The football league commentator on today's game said that he believes we are looking to get Karl Darlow on a second season long loan.

Red Nomad

1.) 04 Apr 2015 09:05:38
Cant see it as newcastle look like they will get rid of tim krul for £15-£20m. He is looking like he wants to leave them so you have to think Darlow may become number 1.

2.) 04 Apr 2015 12:54:42
Darlow has been loaned back to us this season, if Newcastle did not think he could not handle the Premiership both this and next season they would not have brought him.

3.) 05 Apr 2015 10:44:26
Newcastle have changed managers since they signed him. And will probably change again in the summer. Could depend on what the new man wants.

Local Nottingham paper saying McLaughlin going on loan to county and Pearce looking to sign jack hunt.

Red Nomad

{Ed012's Note - McLaughlin loan deal has been confirmed today.}

Steve Mac was Man of the Match for County last night I gather, 2 assists on his debut.

Fawaz' reaction to his car being vandalised on bird site.

"Very professional! But in the end I don't mind at all! The 3 points are more important!"

Yes Fawaz!

Red Nomad

1.) 18 Jan 2015 21:05:26
spot on fawaz they can damage matierial things but on saturday the ipro ( sheep dip ) was dyed red.

2.) They took his number plate and his team took three points. what would you rather have?lol

3.) 19 Jan 2015 08:13:26
I was watching the replay for the 10th time and if I was the manager jammaal lascelles would be on the first bus to Newcastle. Maybe I'm wrong but the camera never lies it's been awhile since my last post ed I've been in a dark place! But now the sunshine is back :) keep up the good work ed from all in Ireland

4.) Why lol he was clearly the only person prepared to help Wilson out by tackling that person. more than can be said for the stewards

Anyone else think Danny Mills has got it spot on.

BBB Sport

Red Nomad

1.) Danny mills the ex sheep player what's this old has been know

2.) 17 Jan 2015 08:37:55
Admire your loyalty skeg but Danny Mills is a Leeds man through and through. The fact that he played under Pearce's management might give him a little bit more knowledge than you or me.

3.) Danny Mills who hates Forest?? Don't like the bloke

4.) Danny Mills statement is probably a bit harsh and also he may hate Forest but deep down I feel he is probably right

5.) All he has done is described our season so far. Now that doesn't make him a good journalist, but it doesn't make him wrong either.

6.) England's 5th choice right back pipes up.

7.) Second thoughts Mills maybe right but who the hell is he ? Has he ever won anything has he ever managed anyone ? No so shut it you has been.

8.) That's more like it CRED. Who gives a toss what fanny mills has to say? Big win today for the Reds. c'mon Forest!

9.) 17 Jan 2015 14:30:54
Yes Ed, Mills is entitled to an opinion, but if he wants to be taken seriously as a pundit he needs to get over what happened between him and Pearce at Man City (Pearce didn't rate him and dropped him, as far as I remember!).
When he was on R5L for the Tottenham game he was ridiculously biased against Forest and for a pundit that is unacceptable and unprofessional.

{Ed001's Note - do you really think anyone takes him seriously as a pundit? That is why he is being outspoken.}

From SPs last post match interview, we have made calls to bring players in and are expecting responses this week.

Red Nomad

1.) With the impending return of Hobbs and Reid I would go for a left back and striker.

2.) 31 Dec 2014 13:04:51
Totally agree mate lb a major priority, let's just hope that 2015 brings us a run of form and some better luck with injurys. happy new yr to all u fellow reds fans let's continue to get behind our famous club onwards and upwards ftid

Just seen SPs post match interview, he is not a happy bunny. He says that certain players need to grow a pair and roll their sleeves up. I think we are lacking leaders and robust characters, we had a bad run but not had the character to pull out of it, hence why their confidence has been eroded. I don't blame SP, the players need to get a grip of themselves. The last 2 interviews Mancienne has given show that he isn't confident, his body language is terrible, mumbling, looking at the floor, he's our captain for gods sake. SP also mentioned that the supporters are supporting him and not the players but he understands that soon they will turn against him too. He made it quite clear that he is cheesed off with HL, 10 yellows already - there is no excuse.

What SP can do though is settle into some form of continuity, sell off the obvious candidates (abdoun etc) and do his best to bring in some full backs, all in my opinion of course.

1.) 30 Dec 2014 07:04:28
Mancienne was a poor choice as captain. Good player yes but not vocal or inspiring. I would make Tesche captain at the moment as he is the obvious choice in the middle of the pitch and always looks composed. Right now he would be the 1st name on my team sheet.

2.) Hopefully not long now before Hobbs is back and more importantly Fingers crossed he Stays fit, this lad is a leader, and should be Captain. Look how he made Lascelles Look like a prem class defender Last season.

3.) 30 Dec 2014 17:05:20
I am a huge SP fan. He is one of my all time favourite Forest players and it's almost 56 years since my first match. However, it seems from recent games that something has gone wrong in the relationship between the manager and players. We are not just losing or not getting the rub of the green or being unlucky with decisions. The performances have been dire. This is worrying and not easily rectified.

I would take £5 million. It would help get us out of embargo and ready for next season.

He has been told that he is 4th choice after Torres, so if Torres leaves.

Pretty average player.

A well written and honest statement in my opinion. He is doing the right thing for the club and is seeing the bigger picture with FFP. We will keep KD and JL for no cost this season and use the £7 million to balance the books. Cox for £600000 is a good move as his wages are as much (if not more) than the other 2 combined. I just hope that there are some added clauses in the deal with Newcastle which will see the income increase significantly long term. My opinion is that there must be as we could have sold for better money else where. Shrewd business by Fawaz, I still have faith - let's just hope it's enough and we can keep Henri, bring on Blackpool!

I would expect add ons that would be beyond 7mil for the two. Potentially this could be great business, reduces burden in FFP, keep them both for the season (we need them both) and they may not even make it in the perm. I just hope 7mil is the tip of the iceberg in terms of total payment. Something had to give as we are spending too much, and for those of you who keep complaining that we shouldn't be selling as Fawaz is loaded please read up on FFP. Prefer them not to go but I think it's a good deal for us.

I agree with the above post, been thinking that myself. By supporting SP so hard as fans we have alienated the players.

Red Nomad

Agreed. I have remained optimistic all season but that has now worn thin. We will lose today, the lads will have a good crack at it but Derby will be tactically superior. 3-1 Derby.

Agreed he is too lightweight and too often bullied off the ball. Great player but needs to fill out a bit.

A loss has been on the cards for a couple of games and it's the kick up the arse we needed. I think we will do ok against Watford as the lads will want to bounce back. It was a real pity to see Vaughn play so badly today, he came on and couldn't direct his passes and it rubbed off on others. The only concern I have is that our players get frustrated too easily, always on at the ref, each other and it often results in mistakes, Lansbury was a good example today. Britt, great that he's got another in the bag, seems to be marked out of games and is concentrating on winning free kicks than getting in position or holding the ball up.
