For extended period of exclusivity read "the bean counters have found Fawaz's numbers do not add up and liabilities are more than stated"? The fat lady has not even entered the building and not close to getting ready in the dressing room! This is going to get spun out until January so he can trouser some more readies from player sales Mark my words! I'd be very surprised if he shows his face in Nottingham any time soon?

Very sensible post REDINEXILE. My thoughts entirely but who could he sell? We have no assets. What he should do (although it doesn't get him owt) is flog the naming rights of city ground. It's always city ground to us. Makes it more attractive to the yank knowing a few mil a season will be coming in from that.

An exclusivity period is standard practice when buying any bigger business. It usually means that a price/deal has been agreed in principle but the buyer now needs to do their due diligence. Bit like agreeing a price for a house and then getting your surveyor and solicitor to check everything is in order. Fingers crossed that they don't find subsidence!
