Paul Hart to be appointed as the new Head of Recruitment for both the Academy and First Team Squad.

Sir Brian Clough

1.) That was quick. He was only just released by Charlton.

2.) It would be good to have him back. do you know this or are you putting 2 and 2 together as Carlton have just released him, after announcing their restructure?

3.) You don't have to be release to get another job. lol. if they knew he was being released they would of already spoke.
Is this the same sir Brian clough off another reds forum?

{Ed034's Note - they changed the role he did and got asked to apply for it, which he did and got turned down.

4.) This would be a fantastic addition, Paul Hart is a good football man and would be welcomed with open arms. Hope this is true.

5.) Great new if true welcome home Harty

6.) He would make a very good Dof if we could tempt him to come back too us.

7.) Fingers crossed on this one, the knowledge and experience we are looking like having in place behind the scenes and on the coaching team is immense. The structure to the club will be very important over the next few years as we aim to get in the prem and more importantly stay in it.

8.) Thought Gary Brazil was head of academy etc. bit harsh on him if it's true!after all didn't sp say earlier he will simply step back into his old job at end of season?

9.) Paul Hart would be a welcome addition. Not sure what role he would come in to fulfil but head of recruitment would be good role or him.
I can help thinking that his coaching abilities should be tapped in some way.

All in all the team Stuart Pearce is putting together is shaping up well.

10.) Up the Forest.
Its a different Sir Brian Clough from the other one as he spoke about it and mentioned that others are using the name. Hardly surprising, its very catchy!

11.) People are reading this the wrong way, as I understand it that the rol of head of recruitment is to be like the head scout used to be. IE going all over the world to look at promising youngsters and senior players to assess if they fit the type of player that would fit the forest role.
This role would not involve coaching any player as I understand the situation.

12.) Gary Brazil is runs the academy and it's coaching operations.

Paul Hart will be Head of Recruitment for the club as a whole. Pearce has spoken of his desire to bring the Academy and 1st team closer. In essence, Paul's role would be half of a director or football role and half as a head of scouting role.

To me, it sounds like the perfect way to run the show. This would tie in well with a CEO and Finance Director too.

No, sorry, don't post anywhere else.

13.) All sounds quite exciting, hope this happens. didn't quite realise how bad Billy was running the show. Strange set up.

According to Sky, we are the 13th best team in England over the last 50 years. Derby are 20th! haha.

At the moment we're about 35th,that's what matters

2.) 26 Apr 2015 15:43:14
at the moment we seem to be going nowhere fast.

we're going backwards

all we do is look backwards.

sad state of affairs when teams like Brentford can taunt us with 'your not famous anymore'

our only claim to fame is not being famous anymore.

on the flip side we've competed ok with the top six this season but or poor results lately has to be a concern moving forward surely?

It only highlights how good we were during the reign of the master!
Pre Cloughie we hadn't tasted much success then only spending 3 years in the top flight since 93 and dropping to the 3rd tier of English football. Surprised we're so high up!

Matt Grimes from Exeter would be a cracking signing for us if we could get in quickly and do the deal.

Could be the next Paterson! : )

It is Kieran Richardson from Villa. Predominantly plays left back but also can play wide left midfield or wing back. He isn't getting enough game time at Villa and wants to move on loan until the end of the season.

If a player gets injured on international duty then the FA has to compensate the club. I think that Blackpool should have to compensate us for his injury. That pitch was an absolute disgrace and led to Hobbs' injury. They should have to cover his medical costs at least. There should be an official enquiry about the pitch because it is not suitable for this league. Blackpool find themselves at the wrong end of the table and desperate for points so they have basically ploughed their pitch so teams cannot play passing football, just in the attempt to scrape points here and there. It is as clear as day!

The football league really should be looking into this!!!!

Sir Brian Clough

{Ed001's Note - their pitch has been awful for years, I really hope your tongue was in your cheek there...}

I doesn't make any sense to sell players at the moment. Even if someone bought him for 50 million, we will still but under the embargo because we breached FFP. It doesn't matter how much profit we move into, we cannot sign players for a transfer fee. In that case, we should keep a hold of our players and build with what we have. We should play Tyler later on this season once we are safe so he gets some game time and see how he does in preseason.

Its the same reason why we didn't accept any of the other offers for Lansbury or Antonio, both of which we for 4m. Why would we do it with Tyler?

Contract renewals are not restricted by FFP Transfer Embargos.

The only issue would be if he did what Moousi did a few years ago and allowed his contract to expire before signing a new one. Technically the player becomes a free agent and is a new signing and therefore must be paid no more than 10k.

No need to panic though guys - I have it on very very good authority that his contract extension is in hand and it, in fact, includes him becoming involved in the youth team coaching setup with Jack Lester upon his retirement as a player.
