Got a mate who works at the Porsche garage and pantillimons car is currently in their for repair meaning he’s probably still living in the area or potentially moved back?

NffcRich

1.) 19 Jun 2018 19:34:08
Are they putting a sun roof in so he can poke his head out?

2.) 19 Jun 2018 19:53:39
Which Porsche garage?theres plenty about.

3.) 19 Jun 2018 20:15:46
Having the drivers seat moved in to the back to stop him dad driving over the steering wheel.
CARLO

4.) 19 Jun 2018 20:24:58
Hope the groundsmen gets his tent shifted from the"area" before the season starts?
Don't want a yellow patch?😂😂

5.) 19 Jun 2018 21:35:39
Carlo LMFHO.😂

6.) 20 Jun 2018 02:21:01
Apparently he said it isn't "handling very well". the mechanic replied "bit like you mate!!!" 🚗🚗🚗

7.) 20 Jun 2018 17:04:08
I think I'd have to go up through the gears to be as funny as you

13 Jun 2018 00:26:39
Not the most exciting signing but adding more experience at the back with young and creative players being added to the attack sounds far better to me then where we were last season with inexperienced Worrall and smith at the back and retirement bound Murphy up front

Then again what do I know even if karanka wanted to bring back mills I’d find a positive in it.

NffcRich

1.) 13 Jun 2018 10:24:33
I'd be happy with the Hutton signing! Back four of Hutton at right back Figs and Dawson in Centre with a decent left back and goal keeper (not Pants) then we are looking good

2.) 13 Jun 2018 12:43:58
How come you don’t want pantillimon? I thought he was a solid signing and the first keeper we’ve had in a long time who owns his area and isn’t afraid to come out to claim crosses and makes good saves anyway.

3.) 13 Jun 2018 13:03:54
You mean punch??
Never collected Crosses, pants is the name same and pants is his game.
A lot better than him out there.

4.) 13 Jun 2018 13:51:06
Have to agree. Think Hutton would be solid if we have him and Darinkwa on RB, Daws, Fig, Worrall and Fox as CB and then get a decent lb or two (Clark or Potts would both do me who have both been linked) we would look solid. I thought Pants did ok last season and we needed experience but he does punch too much and for me there is better out there. Danny Ward at Liverpool would be my choice and I would happily break the bank for him, he was excellent for Huddersfield in their promotion season and didn’t get close to first team at scousers last season.

5.) 13 Jun 2018 16:23:19
Yeah in fairness you’re probably right but honestly having watched smith and Kapino most of the season it was a nice change to have a keeper where I didn’t think we would concede every time the ball was on the wing and our goals conceded from set pieces went down too but there is definitely better out there I’m just overrating pantillimon because of how poor our other keepers have been

6.) 13 Jun 2018 17:16:05
I thought Pants was good on corners and commanded his box better than previous keepers. I think he's a solid keeper at this level. If there is better available I am sure we will go for them though.

7.) 13 Jun 2018 17:30:43
If we don’t sign pants who would people what? My picks would be Westwood or Johnstone, both very good keepers. I would live danny ward too but it seems Klopp wants to give him a chance to earn the no.1 jersey at Liverpool so he’s unlikely which is a shame

8.) 13 Jun 2018 17:40:28
I remember the penalty he saved at the Trent end and he stood still for the corner and it went in.
Might as well not have bothered saving it.
Kapino is krap with a capital K.
Looks like he's on his way though.

9.) 13 Jun 2018 18:19:19
I remember that Lichaj gave away the penalty. I don't know the statistics but I feel we improved on corners when he came in. Like I said if we have a better option let's go for it.

10.) 13 Jun 2018 19:34:54
Point is no good saving pens and going to sleep at corners
Got beat at his near post against Fulham and cost the game.
Six foot eight he might be,
But he's not good enough and that's why he's Watford fourth choice.

11.) 14 Jun 2018 00:33:11
Pants is very average and we should be aiming higher! The 3 suggestions on here are Ward, Westwood and Johnstone, all 3 would be amazing

12.) 14 Jun 2018 14:20:41
Afraid I agree with all the critics,6'8 and canny catch a cold,we should be looking for a good solid keeper.Robles or Adrian maybe worth a look.

09 Jun 2018 15:22:36
Think we can all agree a gk, lb and a st are a must hopefully pantillimon and Marriott but not too sure for lb Max Clark doesn’t exactly excite me but I’d rather any lb than Osborn again out of position this season but apart from these what other positions do you think we need to strengthen? Personally I believe we need another cm for cover and if possible should sign 2 strikers as Marriott is somewhat a risk if we do get him by injury or just not living up to potential in the championship.

