I hope lansbury stays but if a big offer and luvrative contract is put on the table with a chance of prem footy i'm sure most of us would do one. I just want an end to the endless dross of the lansbury saga now.

If he stays then great but if he goes good luck Henry son. i'm more inclined to believe he'll be gone very shortly as is always the case in our crumbling club. Never surprised anymore and won't be disappointed, used it to now. We being kicked in the teeth so much we must be nearing denture time now.

Lansbury has been threatening to leave the club for a couple of seasons now and only starts putting in a real shift in the lead up to January to put himself in the shop window. 3m is very good money for him. As long as it's reinvested.

2.) 07 Jan 2017 09:33:22
Every transfer window we have the Henri lansbury circus tbh I'm sick of players like this, just shows player power, players like this don't give two chickens about the club or supporters just themselves, let him go n get decent money in and replace him, let's face he's on sidelines most of time either suspended or injured or bottom lip out, we want players that will play for the shirt

3.) 07 Jan 2017 10:08:57
With way fawas as ruined our club. Can u blame Lansbury or any other player for wanting out. But regards Lansbury he could have left before. But stuck around. If we can get 3/4m for him it's good money. He had a very bad back injury couple seasons back. He's inconsistent misses games through suspension Yeh very good player on his day. Cash an osbournes our future. But if it was me personally. It's obvious fawas is going to pocket Lansbury money aswel that's why theirs been hold up. So I'd refuse to sell him. Let him leave in summer for nowt. Just so fawas doesn't get more

4.) 07 Jan 2017 11:00:24
Think of it the other way Marco the other players will be excited about the takeover and what might happen with the ambition of the new owners

5.) 07 Jan 2017 11:32:18
Hope they are. Need to keep the britts cash osbournes pinnilis. Just need a proven manager.

6.) 07 Jan 2017 11:51:48
Britt the bench warmer? What use is he to us? He's clearly never going to be match fit in a regular basis. Once agin we've got the spine of the team permanently out Injired. The players who strong and resilient like OB and Antonio we sell on. Let's face facts we are in a right mess. The ones who have talent are always injured. The ones who stay fit are utter crap.

Well Newcastle at the top end doing well and us near the bottom aint, didn't expect anything else really. Not many punters would have had money on forest apart from reds fans who obviously let hearts rule heads.

That said i think the quicker new owners come in things might settle. It obviously affecting everybody. From bad passes to wrong passes, wrong tactics, wrong selection, poor atmosphere, poor crowds, injuries, poor ownership. it's bound to affect the whole club negatively and everything smacks of desperation.

I could be wrong and maybe the manager just isn't goodenough and can't handle the English mentality, way of doing things and obviously the English championship. But as i said before his job would be easier if he had good bosses to work under.

I do think if we had a few more points he might get his chance but being half way through the season, how many games can he be given? If they gave him ten games and we still where we are there, won't be many games for a new man to settle a team down and the worse could happen. I fear montaniers days may be numbered.

I can't believe you have doubts about the manager, i will tell you he ain't good enough. He has no control over the players whatsoever, how many players have been booked for dissent and been sent off now! . a few games back we had players arguing over a penalty kick and he was quite happy about this. There is three very good managers out there at the mo big Sam, Alan Pardew and Gary Rowett all managers that will speak their mind and probably get the defence sorted!

{Ed001's Note - Allardyce is at Palace now.}

2.) 31 Dec 2016 10:02:00
Spot on ricky 1 point from 15 no sign of improvement any other club would have got rig by now let's see how many turn up on monday barnsley have sold all there tickets and have asked for more trickies really need to step up to the plate and start to deliver the goods.

3.) 31 Dec 2016 12:34:07

Can u imagine if all else fails and we end up in league 1. Even further out of the wilderness with sparse crowds and an atmosphere u could slice with an axe. I would just like a couple of a seasons of calm and normality even if it means mid table finishes in the championship with a half decent home record. I know the americans have big plans with big money but we need some serious stability from the groundsman to the first team squad. i'd take a couple seasons of young hungry players from forest and lower league players looking to improve their potential at a higher level, no ego's just hard working, fan loving players willing to put Nottingham forest back on the map. Please god give us battered fans a break, I think we've had our fair share of torture. Maybe jack lester is manager of the future think he is a decent honest fellow ya never know maybe it could be his calling.

Just out of interest since fawaz has been at forest how much have we recouped in player sales and how much of that has been spent. Wud also be nice to know how much we saved on these players wages.

Rocky roo roo

1.) 06 Jan 2017 14:33:27
He's spent a fortune. Far more than we will probably ever know. That's why I'm really surprised if the delay is down to him. He's spent so long looking for a buyer you'd have thought he'd be desperate to hand it over asap.

2.) 06 Jan 2017 15:56:14
Fawas as only finance new players wages. All players signing on fees have been paid by selling our best players. Or. Darlow lechelas 7m paid for Britt and Antonio. Antonios 7m and illy burkes 13m don't know we're that's gone lol.

3.) 06 Jan 2017 16:34:52
So if money from burke and antonio lines fawaz pocket that's twenty million plus fifty million for sale of club into his pocket. If this is the case fawaz gets seventy million of his 100 million bak. So he spent 30 million of his own dollar in his ill fated few years. Not a lot really in todays crazy financial footballing world. Plus recouped wages from big earners like wilson and mackay. If he retains 20 percent of the club and we do become more successful he will surely recoup the rest back plus more. Why doesn't he stop playing silly dangerous games, if he truly felt anything for us as fans and a club then he'd sign those damn papers. He needs to stop torturing thousands of hard working loyal fans and do the decent thing. I mean surely all of this is damaging his reputation and some businesses mite think twice before having any dealings with the nut job of a bloke.

