The club has got a dilemma if they really are thinking about replacing the manager.
If they are losing faith in him is it worth giving him any money in January leaving less for his possible replacement, or do they give him more money hoping he turns it around.
Should things go wrong and they sack him some time after January, is the new manager going to want any of the January buys.
I would like the manager to stay and turn things around and hope he learns from his mistakes, but it is anyone's guess that he will.

We have a director of football in place so realistically it shouldn’t matter what the manager wants. It’s the job of director of football to look for improvements for the first team. The manager can make suggestions and requests but the DOF tends to look for players that fit the bill and also help us keep to budget.

I've got a feeling Leeds will murder us on new years day, hope I'm wrong, but if that happens then the axe will fall.

The DOF looks for players that fit the bill?
What bill is that, different managers like their teams to play in different ways which needs different types of players.
How can any possible new manager, if there going to be one soon going to make any suggestions untill they are in the final stages of becoming the new manager.
A DOF should tell the manager the funds available then the manager gives him a list, which includes second, third, and fourth choices the DOF should then go about the players he can off the list.

I think the opposite will happen, we will hammer Leeds then Aitor gets the axe, seems familiar 🤔

Leeds are nothing to worry about provided we bring our A game. I really do not know what all the fuss is about? This league is going to be nip and tuck until May.
Everybody just has to keep their nerve, keep calm and carry on!

Redinexile I think yesterday felt like a defeat to most and even you must surely admit it wasn’t the managers finest hour , however I tend to agree that we have got to put it behind us and learn from it , we are still in with a shout of the play offs and I believe the manager should be given the chance to see the season through, but we need to put a run of wins together and soon ,else I believe the owner will lose patience,

I think that's what pissed karanka off after the Ipswich game knowing that he won't be able to spend the money on players he wanted.

I agree Stevie but have waited for top gear but it just doesn't look like coming. I think we need at least 20 wins so another 12 out of 22 so yes a run of wins needed asap and i think millwall and leeds are must wins.

Bang on NNR we have lost touch with the top two and are in danger of losing touch with the playoff teams now.

Must win games against Millwall and Leeds other wise AK will be gone imo.

Lost a lot of respect for the manager by what he did and said after the Norwich game.Taking of Robinson i could understand but then letting Janko spend 75% of his time in the opponents half attacking when he should have been defending beggared belief but as if that wasn't bad enough he takes off Cash and brings on DIAS!!!!

When asked why he said because of his height and defensive qualities he then proceeded to give the ball away twice miss a crucial tackle and mess up an easy clearance and cost us two goals.

Time for a change can;t win a game at home throws it away in the away games! goodbye AK
