We won't sign anyone now until January, unless we get a key player injured and go for an emergency loan. Montainer will stick with what he's got and see what key positions we will need to strengthen in, if any. Until then all rumours should read "in January we might be looking to buy . ".

Have been told by both a former player and a current squad member that McCleary would like to come back to Forest. No mention of a bid having been placed or anything like that so don't want to raise any hopes. There's probably a few more ex players who wouldn't turn down a return.
1.) Would love to see him in a forest shirt again
2.) I would love to see this, and see as we're throwing a few players their way, maybe we should have a cheeky bid.
Although, I doubt it.
I can dream though.
3.) Most likely not going to happen. If it does then I doubt anyone would disagree.
4.) Ed do you think they would sign macleary even if we get Antonio which is looking very likely

forgetting how he betrayed the club when he left same as Wilson though Gunther gave his best still treated us like a lady of the night use and throw away wasn't happy with Wilson less happy about McCleary.
{Ed034's Note - gunter could have gone when we were near the bottom of the league and struggling, but refused a transfer as he wouldn't leave us while like that.

When Fawaz bought the club and appointed Billy Davis he announced there was a 5 year plan to get us into the Premiership. We are in year 3 I believe.
FFP is a stumbling block but we have the basis of an exceptionally strong squad which needs strengthening in a few areas. If we fix the RB and CF positions we will be very close to contending. Our choices at CB are strong as is the centre of midfield, especially with Redi/Cohen on the mend. Selling Antonio is a set back but £7m is great money and will be used for the greater good of the club.
As frustrating as it may be this season looks like it will be up and down but should set us up for another spree next season. Fawaz has shown he is not shy to spend money!

When Fawaz bought the club on the advice of the players he appointed Sean O,Driscoll ,pity he didn,t leave him there we might be over the line now!

It was the players who wanted sod out.they were fed up with him looking at other teams formations and tactics and setting us up to not lose against them in stead of playing our own way.

3.) Personally I rated Abdoun and if you watch the vids you'll see he had a part to play in a lot of the goals we scored. It all started to go wrong when Rafik was signed.

2 players who left on Freebies this year McGugan & McGoldrick have scored 7 between them already this year. I know Dave never hit top form at Forest and struggled with injuries but after banging goals in for fun in League 1 & championship on loan last year I'm still disappointed we let them leave for nothing.
1.) After all the get rid of McGoaldrought now he's scoring criticize Billy. McGugan has hit form but we let him go as he is not consistent enough, and even Zola has said he's scored but he must work for the team. Some people just want the benefit of hindsight to say look what you could have had. It's like the ghost of Jim Bowen!

Let chambers leave because he's scored this season too! We let them leave because either they wanted too, weren't in our plans or because they were crap for us! Personally I don't see the point in being upset they left we've got far far better now!

Luke Moore was out in Nottingham last night, not reading anything into it but not sure why he would be here?!
1.) Hopefully, he was on a jolly boys night out and no more and has gone back down South. Checked him out on Wikipédia. Ain`t good enough, similar to what we have already.

Also before I get jumped on for saying I don’t want us to spend £6m on a league 1 player it’s worth noting that McGoldrick had a better goals per game ratio when we loaned him to Coventry in League 1 and most of the forest fans were happy to let him go on a freebie. !

I really hope we don’t get Marriott.
I’ve watched all his goals from last season, handful of mishits, handful of scuffed finishes, handful of snatched shots that better keepers should be saving and a handful of lobs from long balls over the top where keepers are in no mans land. Rest are scrappy finishes inside penalty boxes.
I really don’t think this guy is the business. Armstrong from Newcastle scored goals in League 1 and can’t cut in the championship. Same as Clough, same as Garner.
Not good enough, hope he goes to the sheep.

Great appointment.
Those worried about attack vs defence, the year Boro went up they had 8th best attack in division and best defence. To put that into perspective they scored 20 more goals than us that season and only 9 less than the leagues top scoring team.
I expect us to be resolute defensively but with more match winners in the side when we attack.
Genuinely very excited about the next chapter under the current owners. MW did a solid job keeping us up last year and brought the fans back into the ground with renewed optimism. We should thank him for that but in football there are levels and we have just appointed the real deal in Karanka!

Too many deluded people on here. In 3 seasons Britt has played 65 games and scored 30 goals. I know he's been injured but averaged out its 10 goals a season. He's got pedigree but in my opinion doesn't look the same player since the cruciate injury. £10m+ is good money for a striker with question marks over their fitness. I trust the board to make the right call, they are realistic and pragmatic, us fans should be too.
