get frustrated by the manager and his tactics but after seeing the change of tactics in second half at Derby, maybe just maybe with the new players he will let the team off the leash a little.

Trentender

1.) 01 Sep 2021 13:48:29
Hey Trent I know we have crossed words and I know you're frustrated.
If Hughton changes his tactics then maybe results will come?
End of the day you're a Forest fan like the rest of us and we all want want's best for the club.

01 Sep 2021 09:48:11
Lets get some perspective on this transfer window. We all want Forest to sign super star strikers but they won't come to the Championship. We actually pulled out of the Maja deal due to his on going back problem so it wasnt him changing his mind.
The times are tough for everyone.
Look at the clubs relegated and on parachute payments.
WBA 5 signings, 4 loans and 1 free
and that's after getting £17 million for a player they sold.
Sheff UTD, 5 loans
and that's after receiving £25 million for a player.
Fulham signed 2 players total £20 million and 1 free, received £4million for player sold
So they have gone for it.
Not that much money spent is there?
Lets look at clubs thought to be challenging promotion :
Barnsley, 3 players fee undisclosed, (1 from Belgium,1 from France ),1 loan and 1 free
Bournemouth :2 undisclosed,3 free, 2 loans
Bristol C, 2 undisclosed, 2 free
Cardiff : 1 undisclosed,3 free, 1 loan
Boro : 2 players £7, 6 free, 3 loans
QPR 4 players undisclosed, 3 free, 3 loan
Stoke : 3 players £4million,3 free, 2 loan
Swansea : 4 players undisclosed,2 free, 2 loan

So not that much money about and everybody gambling on loans and frees so don't think club warrants the moaning.

Jeez! . You must have a lot of time to kill mate 😂😂🤩.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 11:21:45
Fair point Trentender and well put. 👍🏻.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 12:04:51
Simple point is. Keep best players = Spend less.

Moaning that we didn't waste £3M plus wages for years on ANOTHER injury prone player is plain STUPIDITY.

4.) 01 Sep 2021 12:30:15
Ive got the time, when grand kids aren't about as i'm retired.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 12:52:12
Good for you mate. very good post BTW.

01 Sep 2021 05:25:15
Well a pat on the back for the owners for not selling the crown jewels as many predicted and also put his hand in pocket to fund signings. In current financial climate to be applauded. Even loan signings have fees attached and wage costs .
The additions are all young and attack minded so maybe the forwards will get a few chances created for them and help them score.

Trentender

1.) 01 Sep 2021 06:18:07
Pat on the back for what exactly?
These signings will get Forest nowhere.
A striker that has not scored, the usual cast off from the Greeks first love who is 3rd choice and a South American who unproven.
Yep great signings.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 07:29:57
Fawaz you can't possibly know that these will all be bad signings.
What you do know is hughton will fail anyway.
Let's give the players a chance first? Then see what the new manager can do.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 08:13:07
Well said trent. To think the rinsing out is nearly complete and we did not sell the two players of value. Is the squad stronger? To replace bong, yates and jack is relatively straight forward and I hope we have done that. Hughton did say when he came to the club that ALL ins and outs were to be his decision. Whether he scouted these players is doubtful but he will have sanctioned. I hope the words creating competion in certain areas means replacing.

4.) 01 Sep 2021 08:16:22
FF please. Silva has a poor record.
We get a 3rd choice from Greece and a 21 year old who nobody has seen and will probably need a ski suit when plays in winter.
Uninspiring for a poor division one club.
I'm sorry FF but Forest and it's pygmys haven't learnt and are repeating things over and over again.
I'm all for giving players a chance but come on let's be realistic here.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 08:32:06
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Have you had one too many drinks Rutland?
The competition will be to define who is the worst player at Forest.

6.) 01 Sep 2021 08:42:12
Trentender, your just comedy gold . No sales means no signings . Andre gray and Troy deeney would have been signings. As it goes I’d rather keep the young players and build back sustainably from league one, there can however be no pat on the back for an administration that’s overseen an absolute cluster. Hats off to you the mate - cracking post - it’s what this sites all about 😂.

we do need a striker but in the mean time i'm sure we will set up differently against other sides. We have played 2 of the favourites for promotion and away to one of them, its all about tactics for each game.

Just because we have several centre backs doesn't mean that position isn't a problem. Obviously the manager doesn't think they are good enough. The problem will be moving on the not wanted players.

Norwich got Pukki for free and look what he did
Sheff Utd got McGoldrick for free and Sharp for next to nowt so there are bargains out there, big money does not always guarantee results.
Im just hoping the scouts out there are doing their job.
The last week of close season is always busy with transfers, looking forward to who we get and the start of the season.

Agree need a quality goal scorer that can convert more chances than Grabban . In the past we have had great teams on paper and failed miserably so maybe with players that have gone under the radar is the way forward. Teams like Brentford, Swansea, Wolves have signed players nobody had heard of and ended up playing fantastic football and aside from Brentford gone up. i'm not sure what over whelming players people expect us to realistically go for?

So the slagging off the manager even before he is confirmed has sarted with ridiculous suggestions that the owner tells the manager to play defensive negative football which is what he wants and Cooper fits in to that mantra.
Lets look at the evidence why Swansea maybe changed style.
Some Swansea fans say the football was negative under Cooper, but what they don't say is that for a number of years they were spoiled with a very good attacking team that was gradually taken apart. In Coopers reign they
spent in 20-21 £1.8m on players sold £4.6m of players
spent in 19-20 £0.5m on players sold £35.7m of players.
in 18-19 just before Cooper took over they sold £46m worth of players. that's a masive change. Look what losing Cash, Silva and Watson did to us.
AND STILL they REACHED 2 PLAY OFFS.
seems to me that is a fantastic acheivment.

does it matter when confirmed. I suppose it gives us options to cover injuries, suspensions and loss of form and prevents having to go to bomb squad for cover re above.

totally agree.
the remmit recently has been to reduce the bloated squad and reduce the average age. Made big in roads to that end and 5 more of bomb squad will be gone next June.
Many have advocated we take a risk on young hungry players. well with the academy products coming through and these signings we may just unearth a gem or two. No matter we haven't heard of them, we aren't in the know re world football. We had heard of Arter, Freeman and look what happened there.
Agree a good striker would have been nice but everyone is looking for them. i'm just hoping that we now have the creativity to atleast create some chances for front lads, putting them away is another matter.
Re Tunisian lad. Dad Gereman, brought up in Germany and played in their top two leagues so culture shock/ climate should not be an issue.
