S_Getty, I do not like cheating, and something does need doing about it, but it is unlikely anything will change anytime soon.

I feel however that it is one thing being appalled by someone cheating when it is done by the opposition, and we lose a point, or points.

Yet it is totally different when one of our own cheats, for instance fairly recently Grabban went down in the oppositions box under little or no contact, so he clearly cheated by going down.

Grabban as a result of going down won a penalty, yes i know he messed up and missed the penalty that he conned the referee into giving him so neither he, or Forest gained anything, not even adding to our goal difference.

After that game i do not remember anyone saying how disgusted they were with Grabban and what he did, or anyone saying what punishment he should be given.

So please tell me, is it alright to cheat if nothing is gained by it, or is it a case of all cheating is wrong, if it is the latter then why was there not all this fuss when Grabban cheated.

LC totally different. Firstly I didn’t think Grabbans was a penalty but it was a tackle where contact was made. Gayle had no contact whatsoever. He dived,Grabbans was a challenge/contact made for sure which whether you agree with or not was given.

Who cares anyway. We’re not in the top six because we’ve not been consistently good enough throughout the season. Football is rife with cheating always has been and always will be.

To be fair Robinson tried a shocker at Middlesbrough and got booked, I was more annoyed about the penalty the clown of a referee didn’t give us than the one he gave them

Perks10, I do not get it.

Off course it is worse to go down under no contact, than it is is when tackled, but if a player can stay on his feet when a tackle has been made he should do.

When a player goes down when he can stay on his feet he is trying to gain a advantage, which is cheating.

I did not realise that to be disgusted with a cheat, and to demand punishment against them is entirely down to the extent of their cheating.

A Cheat is a Cheat no matter what extent it is done to, so a demand for a punishment should be made no matter the extent.

You believe he could of stayed on his feet.Whether he could or not only he will know.A bad decision by a ref for a challenge where contact is made is one thing but Gayle dived anticipating contact which he didn’t get.Forest have been punished twice and WBA have had a slap on the wrists with a 2 game ban but crucially keep the point which in the end may secure automatic promotion.Add Leeds to that with the diving handball.Until clubs are punished with points deduction cheating will only be encouraged.

Very well put Perks. Whilst on the subject of contact I would say that I have total admiration for Joe Lolley for showing determination to keep driving on whilst being blatantly pulled back. He could so easily have gone to ground.
