18 games left We going to need to win at least 10 and avoid losing all other 8. To make play offs. Mathematically it's possible
But without massive backing this window as we still need:
Centre midfielder?
Plus injured players back.
We won't do it.

Red always

1.) 20 Jan 2019 14:03:21
Realistically,72 plus points is generally the target for the last play off place. Its a tall order to say the least.Hope Martin can turn it around quickly but will probably need until next season to get the team playing as a cohesive unit. Its such a shame that again we're nearing February and face the prospect of another season fizzling out.Im still trying to be optimistic but games are getting fewer. Will be there to cheer my team on come what may however.COYRs!

15 Jan 2019 00:14:37
Most fans would agree. We need the following positions brought in at the very least.
Centre half
We will soon find out in this window if O'Neil is being backed. And what direction and style of play we can expect to see.

Red always

1.) 15 Jan 2019 05:12:38
not sure we need a winger but def keeper maybe 2 centre backs, a left back and a quick forward

2.) 15 Jan 2019 06:33:08
Left back gives central cover with Robinson. If we get another in that puts us at 5. Dawson, Heff, Toby and Fox 1 suspended, 3 injured. Fairly unlucky but any more and they need to be better than our current crop, though some would say that’s easy!

As far as I’m concerned a left back and a goal keeper would be worth the investment tbh.

3.) 15 Jan 2019 11:17:50
We have 2 quick forwards. We have Cummings and Walker. Appiah is a quick winger. We have got Jordan Wright as a keeper and a scandinavian lad we haven't blooded even during a central defensive injury crisis.
If we won't let these lads play then let's just scrap the academy.

4.) 15 Jan 2019 13:46:37
Why would we scrap the academy? Its a money making machine.

5.) 15 Jan 2019 15:07:18
The academy will cost a lot to run but I’d say the 20 million from Brereton and burke has created a decent profit. Not exactly tearing things up right now are they? In fact other Morgan (who we had years of football from) are there any released or sold academy players who’ve had glittering careers ? I don’t know the answer to that question , it’s a question not a statement.

6.) 15 Jan 2019 16:08:28
Sorry mate Jason Cummings is definitely not quick

13 Jan 2019 10:03:21
According to news someone called Jose anigo as joined for a month to oversee 4 transfers. A keeper centre back winger forward
Please no more unproven foreigners
Westwood for keeper
Big Wes centre half?
Lowe for winger or adomah
Vydra forward.

Red always

1.) 13 Jan 2019 11:24:15
Anigo is a French manager with a very uninspiring CV last managed in Greece.

We have a new DoF so we should not need help with transfers if he is any good unless he has been appointed to do his old job to fix the computers in the office?

2.) 13 Jan 2019 11:41:25
Report says a GK, def, mid and a winger. Aren't we full up in midfield? Why a winger we nèd a fast strong down the middle striker.

3.) 13 Jan 2019 12:24:52
Jose Anigo hasn't been hired to oversee domestic transfers, that's for sure, unless Mr Marinakis is completely inept. It would appear that the board forced AK in to a corner and expected him to bow to their way of working, he honourable stuck to his morals and walked away, the problem is, it wouldn't appear the board expected him to make that decision so have been caught off guard scrambling for further representatives to do their dealings. Quite a turbulant time for forest but i'm hoping it's just a bump in the road and the board can redeem themselves very soon with a solid manager appointment, and some signing who come good.

4.) 13 Jan 2019 12:47:23
Gazza not a word from the chairman on anything !!!!!

5.) 13 Jan 2019 12:57:52
Gazza what I don’t get is when someone employs me to do a job , i expect to have to work in the manner they want the job doing, this is usually sorted when the job is accepted, why do football managers not expect to do the same?

6.) 13 Jan 2019 13:17:59
Most managers do Stevie, you don't see many criticise the owners or walk out,his mate had a habit of critising at man Utd and Chelsea though.🤔

7.) 13 Jan 2019 13:21:40
Big Sam till end of season

He will teach these muppets how to defend and offer him big bonus for promotion

8.) 13 Jan 2019 13:47:53
You see meaty that sort of short term contract could just be the answer, whoever the manager would be.

