I am still perplexed regarding Milosevic, as he and Benalouane made a good partnership. Also the recent omission of Robinson seems baffling. If these changes had taken place when we out of the running for the play offs then I could have understood he wanted to give all players a chance to show their worth before the end of season. On the offensive, when Grabban injured, makes sense to me that Bonatini should have led the line with Cash and Lolley in support. I believe changing defensive line ups and playing Murphy with Grabban or as lone striker has cost us any play off possibility.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, with regard to Robinson, he has had a lot of attitude issues in the past, which is why he was let go by Liverpool and why he struggled for a while afterwards. Ability-wise, he should have been the regular Liverpool left-back, but he kept playing up and it cost him his chance. Maybe he has reverted back to his old ways? MoN and Keane are old school and won't put up with a player who messes them about.}

Thank you Ed. it is good to hear someone put a bit of light to this situation.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome. It might not be the issue, but it would be very understandable. He missed a fair few training sessions hence getting dropped at Liverpool just when he made the breakthrough. Back then he preferred to go out and have a good time rather than concentrate on his game knowing he would have 50 years after he retired to live it up!}

I may have questioned Robinson's commitment in the past and was shot down in flames. I hope he can be controlled, we are short in the left back department and I'm not talking about BO's height.

3.) 12 Apr 2019 18:35:03
We have to bear in mind that whilst we see the players once or twice a week for 90 minutes the management team see them probably on an almost daily basis.

They see them training and human nature being what it is coupled with possibly big egos will almost certainly result in spats and fall outs so it is perhaps never as simple as picking certain players in certain positions as puzzling as it may seem to some , myself included

Creepy weren’t Robinson and benelouine having a frank exchange of views at Ipswich mate?

5.) 12 Apr 2019 21:31:26
Perhaps this is the type of situation where Roy Keane would step in and give the players a gentle nudge in the right direction.With a large portion of tact and diplomacy,of course.

It is worth looking at all the remaining fixtures among play off contenders, but here is another aspect to consider. Derby do not play until next Saturday and then have 8 games in 29 days. Bristol City will play 8 games in 28 days, then wait 5 days till the last day of matches. Bristol City v Derby is 3 fixtures before the end of season. I would love it if we are still in there scrapping for a place when we face Boro in our penultimate match.

It is likely we will see changes in position in the championship play offs in the last quarter of the season. Teams will have rough and purple patches. We are averaging over the 2 points a game under MON, and that would keep us in the mix until the end of the season. Seems reasonable to suggest we will need some back to back wins at some point. If we have an injury free defence from now until the end of the season, I believe we will make the play offs. Cup runs and subsequent games in hand seems to have scuppered Bristol and Derby alike. We look more fresh and hungry. My prediction.2-1 to Forest today,2-0 up then a late goal to put us on tender hooks for the last few minutes!

Important point about the defence FOF. What a difference a calamity free few games makes. If we keep these two clear of injury and in form then we could start to believe. However folks , you never know what is round the corner??? 'Nervy' times!!

2.) 02 Mar 2019 10:43:08
We carnt afford to drop more than 11 points . Simples

3.) 02 Mar 2019 11:57:56
Tough game today I think! Potters crowd are very very vocal and partisan and the ref looks like a "homer" for sure,plus I just can't see us playing with the amazing intensity and commitment we showed against the sheep . I hope I'm wrong but I can see this being a draw when we need a win. Good news is I live only 15 mins from the 365 stadium, bad news is ill have to sit amongst Stoke fans and somehow contain myself.If you see an old git being escorted out you 'll know I failed! Coyr!

Ps a lot depends on whether Vokes is fit! He's always given us a lot of trouble over the years

Wonderful and deserved victory, made up for players, staff and fans after a frustrating period. A few observations. Milosevic and Benalouane again proved immense, both no nonsense warriors who have gelled so well. Benny must realise not all referees are going to give a free kick for minimum contact. MON excellent at utilising Murphy to get the best from him. Lampard helped Forest by taking off Huddlestone, their best defence splitting passer. Wilson was their last hope of an outside box goal and was withdrawn as Derby could not break us down. Lampard sai the game lacked "quality". I suggest one manager had the quality of mind when selecting tactics and personnel and the other just bemoaned Huddlestone giving away the free kick we scored from. Fantastic support, and hoping Blues can do something in Bristol tonight. Colback, Yates, Lolley amazing, all 11 were spot on, even Pants seems to be looking more assured. maybe that is because of the defence he has in front of him now?

Hernandez of West Ham has done a "roofe"to score. Just to clarify 2017 law. A 2 match ban is given if agreed by panel that "successful deception of a match official" has taken place. I wonder if the reaction will be different as a televised Premier League game. You might know the prime suspect of the 3 blind mice on this occasion, Lee Mason of course!

Can't blame the ref on this one. No way he could see the handball.

West Brom second goal was a penalty from a tackle outside the box. West Brom illegally win a penalty. where have we heard that before?!! Birmingham deserved at least a point,they look to have enough to stay up,and could even challenge for play offs next year with a few additions.

It goes back to what a certain Mr Clough said "Football clubs should be run by football people". Of course the buck stops with the financial director or equivalent. Real football people know that Harry collapsed Bournemouth and Portsmouth,and to appoint him,shows the board were out of touch. foreign ownership who just go for a big name expecting instant success,and sadly it is the players and fans that suffer.

The international break has come at a great time for Forest and the worst for teams like Villa.A fit Grabban and Cash,and we have a full supplement of players that would be likely to start,all available.First chance MON and Roy have had a few weeks without games to work with the players.We are clearly losing pace with the pack,but we all know what 3 wins on the trot can do.We live in hope!!!
