SSN saying we're in talks with Arsenal for Carl Jenkinson. Not a bad signing.

Why are most people saying that WB has 2 games to save his job. We are only 6 points off the playoffs and only played 10 games. We have a few new lads who need to get used to each other and the more games we play the better we'll get. We can't always play beautiful football and sometimes need to win ugly but who cares because a win is a win. The new owners have put a plan in place and its a plan we need to get on board with.

1.) 29 Sep 2017 16:57:19
I agree Bez, a lot of people on here are frustrated and have no patience, to say get rid of MW now or in a few games time is just plain crazy.

2.) 29 Sep 2017 19:42:16
Bezman We do not want beautiful football at the moment. We need results and clean sheets, it is not as though we are unlucky and loosing One Nil. We are loosing at home and leaking too many goals. How many losses do there have to be before the owners sack the manager ? Not many more I am afraid. Another loss tomorrow and MW will be gone.

3.) 29 Sep 2017 20:26:43
It's more the fact he inherited the second worst defence in league then completely ignored the fact we conceded 72 goals went our and bought loads of attacking options, leaves out last year's player of the year for a poor defender, relentlessly plays mills dispite so many mistakes and solo positional errors leading to goals, take leeds for example new owners new manager 8 or 9 new players same boat as us except there manager joined at then of June and there 3rd I'm sorry but he chose to ignore our biggest problem and is now paying the price

4.) 29 Sep 2017 20:30:29
Some want it all, and want it now.

5.) 29 Sep 2017 20:49:06
Jake he isn't going to change his way of playing.
He has a style and when it works,as it did against Huddersfield last season and Ipswich,it's great to watch.
He will stick to his way and so he should,it won't happen overnight it takes time,we'll have good days and bad days, just give it time.
If your worried don't be two team's are already relegated,in Bolton and Sunderland and that's because they are a mess as clubs from the top.
We've sorted that and if our new owners sacked Warburton after 10 games then they would be no better than fawaz.
Next thing you know another manager comes in,don't like the players out comes the cheque book,he fails, then the owners get abuse.
Ring any bells?
It should do,alarm ones.

6.) 29 Sep 2017 21:03:57
Wouldn't say that abf but an improvement would be a start defence is as bad if not worse than last year as everyone keeps saying work in progress where is the progress because I still see a team leaking goals and lacking inspiration don't get me wrong off the field is great but on it looks no different to last season right now

7.) 30 Sep 2017 10:52:41
I'm sorry. I don't understand how it's MWs fault we didn't improve the defence? He bought in a RB, tried to get in a cb and a LB in, brought in a GK who got injured before he played and has strengthened the midfield to shield the defence and is trying to get the team to transition into an attractive attacking team. We are not defending particularly well, however a lot of the issues are individual errors.

8.) 30 Sep 2017 11:37:40
ABF. I feel a Queen number coming on!!! 🎸🎸🎸

{Ed007's Note - Years ago I went for a job interview which went a bit like this:

Interviewer: What would you consider one of your strengths?
Me: Performing under pressure
Interviewer: Can you give me an example?
Me: *deep breath*

Mm ba ba de,
Um bum ba de,
Um bu bu bum da de

PRESSURE, pushing down on me, pressing down on you........

9.) 30 Sep 2017 12:36:53
Transition into attacking football ? We seldom play attacking football. We play sideways football most of the time. The reason we keep losing is because our possession is none penetrative so far this season and most of his tenure last season. Just because the ball is on the floor doesn't automatically make it attackng football.
Play like we did for 10 mins in second half against Fulham and it might click bit this manager is taking too long to spot the obvious. Is vaughans absence the reason? If so MW carries the can for that too because Vaughan hasn't made a full season for years so why would you so him as anything other than bit part.

10.) 30 Sep 2017 18:29:59
2star. Yet under Warburton both Vaughan and Cohen managed to play every game when wanting new contracts.

11.) 30 Sep 2017 19:43:02
They did mate very true.

12.) 30 Sep 2017 15:10:35
Class ED!!!