NffcRich

1.) 09 Jun 2018 17:26:00
I think that will be the minimum, if rumours are to be believed, we're going to decimate our current squad. 18 certificate needed, it could get messy.😁

2.) 09 Jun 2018 17:39:24
i agree Nffcrich 2 strikers would be good. if be all for trying to get vydra in as well as marriott. apparently derby would be happy to sell for 7mil which is very good value for money considering the amount of goals he scores

3.) 09 Jun 2018 18:36:27
You see this is where i get a bit twitchy. If we can get vydra for 7 mil then surely that’s the signing to make. The two Portuguese lads aren’t strikers and for that amount of money it just feels like we should be targeting the weak areas. I’d sooner We spent 13 mil on two prolific strikers . I’m in full support of the club in whatever they do it just seems an odd strategy. Perhaps it’s based on selling the Portuguese player on for a massive prophet. I see little prospect of us signing those two and a couple of 5 - 7 million strikers, that can’t be realistic, can it?

4.) 09 Jun 2018 18:44:11
My thoughts exactly mate. two good strikers would go a long way.

5.) 09 Jun 2018 19:10:47
2star, I see where you are coming from but with reports saying Marriott has been told we are going to make a push for promotion if the club are going to spend so much for the creative players then why not for the finishers. There is no point in having chances created if the are not be put away often enough.

6.) 09 Jun 2018 21:32:41
At least he prophet we make can tell us what the future holds . . arrrrrgggghhhhh profit !

7.) 09 Jun 2018 21:45:58
These forwards could be available for right money
Marriott ings Defoe bamford hernendes
Rhoades kodiga hogan Britt soudani. To name a few.
We defo need to sign 2. i'd go Marriott looks good but might struggle to step up. And I'd go for Danny ings over his injuries but will never get in Liverpool team.
He ripped championship up when at Burnley.
Maybe loan with view to permanent.

8.) 09 Jun 2018 23:55:01
Im sort of with you 2 star .
We do need a striker but vydra?
He's not prolific anymore and don't think he could play the lone ranger role.the villa boys Kodja especially could do that job better and villa are in no position to haggle over money.

9.) 10 Jun 2018 09:34:24
With the huge some of cash being banded about I would like to see us go after a top quality goalie,15m Tom Pope?

10.) 10 Jun 2018 10:15:29
The problem I see with these wishful targets, is not the fee but the wages they would expect. £7m for Vydra? £30k per week for 3 years? Plus bonuses? Is he worth a £12m+ punt? Not for me. The Mendes boys may cost more but lower wages and a much better chance of a sell on profit. Club owners and officials sorted, manager sorted, just need the playing staff to reflect the club and fans ambitions of PL. COYR.

11.) 10 Jun 2018 11:13:35
With you on that 79. Definitely Kodja over Vydra.

12.) 10 Jun 2018 18:42:37
Ings is probably on about £4M a year. We really can't afford that! LOL

13.) 10 Jun 2018 20:04:16
Vydra not prolific anymore?! Didn't he just finish as top scorer in the league?! If he's available for 7 million I'd take him everyday of the week

14.) 10 Jun 2018 20:55:53
A lot of it is fanciful Scouse. Probably the 50 mill figure for a start.
Good way of selling season cards though???

15.) 10 Jun 2018 21:37:44
You old cynic FF79.😅

08 Jun 2018 16:34:36
Sorry if I sound dumb here but where has this 2m loss per month come from and is that as bad as it sounds or are all football clubs in a similar situation due to wages and other expenses. I thought that was during the fawaz era or are we still making that much of a loss and if so how have we managed to make a profit of 34 mil if we are losing 2m a month and how have we got so much to spend or like I said earlier is this standard for most football clubs?

NffcRich

1.) 08 Jun 2018 17:03:16
The historical loan was paid off basically and was the final accounts under the fawaz regime, marinakis accounts not due till May 2018.
It's debatable we are losing 2 mill a month though??
Majority of championship clubs lose money every year just to take part.
It's just the way football is outside the prem, those last accounts took into account the sale of burke for 13 million and writing of a debt.
Personally I doubt were losing that amount each month as 24 million each year would not be sustainable.

2.) 08 Jun 2018 17:21:05
I believe the wage bill has been reduced a lot better sponsorship deals increased gates and things just being run properly by football people

3.) 08 Jun 2018 18:14:40
My feeling is that unless we unload lots of players this summer because of their contracts and wages we will still be making big losses. With all this talk of new signings (of which we have seen so far only 1) I'm more interested in who we can sell and loan out, the wage bill must still be huge.

4.) 08 Jun 2018 18:36:31
A while ago if memory serves me right did fawaz say that forest owed him money and was takeing forest to court anybody knows how that went I've heard nowt since

5.) 08 Jun 2018 20:36:50
19 million and yes a court case dud unless they sort something

6.) 08 Jun 2018 23:08:37
Ff799
Wrong wrong wrong again!
We are now part of a football group that will move assets around to suit the circumstances.
Please keep up with the programme and stop this doom mongering and get behind AK and the team?

7.) 09 Jun 2018 14:06:12
Thats right Redinexile. Technically speaking. If we go for it financially and fail then Marinkas could buy the players for Olympiocos without breaking any rules, as long as he pays the market prices.

