Still on course for 69 points for the season. Based on 2016/ 17 that places us 9th in the table. Feels about right.

I'd be surprised if we got that many points.

As I said a few weeks ago, this form gets us to 69 points at season-end. As things stand, we're 3 points from the playoffs, 8 points off the relegation zone. We're having a bizarre season but that's better than having a straight-out bad season.

I agree, I think we all knew it was going to be a bit of a rollercoaster season and we just need to be patient with MW and what he is trying to do. I personally don't think we will be in a relegation fight this season and there is loads of points to play for.

Great that Vaughn is back and Fox getting some nice comments and especially the 3 points, hopefully that means we won't have the Gers fan coming on to say I told you so today!

Proper roller-coaster ride so far. At this rate we'll end up with 69 points - more if we strengthen the defence in January. I'll settle for that.

Typical I missed the game today, but feeling happy about the result, well done to all

This is a forum right? Is everyone familiar with what that means? A platform for the airing or opinions. So why is it that any negative comment is immediately pounced upon by the "positivity police"? It was that nonsense that got us stuck with Fawaz for years. When something is wrong, call it out - that's how change is brought about.

Let's have a bit of respect for all of our fellow supporters and stop trying to dictate the agenda.

You are right, but some when giving their opinion overreact to the point of had they been our manager they would be selling the entire team after every game when a transfer window is open. I think whoever said something like, some post too soon after the game while their emotions are at their strongest hit the nail on the head.

I can't believe there's even mention of changing the manager. Some of the players on that pitch yesterday were not putting the effort in. We're really missing Reid. Lansbury is up his own jacksy - surely someone else can take corners? Fox shouldn't be in the team. Assombalonga cannot hold the front line alone. Ince? Give him 2 more games then bring in Paterson.

Mig66

1.) I for one don't want to lose SP.
But you stick up for him then spend the rest of the post criticising him.
He picks Fox, he plays Britt up on his own, he brought Ince to the club.
I feel we miss a real leader on the pitch and can't believe Lansbury hasn't stepped up to the plate.
Instead he seems to be one of those players that performs when the team is doing well but goes into hiding when the going gets tough.
I expect psycho will have them fired up for Brentford and there could be fireworks ;)

2.) Give ince two games then change for Paterson?did you watch the match yesterday?ince is a class above, it wasn't his fault others didn't put the effort in. ince will be a revalation, you just watch him on wed.

3.) 02 Nov 2014 21:55:28
if it is the case that the players aren't putting a shift in then the question has to be asked WHY ????? what is the problem, all this BS about get rid of pearce is stupid but he has to sort his players out & fast, lansbury for one has to up his game

4.) Let's hope Wednesday night we can re ignite our form. Some players could do with a rocket up their arses, maybe Wednesday they will get one! COYR

5.) 03 Nov 2014 15:28:45
I have two main concerns at the moment. We seem to be too dependent on Reid, do well when he's fit and uninspired when and flat when he's injured. Also think that SP has assembled a potentially unbeatable set of players, but doesn't seem to know how to inspire or motivate them. Perhaps some of the suggestions about giving him an experienced helper might solve it.

6.) What is it with people on this forum inventing stuff that hasn't been written? I haven't criticised SP. I've criticised under-performing players. The manager can only do so much.

Funny posts below. Buy a winger and play him loose behind Assombalonga. Put him in central midfield? Ha ha ha!!

Mig66

1.) Offensively Antonio & Burke have been our best midfielders this season. So by definition should not be dropped. Put Ince in the equation and you have three wingers vying for 2 places. Ince is the better player and more versatile, therefore the best candidate to fill the void in the middle of the pitch. A position that is costing us games & A position he was earmarked for at England Under 21 with Sterling and Zaha.

It's a nonsense to offer the guy an extension based on 4 games. It would have been difficult to miss 3 of those goals. The best we've got is still not good enough - the hunt for a 20-a-season man must go on.

He's one player. Reid was our biggest loss this campaign and it shows we should never rely on one player so much again.

He's under contract to the Republic. At least make up something feasible.

As I said before, Forest are a one man team. No Reid, no creativity, no automatic promotion. Even Paterson looks ordinary without him.

Well said, it's your right to criticise. We have dropped too many points through late goals given away. We haven't purchased the 20 goals a season striker. Without Reid in fact we'd be nowhere. Billy has made some bizarre decisions, the latest of which pulling Reid off last night when he is the most likely to create something from nothing in the final 10 minutes. Yes, we are in a good position bearing in mind the amount of injuries we're carrying - but given the amount we've invested and the size of the squad it's not actually that astounding and Billy needs to stop overplaying it because it's having a negative impact, just as baldly stating only a week ago that Lascelles is not a first-choice centre-back. Psychology is not his main strength. We're doing well - we should be doing better. Good news is though that this only takes a little bit of tinkering, not any wholesale changes.

Right. Because there's been nothing to moan about for the past 5 or 6 years. If we listened to people like you Fawaz would still be in power. Don't confuse loyalty with stupidity.

Is having a target man up front the same as hoofball? Anyone remember Peter Withe?

We beat Fulham without Reid? Pathetic logic. So we'll just ignore all of the other matches since then will we?

Darlow has been fantastic this season. Let's not be ungrateful. The only player not turning up so far is Lansbury. And the absence of Hunt makes a huge difference.