{Ed007's Note - ;-D

13.) 30 Sep 2017 18:26:39
Really liked that ed007.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers mate.}

14.) 01 Oct 2017 08:06:27
Fickle forest fans are never happy 😂 I think if we were top of the league playing rubbish football some of you lot would be calling for the managers head! Patience is needed boys, don’t forget the last 5 years! You’ll see in the next few seasons how we improve! It takes time. Rome wasn’t built in a day!

15.) 02 Oct 2017 07:07:15
Rome wasn’t built in a day, only hone cause a certain someone wasn’t in that particular job 😁

16.) 02 Oct 2017 07:13:39
Bloody autocorrect 🙄

Rome wasn’t built in a day only because a certain someone wasn’t on that particular job

17.) 02 Oct 2017 15:11:48
Ok let's blindly carry on averaging 2 goals conceded a game the improvement will be because were playing league 1 teams you just can't let that many goals in in the championship

18.) 02 Oct 2017 15:32:27
RJ. Yet we are only a small amount of points away from third place

19.) 02 Oct 2017 16:02:58
Chill there's no chance of Bolton,Sunderland,Birmingham,Burton finishing above us all four are conceding as much or more than us,so no chance of playing league one.

20.) 02 Oct 2017 16:33:44
FF79. I'm not predicting anything, but the clubs you mentioned might not go down, there is too long to go to guess.

21.) 02 Oct 2017 17:13:51
Can't see past it bright, not guessing just believe when things are not right at the top as in the case of Bolton and Sunderland, pretty much doomed, can even see Bolton back in administration,Cottrell has got to sort out 20 million pounds of misfits,if the nutters that run Brum give him any time that is. and Burton will struggle.

22.) 02 Oct 2017 17:41:25
We nearly the same points away from the bottom 3 as well abf 😁 I'm not being a doomer just looking at the facts this defence has been like this for 56 games now and 20 of those under mw and absolutely no progression I know you need the rub of the green but we have had a seasons worth in 10 games lol people say give it time when for me this defence has there time already and failed miserably

23.) 02 Oct 2017 19:07:01
Interesting you say same defence has failed, but it's not the Same, darikwa has only come in this season, traore is playing regularly for the first time, and Worrall has only come in late last season,so it's not the same old guard really.
It's not just the defenders it's the lack of tackling in midfield, how many times have you seen an opponent run from his own half to our penalty area? A lot, that needs addressing as well,It's not just defenders who need to defend.

14 Jan 2017 05:47:45
Well, what was left of any respect for the history of Forest has come crashing down. Whoever's fault it was it has done unrepairable damage to Forest. I would certainly advise any decent player left there to get the hell out of dodge as the team will surely go only in one direction while under the control of the current owners who are only interested in one thing and that's down.

It breaks my heart to see this happen to a once unbeatable team and the object of my emotions for the last 4 decades.

Bezman

1.) 14 Jan 2017 14:03:24
We just don't know where the problem lies in this debacle but it suits some to just blame everything on Fawaz (and I'm not defending him as all the evidence suggests he's a bit of a muppet) However there are at least two things to consider. Firstly, why did the American's proposed move for both Everton and Swansea collapse? I suggest all is not as it appears. Secondly, the rubbish 'reporting' from the Nottingham Evening post has just smeared Fawaz at every turn without any hard facts - "The Evening Post understands" Has been "linked to" it is reported that (by who, from who, for who? ) "It is thought that" etc etc. We want news not substantiated views. And so Fawaz is to blame for everything though I think you will find that the Americans were quite was was reported
Whatever, i doubt we will get relegated because though we have a crap team with many journeymen/underachievers/non triers we are capable of winning the odd match here and there (a la Ipswich, Barnsley) and the dross below us probably can't. Rotherham, Wigan, Burton can improve in the January window but we can and probably will. Just remember most business is not done until the last minute as clubs try to hike up the price by threatening to hold out. If we have the likes of Cash and Worral playing then we will have at least some caring heart and that gives a bit of hope. As for the prima donna Lansbury get rid to the highest bidder. Its a shame we didn't let him go to Villa and get Gardener here. It's all going to be alright

The ref must have Luton in the sweepstake. That was never a red card he hardly touched the Luton player. The reds are shocking and Knockart and Lolley has hardly touched the ball.

Bezman

1.) 28 Oct 2020 21:21:53
I hope Forest get a second and Rea gets his third by scoring for Forest. 👍 😁.