9.) 13 Jan 2019 14:06:28
Give big Sam a bonus for promotion?what message does that send out to the players who are doing the graft on the pitch, scoring the goals keeping clean sheets.he would have to offer all the players a big bonus as well.
Yes but his job title changed a few months into the season with someone else doing the dealings

10.) 13 Jan 2019 14:22:10
THis is why I say karanka as done the dirty on all us fans that gave him so much support when he was rumoured to be sacked, I didn’t like him or his negative tactics but he was our manager so I supported him, I’m fuming that he’s walked away from our great club cus he couldn’t be arsed to even give it a go with the dof even tho he was hired to win football matches that was it, we need a new man in by Monday to get us ready for Bristol oh n we will prob have to play 4 mids at the back lol good jobs we got about 20 of em lol

11.) 13 Jan 2019 15:43:06
Stevie - Karanka was set expectations when he joined - that was promotion in 2 and a half years. But the owners (just like previous owners) have got impatience far too soon, much to the detriment of the club. Sound familiar? Yes he's invested over 20m this season, but when 18m of that was on two players alone, you start to understand why we still do not have much depth in quality. Nowadays in the Championship, you can't throw a few mil at it and get instant success in return. In Greece you can, in Kuwait you can, but not in the Championship.

That's what these forgein owners struggle with. If marinakis had been an avid forest supporter as long as many of us, he would have been able to see that the progress the club had made since he's been in ownership had been quite rapid and that he was best to leave the formula alone and let the club keep growing with stability. Like I said in my earlier post, let's hope this is a bump in the road and not history repeating itself.

12.) 13 Jan 2019 17:21:46
Great post Gazza 👏🏻

13.) 13 Jan 2019 18:02:42
That seems to suit the krankie fans when you say he was given 2 years to sort the team out if I remember right the last 10 managers were given the same with a lot less money that's life and business get over it

14.) 13 Jan 2019 18:41:14
If i remember right, Warburton said the goalposts were moved during his stay with us.

15.) 13 Jan 2019 22:14:10
Is that why we started conceding more?🤣🤣🤣

16.) 14 Jan 2019 10:02:57
No that was Mills in defence.😁

11 Jan 2019 21:52:40
Let's say jokanovic gets job, he will only come if he's substantially backed, so who would we like as new signings.
Did Abraham play under jokanovic at Fulham last season.
He's not gone to wolves.
Loan rest season with permanent deal if we go up.
Westwood for keeper
Centre half if Dawson still struggling
Winger maybe Jamal Lowe.

Red always

1.) 11 Jan 2019 22:23:25
No Abraham didn't and I doubt we will sign hardly any,a change of formation at home would be enough to get the best out of this squad.
He's just the manager to give appiah a chance and you might see a resurgence in some of the players karanka discarded.
They'll be a few players happy he's gone and will want to prove a point.
All to play for a win tomorrow and two winnable games at home coming up.

2.) 12 Jan 2019 16:39:32
Abraham wouldn't get the clearance to play for a championship team. he's played for both Chelsea and villa this season.
They will change the goalpost for a prem move but not a champ move.
The fact is a farce.

24 Dec 2018 09:23:06
I'll be very annoyed if lolley leaves. Apparently he's happy here. He's got 3 year contract. If he did go prem it would only be a prem side in bottom half. So his short term future he'd be better off here.

But money talks and if he's offered twice the money he's getting here then who'd blame him. If this is case we should hold out for at least 15m because I'm sick of us having our pants pulled down by other clubs when selling our best players.

Red always

1.) 24 Dec 2018 09:34:53
This is the time for our new director of football to be earning stripes.

2.) 24 Dec 2018 12:43:01
Money talks as they say.
Selling our best player would just show our lack of ambition and taking steps backwards when we are moving forward.
Contracts are not worth the paper it's printed these day.
If a player signs for 3 years he should see out his contract.

3.) 24 Dec 2018 14:12:46
Red always I reckon we have had Blackburns pants down :)

4.) 24 Dec 2018 15:43:27
Agreed creepy1

5.) 24 Dec 2018 17:27:45
Creepy brereton ant really been given a chance there yet. To be fair But agree I hope we have for once.

What players would all of us advise O'Neil
To realistically go for. And which positions need strengthening?

Red always

1.) 20 Jan 2019 18:22:14
I'd tell him to get rid first bring bridcutt ward Clough appiah back and add a few signings.
Not sure how you shift the crap that karanka bought in this window though

2.) 20 Jan 2019 18:17:47
Just 3 new additions to get us firing again. A left back to push Robinson and cover, an experienced creative midfielder to challenge Carvalho and a goalscoring pacey winger so we can perm him with Lolley and Cash.

That will give us consistency at the back and going forward which fails when we have any of our fist string out or we cannot freshen up like for like!

3.) 20 Jan 2019 20:37:08
Another centre half then Robbo can concentrate.on being a left back
A pacey winger who can cross a ball, sell Osborn to pay for it,then a massive Clear out of dads army that karanka bought.

