No thanks!!! It's a target man who can hold up the ball and bring other players in (our own players obviously) Lars not ready yet.

4.) He ain't done jack for ages and ages. Doesn't score anymore but my god he has to be better than Lars.

Never seen anyone look more ill at ease on a football pitch than Lars.

5.) We are going to see loads of names linked to the mighty reds. would like to see someone actually joining, transfer window has been open ages now.

Even Charlton have signed a striker Tony Watt from Standard Leige (or however it's spelt).

6.) Is 6 days really classed as ages?

7.) We don't need another striker, least of all a target man, Fryatt plays that role more than adequately. Two things we need: a central midfield playmaker & a system & style that the players are comfortable playing.

8.) Cjay
Methinks you are watching a different game!

Why do you think the ball keeps coming back when played up to the strikers?

Because our front men keep getting bullied off the ball!

Yes we need a creative midfielder and better full backs but Fryatt apart our front line options lacks experience and Dex is past his best

9.) Redindenile: The lack of attacking midfielder is clouding the issue here. Our central midfielders operate like defensive midfielders, not confident to venture forward with ball at feet. The gap between central midfield & strikers tends to bridged by high balls with a 6"4 CB on on your back. If they are lucky enough to receive a ball to feet, then they can only hold it for so long before a viable option is needed. With the wide men covered & central midfield too deep. What next? Until you change the way we play, another hold up striker will have the same problem. A hold player is only as good as the service he receives & the options open to him thereafter.

Tbh We don't need another striker, especially a target man.
We need to get the ball to feet to Assombalonga and let him run, that's why he's not keeping the ball we are not a long ball team.
We need to replace Darlow and replace Reid, with the latter probably having only 2 years left in his career, if we struggle now with him injured then we are up the creek when he retires.
I don't think we could afford his full wages but we need a leader and Charlie Adams could be that man in midfield.

11.) Don't agree Cjay, 1 goal in 39 Attempts on goal in last 2 games (only 8 actually on target too) suggest we need someone who can finish not creating more chances for us to put miles wide. We need a leader on the park more than anything and someone to organise at the back.

12.) NFFC Dave: Its a poor return, that's not up for debate. Stats can be misleading tho, of the 39 how many are speculative long range shots? I never get the impression when watching us we are wasteful with chances. More so we don't create enough. When the opposition sit deep we can't create for him in the box, nor give him any quality delivery from out wide. When the opposition press us we haven't the quality to give him something to run on to. he's 5 million pounds worth of finishing talent. let's give him something to finish. Reids reintroduction will confirm our problems lay firmly in midfield.

I know some of his relatives and also know he is really happy at Blackburn after having Premier League clubs come sniffing he's told them there is no way he's leaving Blackburn
