REIDY! Back on the bench for tonight's game. He's recovered quick.

Let's hope he don't get Injuryed For coming back too soon like licha (bad spelling sorry) if he plays

LordJording

1.) Is it christmas already? Great news!

2.) Massive boost. Just need Wilson and Lansbury back and we may just scrape play offs.

3.) Get in! Reidy Reidy Reidy!

4.) On for 2 mins and gets the assist for the goal. Top man.

5.) Actually he was on for 10 and hendo 2 when he punched reids assist in. Hendo is handy with them fists. Hendo has to start Saturday. Looks more interested than cox. Cox and mackie waste to many opportunities, should have been out if site before middlesborough scored

6.) Played better in 20 minutes than the rest of our team during the last 3 games! Well done Andy Messi!

7.) I had an umbilical hernia correction last yaer and I was wrote off for a good few weeks. reidy must be one die hard mo fo

8.) Much improved performance. But like Saturday chances created and missed.

With Psycho mentioning he will take look at some loans to cover injury's.

Who do you think he will look at and who do you want to come in?

LordJording

1.) I think Dorrans, George Boyd, Peter Whittingham and Darren Pratley have been mentioned. Can't help it, but I've heard they have asked about Billy Sharp

2.) 24 Sep 2014 17:03:04

Ive been seeing a lot of petty arguments with other teams fans on twitter about who has the bigger club.

In my eyes, why the hell does it matter who is the bigger club? we can loose to smaller clubs and we can win against bigger clubs.

I first started seeing it and taking note about it when Burnley came in for Henri, fans tweeting him saying "dont go there we are a bigger club" etc etc. Why are forest a bigger club? and why do fans think that will change his mind. There in the prem, we aren't. we havnt been for 15 years. fair enough we have history, but that doesn't mean we are a big club.

LordJording

1.) Got to agree Lord J - i'd say its the older fans (40 ish +) who keep saying that we are a bigger club etc. lots of younger fans see us as a big championship club with a great history and that's it - others remember us as a top league club winning cups and pushing teams for the title, we were also many fans second team. i'm not too fussed whether we are classed as a big club or not - its what the club means to me as an individual that bothers me. We do have the potential to get back up with the big boys and we are going the right way about doing it.

2.) I would say it depends on fan base potential!

3.) I'd say there usually is a case when one club is bigger than another. It goes across many subjects. Fan base, history, global and regional awareness and so on. I commented today on the rumours page that Forest is a bigger club than Reading in relation to the Hobbs rumours and I totally stand by what I said.

4.) I've lived in quite a couple a lot of locations throughout my life and Forest are always very well received by majority of proper football fans. They all respect what our club has achieved, from nothing and what we've been through since.
I think that is a true indication of how successful (BIG) your club is.
Anyones club can be owned by a billionaire and have success bought. But it's about standing the test of time.
I've sent a lot of my friends the tunnel walk, they've all said the same thing, a club like that shouldn't be scraping in the championship. We should be taking it to the big boyz!

5.) What a mature young man you must be!
Do you think Burnley or Reading could have replicated the same first day of the season that we had? Wherever I travel around the world, Forest are known and are viewed with the highest regard and respect. There is a magic associated with our club that many other clubs couldn't dream of and will never have. It is historical and we are also able to have more optimism than these clubs because we've been there before. I believe we do have more potential to go further than many others. It's not petty. It's a shame you don't feel the same. Perhaps you should talk to a few more 40+ fans.

6.) Here in Germany when zee Germans ask where abouts me and the wife are From the wife says derby - met with blank stares, I immediately say Nottingham straight away I get a smile followed by them saying Forest, Brian Clough and plenty say Psycho. Nuff said I think.

7.) Nice one Jimmy, been mulling over the original post for a while & my first thoughts were the fanbase is not necessarily part of a club becoming a "big club'.
The growing size of a fanbase is a follow on of how successful the club have been through thier history.
IMO what makes Forest a bigger club than quite a few of the bottom half premier clubs (inc Burnley) is when Forest are mentioned to anyone with a footballing brain you are instantly greeted with a smile a handshake & ahhh Brian Clough, the response is the same all over the globe.
Could you honesty say the same of Burnley & Reading?

