I know Carvalho cost £13 mill, not broke any pots as yet we must be thinking long term . Patience needed with this lad he is still very wet behind the ears, this league takes some getting use to so give the lad time . We are so desperate for promotion it hurts, had so many new beginings, managers and owners we are punch drunk with it. When we get up, which we will it will cost us a pretty penny for class players, how deep do you want our owner to put his hand in his pocket. The stage is set for said Carvalho, yes we would have nurse maided him but that's what you do.
Watch out for the aerial threat from Crouch this weekend, he must fancy his chances against Pants, we need to protect the threat.

The trouble is, once we have nurse maided him he will be off to a bigger club. Even if we get to the Premier league he will leave once he has adjusted, and shown consistency.

Not being argumentative or rude to any one person on here but just my view a lot of fans seem quite happy to wait around for this youngster to get up to scratch and be a first team player week in week out when some weeks he looks awful ok I get it we invested what I would say his a stupid amount of money in a youngster that one day hopefully we will get something back now the thing is what really pissess me off is your quite happy to not want our youngsters to play first team football because there not up to it lol there's no patients with them you just want them shipped out sometimes fans on here contradict them selfs and really haven't a clue what they say from one minute to the next

I’m not sure what some of you lot a talking about or watching, Carvalho is joint second with five assists in the championship, mostly setting up goals for Grabban, which a few of you we’re slating not that long ago, we are conceding less goals which is a good sign for any side to get in the top six, build from the back, which was Cloughie’s methodology.

It’s no wonder why there’s a lack of atmosphere at the city ground, we’ll be known as the grumpy reds, Another win on Saturday then what are we going to complain about.

Demis there's no lack of atmosphere because the football is boring and how you can compare any team or set up to clough is beyond me he might of build from the back but he had a bloody good midfield and strike force it was sweet football at it's best I wonder if we do make it to the premier league how many karanka lovers will be asking for is head after a few games because he's no premier league manager and if by some mere chance he proves me wrong I will be the first to hold my hands up 😆

I get what your saying Skegs, but we have to remember this is still a fairly new side and the players need to express them self more, and I believe they’ve got the ability but they are afraid to show it because the fans are straight on the backs, that’s why they seem to perform better away from home, if and that’s a big IF we get to the prem we would see a whole different team.
Like you I remember the good old days, but they are gone and football has changed and so have the players mentality, but like you and me and the rest of us reds fans we can only keep dreaming,
COME ON U REDS

I can remember what the football was like when Clough arrived and it wasn’t pretty . It was a gradual improvement after a big overhaul of the squad. It takes time

Comparing some of our youngsters to the talent of Carvalho 😆 😆 😆

Can you name a No10 in our academy with anywhere near JC's potential?? No, thought not.

Although, I'd imagine some fans couldn't see potential if it fell into their half-time pint.

Not only is there not a no 10 in the academy, there isn't another one in the first team squad.
He has to play and our season will be defined a lot by how well he does.
He's definitely the better of the three with goncalves a waste of space altogether

Jc’’s potential is open to debate, and players in the championship who cost 13 mill are bought to be match winning regular stand out performers, and havnt been brought in for their potential

Trentender when Brian came he hardly had anything to spend no signing players from benfica for him he did make use of our home grown players woodcock, Robertson, o’neill,Anderson, etc karanka is a cheque book manager,of course I hope he succeeds, but his methods an situation are completely different to the great mans

That was after we were promoted he only signed O'hare McGovern, Clark and Barrett, all bargain basement signings, to get us promoted.