31 Jul 2020 05:16:44
On a lighter note. I laughed last night as Cardiff and Neil Harris messed up good. Harris laughed and joked about us when we fell out of the playoffs. So what happened last night must of been our fault as well for calling back Uncle Albert. That Harris is a complete one. Hahaha.

Bezman

1.) 31 Jul 2020 08:41:28
Personally am happy both welsh clubs got knocked out, don’t like either of them, Cardiff play long ball and long throws, nothing else to their game, crap football 2 bob club, bitter manager,

2.) 31 Jul 2020 10:14:39
Wasnt aware he'd had a laugh at our expense. In that case I dislike him even more than I did anyway.
I'm with you on that one Stevie. They should both be playing on their own patch.

3.) 31 Jul 2020 11:08:29
Oh yes he had the right hump because of Uncle Albert. The bloke is a first class muppet 👍 Then of coarse all the sad way Cardiff are dealing with the Sala episode which is also disgusting.

4.) 31 Jul 2020 11:17:46
Welsh teams should stick to Welsh leagues and not play in the English leagues.

5.) 31 Jul 2020 16:36:49
Yes and English teams play in only English Leagues, no Europa or European cups etc.

6.) 31 Jul 2020 19:21:47
Bsered what’s that got to do with it? You qualify for those tournaments by performance in your national domestic league,

7.) 31 Jul 2020 19:43:49
Bsered oh yeah and Cardiff used to once their way into Europe winning the welsh cup, maybe English clubs should have been allowed to compete for that free ride into Europe, think even we could have beaten TNS and Afan lido,

8.) 31 Jul 2020 20:00:59
Couldn’t agree more @Stevie F
“Cheer up Neil Harris, oh what can it mean, “ you know the rest.

9.) 01 Aug 2020 02:19:47
Bsered why.

10.) 01 Aug 2020 08:26:37
Highly spurious, bsered.

11.) 01 Aug 2020 09:20:51
If the Welsh teams can compete and make the league stronger, why shouldn't they be able to play in our leagues.

Both Swansea and Cardiff have been to the Premiership much more recently than us, fair play to them.

As for Neil Harries, kind of what goes around comes around, that is poor behaviour by him.

12.) 01 Aug 2020 09:55:46
Stevie F: in Parliament Lloyd George (Welsh) around 1910, was making a speech about Home Rule, and said "There is a lot of talk about Home Rule for Ireland, Home Rule for Wales, Home Rule for Scotland, what about Home rule for England?"
To which an MP shouted "Home Rule for Hell!", and immediately Lloyd George replied: "Agreed, every man to his own Country!"

13.) 01 Aug 2020 10:04:09
Bsered alright you’re saying no European competition? for anyone?, in football terms Wales is a foreign country,

14.) 01 Aug 2020 10:06:15
Bsered and by the way I did know Lloyd George was welsh, you didn’t have to clarify,

15.) 01 Aug 2020 13:53:52
Ginger could have understood it, if you had said Celtic and Rangers would make the league stronger, but Cardiff and Swansea? Grubbing around lower divisions for most of their existence? I am sure you must have been on the end of some ‘welsh hospitality’ At those ‘welcoming’ venues, plenty of abuse for their English ‘guests ‘ but love being in the lucrative English league system, hypocrites, Cardiff used the back door into Europe through the welsh fa cup, which is much easier than us winning the county cup, use the welsh system when it suits them, but sponge off ours the rest of the time,

16.) 01 Aug 2020 14:49:06
Ginger okay bring Celtic and rangers in, and ask anderlecht, and Brugge in? How have they made the English league stronger? for most of their history they’ve been lower leagues, the have their own fa, their own national team, have in the past used the welsh fa cup as a back door into Europe, and am sure you must have been to Cardiff and Swansea, subject visiting English fans to what can only be described as racist abuse, of course this doesn’t matter, you can say what you like about the English and it’s okay, if your argument is they’ve been more in the premier more recent than us so what? Nottingham happens to be in England, Cardiff, Swansea in football terms are from a foreign country, their fans spout anti English bile at visiting clubs, but are happy to sponge off a more affluent league system, makes me sick,

17.) 02 Aug 2020 11:25:58
They've belonged to the league along with Wrexham for all time.