8.) Jimmy - you ask a fifteen year old lad from any city out of the midlands about forest and the majority wouldn't even know what we've won or be able to name anyone who plays for us. If memories and history make us a big club then we are up there with the best of them but if we are talking about the here and now we are a long way off. We are Going the right way to get back where we belong but outside of Nottingham we are not a big club. 42 year old lifelong fan (but not from nottingham-maybe that's one of the reasons why I think this way?)

9.) Hi 2tone, think most 15yr old lads would struggle to name any clubs history/trophy cabinet other than thier home club, maybe the exception would be Man u. Man City, recent sucess.
The original post was implying us 40+ Forest fans were petty in believing our club is a bigger club than Burnley.
Even in the here & now we are still a bigger club playing in a lower league.

10.) I think to be regarded as a big club you need to have at least one of the following things: Good support, a history of winning major trophies, loadsamoney - that's why team's like Leicester will never be a bigger club than us because no matter that they're in the premiership they don't really possess any of the above - Wolves are a bigger club than them in my view

11.) 2tone, it all depends on your up bringing! & your education of the beautiful game.
My son at 6, 1st year as a season ticket wanted Pearce on his shirt. Bearing in mind Sp had no recent official contact with the club. He also stood there and applauded Brighton off the pitch at the end of the season. He appreciates good football not playboy footballers.
It's worth pointing out that youngsters now a days don't have any true role-models to follow. All the pin ups are just manufactured Barbie & Ken's that can play football.

12.) Trickie-that's great to hear about your lad and if more of the younger generation had the intelligence and ability to act in that way the future of the beautiful game would be much brighter, I really hope he manages to keep thinking that way but a lot of people will try to drum it out of him in the coming years ie. Other kids, football coaches, the media etc.
Going back to the bigger club issue, it brings up so many different views and opinions but there are a lot of clubs who class themselves as big clubs, some with more reasons than others but its irrelevant really- we all know/think we support the best club and we wouldn't change it if we were playing on an open field or at Wembley. However you get your link to a club its with you for life and I couldn't care less if we're called a big club or a Mickey mouse club, i'm just a proud supporter of a great football club.

13.) Very good posts enjoyed the read. Nottingham forest is steeped with history, supported by one of the best fan bases. Maybe not the biggest clubs in the world, however one that everyone can relate to. The unfashionable club that had a great manager and punched above its weight. Our club will always be the biggest to us loyal fans because we are nottinghamforest

Gutted I can't make the game on Sat, luckily I have my beloved TV to watch it on.

I'm going for a 1-1 draw, with at least one player sent off. The ref seems to like booking people, but only 1 red cards this season (being in the Blackpool game in November)

My starting 11 would be something like

Darlow
Jara Lascelles Collins Fox
Paterson Moussi Greening Abdoun
Hendo Djjebour

Bench: de Vries, Halford, Gomis, Majewski, Lansbury (if the rumours are true. ) Mackie, Derbyshire

What would you squad look like Ed?

LordJording

{Ed034's Note - i think I would go 4231 with pato, cox and Mackie behind djebbour or cox on his own and bring in abdoun

1.) I'm going for Darlow up top reckon he'd make a good target man. ;) not really agree with you ed.

{Ed034's Note - we all have our views and preferred players

2.) I think Abdoun and Hendo will come in.

Darlow
Jara Lascelles Collins Fox
Paterson Greening Radi Abdoun
Cox Hendo

3.) I meant I agree with you, sorry ed bad punctuation and grammar on my part. The first bit was a joke. Sort of ruined it now I'll just hang my head in Shame.

{Ed034's Note - lol

Pato going on loan started with a twitter account that is known for his bullpoo. I wouldn't trust him.

But i can see Pato going out on loan IF we are getting someone better in on loan.
