Excellent win against brentford but If we are to have any chance at all of sneaking into the playoffs then we really need to pick up at least a point at west Brom and try to get a bit of a run going. we've done pretty well against the so called better teams this season so no reason why we can't go there and get something. really pleased for ryan yates who i thought was excellent and just shows what some of the youngsters can do if given a chance. hopefully we will see appiah feature aswell at some point as I'm convinced he's going to turn out to be some player. anyway, onwards and upwards boys and as always c. o. y. r.

Ryan Yates had a very good game. His passing went astray occasionally but his tacking was excellent. Never missed an opportunity to get stuck in. The team wasn't convincing but 3 points is 3 points. Grabban should've had, at least, a hat trick and Bonatini didn't quite know what he was meant to be doing. Goncalves was decent when he came on as well.

I agree Yates had a great game. Makes me laugh how someone who is simply a young replica of Watson (some qualities some mistakes ) is so lauded whilst Watson has probably endured castigation in this site like no other . Guess it’s because Ben ain’t ‘one of our own’

You have it all wrong 2star.

When some moan about Watson it is not because he is not from within Forest it is because he has had a bad game.

You say Yates is lauded, so he should be he scores goals and he gets stuck in, not afraid to put a tackle in, and strong.

He is not the finished article but is getting better all the time. Martin even admitted he took his chance when given it yesterday

The differences between Watson and Yates are quite simply.

Watson is never going to improve, and does not have many seasons left in him because of his age.

Yates because of his age, given he is willing to learn, and given the right guidance will learn from his mistakes and only get better.

That is why some are more patient, and forgiving of any his mistakes.

So long as they are young and they try we can justify castigating the other players because they’re old. Sounds reasonable .

Talent has to be there.

Be honest 2star, Two players make the same mistakes, one of them is on top money his career is nearly over and his hunger is not what it was.

The other player is and young talented the hunger burns fiercely and can only get better without demanding top wages.

Who would you prefer in the team.?

Neither of them colback and yacob for me. If Yates is better then he will play. Categorically though, I don’t want to see young players in the team I’d they are no better than our other players just for the sake of it. I saw enough of that last season.