04 Jun 2018 16:32:47
Rumours saying Peterborough have accepted a 7 figure bid for one of their players, could be Marriott or Maddison but likely that it us who offered the money I would say.

NffcRich

1.) 04 Jun 2018 16:46:07
hopefully it is. after the last few days if all happens which is rumoured i'd be very optimistic (i already am), but that's a big IF

2.) 04 Jun 2018 17:44:28
Bristol and Leeds are also said to making proposed bids.

3.) 04 Jun 2018 20:32:02
If that's the case I reckon it's between us and Bristol. The Lilly's are all over the place at the moment! Farcical club!

4.) 05 Jun 2018 06:17:46
Just read that Bristol are favourite to sign

5.) 05 Jun 2018 09:27:35
Posh’s Owner has said that Nixon who’s reported that Marriot can go for £4mill is talking rubbish and he will be sold for more than that

6.) 05 Jun 2018 11:30:39
Just to back up what I said it was the posh’s owner who tweeted saying this.

7.) 05 Jun 2018 13:40:44
Bristol City he goes can't see karanka buying a unproven championship forward that price when you can have the ideal forward soudani maybe unproven in the championship but plays internationals for half the price

What are people’s opinions on the formation this season based off signings and who were linked with, seeing a lot of people say that we might play 3/ 5 at the back whichever way you look at it but I don’t really see how that would work as if we used wing backs where would we play Lolley, cash, Dias and Goncalves too much quality to leave out and if we played 3-4-3 that leaves 2 Cm of one surely would be Carvalho who is small and attacking minded meaning only Watson would fit next to him who isn’t exactly a defensive midfielder as Osborn and bridcutt would make our midfield way too small next to him.

NffcRich

1.) 09 Jul 2018 19:35:05
2-2-6

2.) 09 Jul 2018 20:03:26
Good shout and made me realise I posted this in the wrong group 😐

3.) 09 Jul 2018 20:38:17
I know what you mean Rich been thinking the same regarding formations and did think about 3-4-3 as well.
My conclusion was that he will still opt for 4-2-3-1 as you say to accommodate the many attacking wide players we now have but players will be rotated quite often especially when we have midweek games.

4.) 09 Jul 2018 21:03:33
Think he'll go three at the back,Dawson centre figs or Worrall right and fox or ribbon left.
Cash or darikwa right Osborn and the new signing left wing backs
Two holding midfield players Watson and a new signing.
Grabban up top
Calvalho and lolly supporting.
Just a theory.

5.) 09 Jul 2018 21:20:07
I'd have thought 4-5-1 like he did last season.

6.) 09 Jul 2018 21:23:35
4-2-3-1 with Watson and another in the middle, Dias, Carvalho and Goncalves behind Grabban.

7.) 09 Jul 2018 22:18:40
To be fair with the depth of squad Ali of formations can be played so we'll have to wait and see??

8.) 09 Jul 2018 22:32:45
Yeah I hope it’s 4-2-3-1 don’t like the idea of 3/5 at the back don’t think it suports the players we’ve signed and don’t think we have enough cb’s to support it fthroughout the course of the season

9.) 10 Jul 2018 10:02:53
That looks really good London-Reds.Who'd be in your back four?

07 Jun 2018 10:37:02
Done deal may not be proven in the championship but seeing a lot of disappointed Benfica fans seeing that he has gone also saying they are both bigger prospects then the ones who went to wolves. I wouldn’t complain about the owner showing ambition makes a change from us selling all our best players and signing freebies.

NffcRich

1.) 07 Jun 2018 11:49:54
Agree totally with that, my only concern is every club and it’s supporters say that about academy players. We should know that more than anyone and know how incorrect those predictions often are.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 12:33:01
I agree - Whilst we can be proud of our academy for producing some decent youth players, it seems to get a lot of accolades, but I'm not sure why. Brereton, Worrall, Smith, Cash, Osborne - our most recent crop, not exactly world beaters.

3.) 07 Jun 2018 12:38:29
Fingers crossed 2star I remember moschianos and Tevez to west ham maybe we have a bit of a coup going on with these 2 from Portugal I hope they rip the championship up.

4.) 07 Jun 2018 16:59:33
Not a done deal yet. Not until the club officially announce it. As yet, nothing on Forest's official website.

5.) 07 Jun 2018 18:42:51
Hope so skeg, hopefully you’ll be telling me to meet you in the river bank prior to watching an outstanding team next season !

6.) 08 Jun 2018 00:21:09
No doubt about that 2star looking forward to it 🍻🍻😆

YouTube shouldn’t be used to judge a player just to get an insight into what they offer and what I see is a strong skilful striker who can finish chances and create his own ones if need be he’s an experienced goal scorer just hope he can do it for us, to me he looks exactly like what we need in front of the Portuguese lads

Would not be happy if we sold Osborn for 5m can play anywhere in midfield and fill in at lb, still only 23 and been our most consistent best performer for the last 3 seasons. 10m+ at least for me or less with a player involved too such as darlow, Colback or Mitrovic