14 Jan 2020 18:48:09
That's it then Mir has had his loan terminated so I would put money on a striker is close to signing for us. Who? That's the question and now with Grabban being the only striker it's getting a bit close to the knuckle COYR.

Bezman

1.) 14 Jan 2020 19:28:00
It's getting nowhere near the knuckle,17 days left yet.
Who have WBA
LEEDS
BRENTFORD
SHEFFIELD
BRISTOL
SWANSEA signed?
Notorious difficult window and most buisness won't be done till the last few days.
It's the same every year and not just us.

2.) 14 Jan 2020 19:54:11
Looks like deal for Glenn Murray is getting closer.

3.) 14 Jan 2020 20:05:59
Fff79 yes mate but as you and fawazmark2 said when I was discussing Leeds cup tie, we ain’t bothered about them we’re forest fans😄.

4.) 14 Jan 2020 20:08:26
Walker recalled I bet still a major upgrade on mir.

5.) 14 Jan 2020 20:12:44
Good memory Stevie. Just beat me to that one.

6.) 14 Jan 2020 20:13:32
The reason I said we're getting close to the knuckle is the fact that if Grabban gets injured who in are we going to use as a front man and score them goals we need. We need a striker sooner rather than later like within the next couple of days. That's what I call close to the knuckle. I do realise there is 17 days left but if grabban does gets knackered waiting that length of time will take us right out of the playoffs.

7.) 14 Jan 2020 20:23:39
I know we are forest fans stevie, the impatience gives it away😁😁.

8.) 14 Jan 2020 20:37:59
I was just pointing out that hardly any side has managed to bolster their team and it won't be for the want of not trying.
You were going on about how good Leeds were, still lost and lost again on Saturday. 🤔🤔.

9.) 14 Jan 2020 20:47:03
Fff79 😄no mate, I was going on about how they were more positive than us about the cup tie, and how they went for it, perhaps you had too much home bitter at the fairham in your youth, and it’s affecting your memory in later life mate😄😄.

10.) 14 Jan 2020 20:49:26
Fff79 And I said the game was a microcosm of last season, started fast but burnt out in the second half, 😊.

11.) 14 Jan 2020 20:58:08
Lamouchi got it right though and beleisa didnt, stuff positive trying to beat arsenal or Chelsea in their back yard when your in the promotion race.
Brown and mild mate in the peacock.
Must have been you on the bitter. 😁😁🍺.

12.) 14 Jan 2020 20:59:36
Microcosm? You can get tablets for that!

13.) 14 Jan 2020 21:08:34
S_getty 😊.

14.) 14 Jan 2020 21:48:44
Microcosm, just had to look that up, a Greek word meaning small world, people really are getting above their station on this literally challenging ambiguous Latin and Greek associated metaphorical institutionalised directive and I don't think anyone can argue with that!

15.) 14 Jan 2020 21:56:43
Microcosm
Definition is a small subset of a whole that is generally considered to be representative of the whole.
An example of microcosm is a small act of the population which is surveyed in order to get an idea of the opinions of the general population.
Just thought I'd clear that up for you guys2🤣🤣🤣🎂🎂🎂.

16.) 14 Jan 2020 22:41:20
Yum yum home Mild - my first regular pint . £6 = five pints and 10 beno’s in 1992! Crap ale but good days!

17.) 14 Jan 2020 22:46:16
I have to say, that I'm absolutely not an advocate of unnecessarily, pompous and self indulgent rhetorical meanderings. So I'm off to bed.

18.) 14 Jan 2020 22:06:00
Fff79 it’s amazing what you can learn at fairham comp mate, 😄.

19.) 14 Jan 2020 23:31:40
No wonder they demolished it. 😂😂😂.

20.) 15 Jan 2020 07:11:04
Yep walked past the old site yesterday for the 1st time in ages the other day, got the old nostalgia cogs spinning, used to hate it when I was there, but it’s amazing how easy school was compared to real life afterwards! Lol.

21.) 15 Jan 2020 11:17:47
Funnily enough I'm working near the crusader don't tend to do much around Clifton.
Still keep in touch with some lads, reggie I see from time to time at the match always get the same text every birthday from him as we share same day, to my brother from another mother, 😀
Place has changed remember the village when it was a few thatched cottages and a post office plus orchards all spoilt now with houses.
Great time growing up there.

