WE can't seriously be thinking of spending 13m on a 21year old midfielder who's only ever played in Portugal. Also untried in championship. When theirs players who are proven championship players for less money. but if we going to spend upto 50m.
Who should we be going for.

Centre midfield leadbitter or Clayton

if we spend 50mil to try and go up and spend it on players like clayton and leadbitter my season tickets going in the trent. alright carvalho and goncalves might not be experienced in the championship but surely at some point the class of these players is a bigger factor than championship experience.

Look at the clubs that have gone up in recent years, they all buy a couple of ‘risky young foreigners’ and a few ‘has been experienced’ Championship maybe PL players and a few ‘great at League One but. ’ lads!
Wolves as an example last year bought several Portuguese (Neves and Jota being the most effective and Barry Douglas who was playing in Turkey as well as a few Spainish and German league players as well as Solid experience in Ruddy and Ryan Bennett and a few young League one lads like Stevenson from Coventry. They had a big squad but it worked, Fulham and Cardiff had similar setups as did Huddersfield and Brighton the year before!
Personally if we get the two young Portuguese lads, Maddison and Marriot from Peterborough, Clarke from Hull , Colback, Tomlin and a Keeper and retain the likes of Cash, Worrall, Tobias, Lichij, Watson, Brereton and Lolley we will look strong especially if we can pick up Souldani or Grabban too and even keep Osbourn!

My opinion but I don't reckon we will get marriott due the price Peterborough have valued him at?
Grabban looks more like the realists option.
With the price of the Portugal player that may have a deficit on what we pay for a striker.
Marinakis I hope is a smart man and realises the league cannot be brought by splashing the cash.
Yes it worked for wolves but not villa.
As we all know it's a massive gamble trying to emulate wolves and I hasten to say if Krankie doesn't achieve the expectations of marinakis or walk the walk he will be out the hot seat.
I hope he buys well and takes forest up.

I’d personally like to see a good champ keeper like Westwood join, someone out the mold of Lee Camp, who was an absolute revelation for us. I’d go for friend and Gunter to complete what would be an excellent defence . Beyond that I’ve no idea what I’d do as I’m not sure what forwards for the AK mantra. Signing forwards is what makes or breaks clubs, especially at our level when every penny spent has to count. Rather him than me !

If all these names being bandied about were true we'd be spending 100 mill.
Personally don't think we'll spend big at all and can't see much happening till July with incoming transfers.
To bring in a lot of new faces requires us to offload at least 7 or 8 players first and I would think that being worked on just as hard as incoming transfers.
If we can't shift some first it will have an effect on how many come in,it's pretty much that simple.