05 Jan 2017 19:09:30
Incredible wat is wrong with fawaz the man is as bonkers as a cat at a fish farm. He just needs a big pair of boots and a red nose and he can join the rest of the clowns at the circus. Look he tried, fair enuff but failed miserably, as a business man he should know that not all ventures end up successful. He could leave with more dignity and the tiny bit of respect he mite have left if he just signed the FRIGGIN PAPERS. Come on man stop playing games with Nottingham forest and feckin sign. AHHHHHHHRRRRRGGGGG.

Rocky Be patient while his family clear up the mess off the magic carpet and swallow their pride. Fawaz is a little "off his head" following the family meeting but the family will not look a gift "donkey" in the mouth!

02 Jan 2017 19:40:39
I'm afraid that's possibly the nail in the coffin for montanier. With his inexperience of english football and the mess we are in how can he possibly do even a galf decent job. Everything is desperate, tactics, substitutions, the way players are playing.

Its really sad to see us in such a mess. This managers job has been impossible for a long time, whether previous managers would have been better if we were run properley we will never know but surely to god it could have made a few things easier for them. The weight of expectation around their neck before they've even managed their first game is immense so trying to solve the puzzle that is forest is near on impossible.

Please god no more inexperienced managers. No sherwood, no matteo and no karl robinson. Been there done that didn't work. Mcarthy turned us down for a gud reason but with his experience could have got us top 6. Warnock with his experience too not saying they would but they understand the league and what it takes to be up there. Reckon we should coax ferguson out of retirement even at 75 he'd do a decent job, anyone steps out of line he could throw his zimmer frame at them.

Rocky roo roo

1.) 02 Jan 2017 22:06:03
Japp Stam seems to be making a good go of it and I don't exactly see him having Championship experience. I really don't think it's going to matter whose in charge until the club is sorted out.

2.) 02 Jan 2017 23:57:23
No point in replacing the tyres when the engines failed!

3.) 03 Jan 2017 13:32:26
Not one shot on target the whole game! But if fans expect another change of manager to solve the problems they are deluded. We need better players. Hope that is possible in this window when takeover completed. If not . . . !

31 Dec 2016 20:59:48
Never known such dark times at forest even non league clubs run better than us. Also take the example of Bournemouth bedding down nicely in the prem, with small crowds running within their limits, not the place you'd want to go for a result including teams fighting for top position, just ask Liverpool. And then there's forest with an owner acting like a right prat. Its getting almost embarrassing to say I support forest.

Rocky roo roo

1.) 31 Dec 2016 22:42:40
Running within there limits? is that why they had a £7millon fine for breaching ffp?

2.) 01 Jan 2017 09:33:43
Bournemouth within there limits. ain't they minus 15m on transfers and paying for example Wilshere champions league like player wages for his loan on top of a ridiculous loan fee.

3.) 01 Jan 2017 11:32:56
Love the disagrees on my post here. bournmouth were fined £7.6 million for breaching ffp rules. there loss was £38.4 million for the last season they were in the championship!

4.) 01 Jan 2017 18:56:31
Are you getting confused by what is a fact and what's not a fact again UTF?

5.) 01 Jan 2017 23:00:26
I no what a fact is and what an opinion is m, some can and some can't see the difference.

It isn't the formation my friend, we could play eight up front and have twenty players playing and the results wudnt be gud. Confidence is shot to pieces shattered into a thousand pieces. I bet most of the players are fed up and want to do one. Can u imagine the dread they must feel everytime they stand in the tunnel. The silence on the coach home must be awful. Worst season ever.

It isn't just monty. The whole club is in disarray the negativity surrounding us is the worst I've known in over 35 years. Only one shot at goal with two decent strikers up front says it all. Wigan not one in seven are pish poor but every team that plays us senses we have zero confidence and attack us like vultures, we are more than a wounded animal. We need a clean break from the ownership, this is wat i don't get with fawaz if he liked us even just a little bit surely he'd want to sell as quickly as possible. He must see the hurt this is causing but stands by and grins, very smug, the man is evil, souless and has a heart of stone. Surely no-one is going to stick up for this man anymore. I don't care if he put a billion quid into our club fans want honesty, integrity, passion and someone to pull those strings properly, not undermine everything at every oppurtunity. We have got to be the biggest laughing stock in footballing terms worldwide. Saddest time I've ever known.

If lansbury goes shaggers he never had forest at heart and is only after money he knows going from forest to shaggers is wrong, wrong, wrong. If he goes elsewhere then fair enuff. Wud like to see us keep cash and Brereton.

Is it a case of fawaz trying to make bak sum dollar. Is a shame we ain't in the prem as over the years we have produced sum cracking youngsters and would have stood a better chance of keeping them. Too much depressing news once again.

Lansbury overrated? he's one of our best players. At the end of the day lansbury is 26 and can see wat a mess we are in. Since he's been with us most of his time has been spent playing for a club that his been in a right old mess and he's stuck around when he had chances to go. I don't blame him at all, he's got to think of his future and with the mess we're in who can blame him for leaving it mite take new owners a couple seasons or more to stabilise us and get us moving in the right direction. If he goes I'll be glad because it got a bit boring hearing the lansbury rumours every summer and january. Funny ya know when we playing Newcastle the other day, I was thinking about all the hoo har lansbury caused when they played at our place and thought I reckon newvastle mite put in for lansbury the type of match winner they'd go for. Low and behold they linked with him, should have put a tenner on it.