4.) 20 Jan 2019 21:11:12
Left back/right back/centre half/Winger

5.) 20 Jan 2019 21:12:47

19 Jan 2019 17:12:53
I hope the owner isn't still demanding top 6.
Cos O'Neil is going to need a few games to see who he's got to get rid of.
If we end season playing well but missing out on top 6. Then O'Neil needs to given next season to finish the job.
Needs a big clear out first though.

Red always

1.) 19 Jan 2019 17:47:34
Come on first game in charge, put his faith in two wingers who never created anything or put a cross in.
Lesson learnt hopefully Martin put the no 10 magician back in ,cus you can' two up top with colback and yacob

2.) 19 Jan 2019 18:12:26
Lolly arguably our biggest threat was mainly un marked but unused in plenty of space, should of had more impact. Good to see Grabban back but missed Carvalho in my humble opinion. Thought Murphy looked disinterested as usual.

3.) 19 Jan 2019 18:32:40
Ff magician?? I hope your being sarcastic

4.) 19 Jan 2019 18:49:26
No Stevie take a look at the facts without him we are seriously dire and we don't score, think about it?

16 Jan 2019 15:07:28
Instead of wasting next few days in training seeing who he wants rid of. O'Neil should look on here for the answers.
We know who's not up to it and which positions need strengening.
Keeper centre back winger forward at least.

1.) 16 Jan 2019 15:29:07
Ok mate. Martin if your reading this I was (am) a box to box midfielder, with an eye for the killer pass and spectacular goals for one of my home towns local clubs. Church Star Thirds (Don't let the name put you off mate).
I was Player Of The Month and dare I say it Player if the Year in 1990. (don't let the year put you off as it's really just a number).
I can also play "Sweeper" (now there's a term you don't here anymore). I'll even dye my hair blonde again like Terry Wilson did.
So take a punt on me mate. I won't let you down.
PS. I'm usually in bed by 8 pm as I'm a baker. so I can't take part in any evening matches. as I say don't let that put you off.
Excitedly waiting for your reply.

Rogie (Ronaldo,Ronaldhinio,Ramos) Red

2.) 16 Jan 2019 15:51:01
Get those boots polished rogie with some dubbing 🤣🤣🤣🍻🍻🍻

3.) 16 Jan 2019 16:03:55
I think I'd rather roll dice, flip a coin or ask a 3-year old for managerial advice than take tips from some of the donuts that post on here.

Saying that, I am (was) a No9 in the Drogba mould if MON is reading this. Sign me up, I'd take a grand a week.

4.) 16 Jan 2019 16:26:08
Mate,I'd play for a Cod Supper!!!🐟🐟🐟🍟🍟🍟

5.) 16 Jan 2019 16:36:53
If your football was the same standard as some of your posts I wouldn’t hold your breath

6.) 16 Jan 2019 16:42:08
We/You know what we need???

Well any Forest fan who doesn’t mention a leftback doesn’t know as we have needed one for about a decade or more!!!!

7.) 16 Jan 2019 16:48:59
When I was playing my manager said I reminded humbly of Berbatov. I’ll take £500 a week (after tax) and guarantee you that I will bring a sense of wonder as I get in space where there should be none (Locker Room)

8.) 16 Jan 2019 16:55:20
My post was For sswe not you rogie not nice to call people donuts for offering an opinion,

9.) 16 Jan 2019 17:05:22
Stevie f. what part of "Banter" do you not understand mate???

10.) 16 Jan 2019 17:16:19
The bit with the hole in it,you doughnut😁😁😁

11.) 16 Jan 2019 17:27:45
Sorry Stevie f ☹️

12.) 16 Jan 2019 17:28:39
Nice one Ff79!! Lol

13.) 16 Jan 2019 17:55:08
Rogie no problem mate my fault for not making it clear who my post was.for and I knew as soon as I saw how the posts sat it would be misconstrued

14.) 16 Jan 2019 17:57:52
Can anyone tell me can you still get shin pads with canes in?

15.) 16 Jan 2019 18:09:57
No probs Stevie F. and Carlo I'll lend you mine. and I'll even throw in a tube of Deep Heat!!! 🔥🔥🔥

16.) 16 Jan 2019 18:34:58
I was the only kid at school who had the steel toe cap boots,we were poor in those days and they were handed down from my older brothers.
Suffice to say not many wanted to tackle me, didn't need shin pads as I wore four pair of socks as my mum always allowed for growing room,
Popped a few leather balls and a few nether ones as well, happy😀😀😀

17.) 16 Jan 2019 18:53:50
Stevie f .Do you sometimes fire from the hip mate?

18.) 16 Jan 2019 18:40:12
Well Martin we never quite got you to turn out for us on Sundays back in the day but I'm happy to bring my boots and fill in the gaps either side out wide . A wing back before they became fashionable!!