03 Aug 2019 19:28:33
Get ready for the armchair managers who think they know better. WBA second goal was a freak of a goal. Bring on the next game.

Bezman

1.) 03 Aug 2019 19:34:12
Bezman if you think that was a good performance then you either need glasses or you are deluded. Sorry, as a paying fan I will call it what it was- and that’s dross.
Anyway, we can only get better- surely we can play no worse. Lamouchi has a huge job on his hands for sure.

2.) 03 Aug 2019 19:35:07
Come on Bez, apart from the first ten minutes we did nothing, even with 3 strikers on the pitch. The clown of a manager is way out of his depth, and we have got yet another dud in the DoF.

3.) 03 Aug 2019 19:55:00
Hey I'm not saying it was a good performance at all. All I'm saying is it's the first game of the season and we were playing against a team that has been named a good bet to go up. We can definitely play better and I'm sure we will.

4.) 03 Aug 2019 19:59:01
Bit disrespectful mate whether your there or watch at home we all see and feel the same just with differing opinions. Just because someone pays x amount for a season ticket or goes to a dozen or so games doesn't make them more passionate than armchair fans. I've followed the reds for 40 years been to a few games and would love to watch them more but work, not living locally, living too far away or growing up where parents cudnt afford it is life. No expectations from me in fact no more frustration anymore just the hope that one day it happens.

5.) 03 Aug 2019 20:09:12
Well I'm by no means sure we will play any better. West Brom are considerably weaker than last year and today were there for the taking in the last 15 minutes. Even with Grabban, Mir and Johnson up front we couldn't get a shot on goal. Grabban I think is past it, Mir looks up for it, but we need another striker who will frighten the Championship, and I don't see any coming. Silva did nothing, bit like Carvalho last season. We lack any real creativity and motivation from what I saw.

6.) 03 Aug 2019 20:58:52
Again all I'm saying some people on here think it's easy to manage a team when its obviously isn't other wise they would be doing it. Yes everyone does have the right to have their opinions and fair play to everyone on here for having them. It's the first game of the season so let's give the team a chance to blend.

7.) 03 Aug 2019 21:08:49
Bezman yep but in 20 years you would think we could have found someone who could do the job.

8.) 03 Aug 2019 21:40:53
The team was beginning to blend last season so why gamble on this unknown man and a bunch of unknown players?

21 Jun 2019 05:47:12
I wonder if Joey Barton will have the gonads to have a pop at Roy Keane during the Carabao Cup first round. I'd put a tenner on it he won't. HAHAHA.

Bezman

1.) 21 Jun 2019 11:22:25
I wouldn't be surprised if he does Bez. Then he will run away and hide behind the substitutes.
That's his so called style.

I would say last year we would of played crap and lost because our heads lowered when the opposistion scored but now we have a fighting mentallity and keep going till the end. For me this is a 100% improvement from last season and to be fair if we can go away to place like Blackburn and get a point then its a good nights work. COYRs.

Undislosed amount on the Osborne sale so all the amounts being shouted about are pure speculation but if the local rag is to believed we turned down 3m but more likely to be arounf 3.5m to 4m but even they don't know definitely or ever will. But if that is correct then not a bad price for someone with 11 months left on his contract. Good luck to him for wanting to play in the Premiership.

Hey all i'm saying is everybody should have an opinion and eveybody has the right to think what they want because i moan about NF all the time because they are so frustrating. Every NF supporter has their own ideas on how they should play but at the end of the day we are not the manager and rightly or wrongly we should at some level support the manager and hope he gets it right. On to the players that have come in we have to trust the manager again unfortunatly but look in the past when we were getting some questionable players like Kenny Burns and a few others and i would say people were thinking the same about Brian and Peter.

FawazMark2, Red Red said buy the players the fans are suggesting and I'm saying what club in the world does that. The DOF is a clown by the sound of it and we need one that has championship experience or if not then get a manager again with championship experience.

UUUHHHH i don't fink so brian. Just a wild guess and could be wrong here but it could be we're building for the future. Just joking but its always a good idea to get good young players and fingers crossed will be good for the next few years.