19.) 16 Jan 2019 19:34:59
Sgetty not really mate I just don’t like people using abuse towards those who have a different opinion , if you don’t agree with someone put your argument,no need to call people donuts and 3 year olds etc,my point with you yesterday about the contract for instance, 1st thought it’s nobody else’s business, then you made your point about it usually being made public and you were right so I admitted you were someone had a go at a lad from eastbourne yesterday on here , and I thought that was out of order as well

20.) 16 Jan 2019 19:48:14
Ff779 thought everyone at fairham wore them! Used to feel like it in the inter house matches lol

21.) 16 Jan 2019 20:13:17
They came in handy when I was playing rugby and I never needed a padlock on my locker.
Mind you vivs brother had the hardest kick, the kid had attitude with that iron.

22.) 16 Jan 2019 20:21:26
Ff779 spare a thought for me I had to play against viv he was shall we say slightly better than most of the rest of us!

23.) 16 Jan 2019 21:03:14
Steve I think you've either misread or misunderstood my post to Eastbourne as I was sticking up for him.

24.) 16 Jan 2019 21:04:58
I wasn't entirely happy with a post from red balloons

25.) 16 Jan 2019 21:19:54
Sgetty that’s the 1 I thought was wrong mate not yours

26.) 16 Jan 2019 22:21:19
Yep sorry pal I subconsciously put full stop in wrong place when reading your post.

13 Jan 2019 09:31:26
These things need to happen in next 48 hours.
Jokanovic as new manager
Worrell recalled
Then after that let the new manager bring the 3/ 4 players in he needs.
We wasn't that far away and just needed a few tweaks in this window with quality signings.
Our owners bought a lot of shit. I say owners because I don't think karanka would of wanted someof them but luckily some were loans. These need going
Arisafad soudani Dias concalves
Tachoditis bridgcutt Watson
Likes of clough ward need going aswel
New manager needs to target
Centre back
Attacking central midfielder

Red always

1.) 13 Jan 2019 09:48:13
5th line down good luck with that one.
Anyway paulo Sousa is being touted as the next man,he will fit in a dream he’s had 9 teams in 13 years of management so is use to short stints as manager.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 10:00:47
Red Always, seriously think we've just written off another season. No credible manager will come now. In the game of call my bluff, AK won.

3.) 13 Jan 2019 10:07:48
Jakanovic won't come here. Who would want to be part of a club where the chairman is renowned for pulling the trigger alot.
It will be someone wanting a quick buck and ruin what's been put in place.
Marinakis needs to know how a league like the championship actually works.

4.) 13 Jan 2019 11:14:15
Scouse how did Ak win ?? He’s the one out of his job, 2 sulky walk outs at 2 clubs, not going to look good on his cv, don’t forget he’s still got to work for another chairman/owner somewhere, they’re going to look at his record and think he may be more trouble than he’s worth

5.) 13 Jan 2019 11:30:09
All chairman at every club pull the plug regularly, just have a look at every team and see how long the manager has actually been there.
It's a nonsense to day a 'good" manager won't come here, what's the definition of a good manager?
They all go from club to club unless they are extremely successful.

6.) 13 Jan 2019 11:45:32
Can't recall Worrall. Season loan with no recall option. Bad piece of Karanka business.

7.) 13 Jan 2019 13:11:52
FFS - the manager )whoever he is) doesn’t do the business at this club. It’s 2019 not 1979.

11 Jan 2019 16:23:07
Was never a big karanka fan. And he's baffled most of us with his sides and substitutions.
I also don't think all those signing were his ideas.
But let's move on. I hope jokanovic is the man we get. he's got the knowledge of championship and plays attack minded teams. And if it is him i'm sure he or whoever takes over will get some serious backing in this window.

I'd take O'Neil and Keane. I'm sure he will get us playing attractive football.
Some have said he's more route one. But he will be managing players who are more suited to playing it on deck.
Hope he's backed so he can add the finishing touches to squad.

When karanka had his sulk after Ipswich game. That was also when we announced new DOF.
Never been same since
But let's move on karanka as gone.
So long as we get either
Jokanovic or o neil in I'll be happy.
First choice jokanovic he knows the championship
And will be familiar with the players at forest so should be able to hit ground running. Couple of quality signings and we could gate crash the top 6.

We've all banged on all season bout the home form and karankas refusal to tactically Change at home when playing mid to bottom teams this as cost us at least 10 points. With those points we would be on heels of Norwich and Leeds.
Jokanovic will get us firing at home.
But he will need backing as we still need a
Left back maybe
Centre back
